Netflix recently released the documentary "Trainwreck: Woodstock'99" which takes a look at the events that transpired at the music festival which promised peace and music and ended in riots, angry patrons, and assault. I'll be breaking down each of the three episodes sharing my thoughts on the festival promoters, where they went wrong, and how event organizers today can learn lessons from Woodstock's failures!

In this episode, I'm joined by DanceSafe.org's Education Manager Rachel Clark. Rachel and I discuss my recent experience where I witnessed someone becoming unconscious at Electric Forest. We chat about how to handle this type of situation amongst other common medical emergencies at live events like dehydration and lose of electrolytes. Rachel shares information on how to seek help, ways to identify what might be wrong with someone, how to accurately report what occurred, what Narcan is and how to use it if needed amongst many other helpful lifesaving tips.

In this episode, I'm joined by one of England's most exciting underground house acts - Bontan! Bontan first got into music at the ripe age of 16. He started booking gigs before he was even old enough to get into the clubs he was playing at and went on to start producing his own music.
In 2013, his remix of Josh Butler's track 'Got a Feeling' became the biggest selling record on Beatport (a trend that later repeats itself). He's played some of the biggest festivals in Europe, released tracks on labels like Hot Creations, 20/20 Vision, Elrow, Circus Recordings and more. The accolades have continued to rack up for Bontan as he continues to innovate in the house music scene. I can't wait for him to share his story with you today!

Today we discuss the efforts DanceSafe has taken to ensure people can rave safely which includes on-site services at festivals, drug testing kits, and online education tools via their website and social media accounts.
Rachel helps debunk some popular myths that I think will clear up a lot of false narratives people have around taking certain substances. We also chat about things like how to PROPERLY test your drugs, if vitamin regimens really work, the frequency in which people take substances and how damaging that can be and how to approach our return to live events safely.
