Hiiiiiii friends!!!! Long time no talk!!! It's your girl Mell and I am back in 2023 with more podcast episodes! If you are new here, my name is Mellanie Villagrana my pronouns are she/her, I am 23 years old, and a Latina born and raised in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles County. I went to UC Santa Barbara (Class of 22') and got my Bachelor of Science in Psychological and Brain Sciences with a minor in Applied Psychology. I am a Cancer Sun, Virgo Moon, and Sagittarius Rising ;). I have been making podcasts since 2018 and posting throughout the years in 2019, 2020, and 2021 however I did not upload all of 2022. I have changed and grown a lot and have learned so much (as well as unlearned so much) and this podcast has been in the back of my mind with every lesson I have learned and every experience I have had. I can not wait to share with you all what I have learned throughout the years, and the experiences I have had that have led to my perspective and knowledge today. This introduction has a backstory to my upbringing and why I am passionate about public speaking and mental health as well as what to expect in future episodes. This year I will be having guests join me to talk about their own experiences and also have them share their knowledge and perspectives. I hope you enjoy it! Feel free to send me a message on Instagram @mail_ugh_knee or leave a comment/question/concern on Spotify!! Thank you --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/mellanievillagrana/message
Hey y’all you’re probably confused by the title. No I’m not saying give up on life… well maybe I am ahaha. This podcast is about why you should give up on things that are clearly not working out. It seems so simple but so many of us are taught by manifestation mantras and by society and media to keep trying and keep going on things! But i say to hell with that!! Give up on things that are NOT working! You’ll be so much better off! I really hope y’all enjoy this podcast!! Follow me on IG @mail_ugh_knee and on Spotify @mellanie for more podcasts i love y’all

Heyy y’all!! Thank you so much for tuning in to this podcast! This podcast is about why we should start GIVING ourselves love in addition to telling ourselves that we love ourselves. Telling ourselves we love ourselves only goes so far. It’s not until the actions follow that we start to believe that we’re worthy of love and that we love ourselves. By implementing action in addition to our mental dialogues about how we love ourselves, we start to recognize whether others fit into our self-love or not and adjust accordingly. This podcast is meant to change the way we think about self-love and how that helps in our relationships with others. Take what resonates and leave what doesn’t! I hope you all enjoy this podcast :-)

What's up ya'll this is Mellanie Villagrana and I am back with another podcast. Today on the podcast I have a special guest, Miguel Carillo. Miguel is 21 years old and lives in Los Angeles County. We touch on the topic of cancel culture and how we believe it can do more harm than good. Cancel culture normalizes the idea that humans can't make mistakes and that they must be doxed. For those of you who do not know, cancel culture as Wikipedia defines it is "a form of boycott in which the called-out person is also thrust out of social or professional circles — either on social media or in the real world or both. They are said to be "canceled"." We relate cancel culture to the U.S. prison system, talk about the origins of cancel culture, discuss certain celebrities who have been cancelled like Johnny Depp, Lana Del Rey, and Doja cat to name a few, then we talk about what we can do instead of cancelling people. Thank yall so much for tuning in!! Please like and share!! Follow me on spotify @mellanie for more podcasts. You can follow me on social media my IG is : @mail_ugh_knee Guest today is Miguel Carillo IG is: @pinheadmiguel Have a great day and remember to be compassionate, stand your ground, and have fun MUAHHHH xoxoxox
