n February 5, 2002, the arrest of Robert Pickton marked a pivotal moment in the investigation into the disappearances of numerous women in British Columbia, Canada. Constable Nathan Wells of the RCMP's Coquitlam Detachment played a crucial role in obtaining a search warrant after receiving information about Pickton's possession of an illegal firearm, specifically a Mac 10 FULL AUTO handgun.
Prompted by a former truck driver for the Pickton family who disclosed the presence of illegal firearms on the property, law enforcement swiftly moved to secure a search warrant. The subsequent raid on Pickton's pig farm on February 5 revealed not only several illegal and unregistered firearms but also disturbing evidence linking missing women to the property.
During the search, investigators uncovered women's clothing, shoes, jewelry, and even personal items like an asthma inhaler prescribed to Sereena Abotsway, one of the missing women. The discovery of Mona Wilson's blood in a motorhome further escalated the severity of the situation. Pickton was re-arrested on February 22, 2002, and initially charged with two counts of murder. However, as the investigation progressed, a staggering total of 26 murder charges were eventually laid against him.
While in custody at the Surrey jail, Pickton unknowingly shared a cell with an undercover RCMP officer. Believing the officer to be another detainee, Pickton made chilling admissions, confessing to the murders of 49 women and expressing a desire to make it 50.
Simultaneously, the Pickton pig farm transformed into the largest crime scene in Canadian history, with extensive forensic efforts undertaken to recover evidence. This included the collection of 200,000 DNA samples and the meticulous sifting through 383,000 cubic yards of soil in search of human remains, amounting to a staggering cost of nearly $70 million.
Additionally, incriminating videotapes emerged, featuring conversations with Pickton's acquaintances. Scott Chubb, a friend of Pickton, recounted Pickton suggesting a method to kill a female heroin addict by injecting her with windshield washer fluid. Another tape revealed Pickton allegedly discussing his modus operandi for murdering sex workers, involving handcuffing, strangling, bleeding, and gutting them before feeding their remains to pigs. These tapes provided further damning evidence against Pickton, shedding light on the extent of his depravity and callousness.

Tatiana Dokhotaru's life took a dark turn when she made a distress call to the emergency services. However, due to the lack of specific details provided during the call, the police were unable to pinpoint her location among the 297 units in the tower block in Liverpool. It took nearly 24 hours before Tatiana's body was discovered in her Sydney apartment, thanks to the alertness of a concerned neighbor.
The primary suspect in this case is Danny Zayat, Tatiana's estranged partner. He is currently in custody, facing charges related to domestic violence, including assault, stalking, and causing damage to property. However, the investigation is still ongoing, with the police treating Tatiana's death as suspicious.
The response of the authorities to the initial distress call has raised significant questions about the effectiveness of their actions. A critical incident investigation has been launched to examine the response and determine the identity of the anonymous caller. The scrutiny of the police's handling of the situation is necessary to prevent similar tragedies in the future.

Trauma bonding is a psychological phenomenon in which the victim develops an emotional attachment to the abuser. This is possible as a result of the abuser's tendency to switch between controlling and adoring conduct, which generates a sense of unpredictability and excitement. In addition, the victim can feel obligated to the abuser for periods when they received love or support, which would make ending the relationship challenging. Even when the victim is aware that the connection is harmful, trauma bonding's effects can endure for a long time and make it challenging for them to end it. To assist break the cycle of abuse and start the healing process, victims should seek support from a dependable friend, relative, or therapist.

WARNING: This story contains details that may disturb some readers.Leonard Krekic, who worked in Penticton and other cities in B.C., was found to have committed professional misconduct and unprofessional conduct while treating multiple female patients between 2012 and 2019 by a disciplinary panel on Aug. 5.On Dec. 21, the College of Massage Therapists of B.C. rendered their decision on what Krekic’s punishment would be.That punishment will be a ban from registering with the College to work as a massage therapist until January 1, 2048, and a fine and costs totalling $105,952.51.Six different former clients of Krekic had filed allegations against him with the College, beginning with an allegation filed in 2019. “This is one of the most serious cases to ever come before the Discipline Committee due to the nature and gravity of multiple instances of misconduct involving many different patients extending over a period of years,” reads part of the Aug 5 decision.“Sexual misconduct is a particularly serious form of misconduct because it involves a breach of trust and abuse of patients. Generally speaking, evil intentions can be defined as deliberate actions or motives that cause harm or suffering to others.Some people believe that evil intentions stem from a lack of empathy or compassion, and that individuals who engage in evil actions do not fully understand or care about the impact of their actions on others. Emotional abuse can be just as harmful as physical abuse.Emotional abuse can be difficult to recognize, as it often involves subtle tactics such as manipulation, gaslighting, and verbal abuse.Hypnotherapy can be an effective tool for helping individuals who have been in a relationship with a narcissist to heal from the emotional and psychological trauma caused by the abuse. He was convicted of the kidnappings, rapes, and murders of several young women, including his wife Karla Homolka's younger sister Tammy Homolka. Bernardo also committed a series of sexual assaults known as the "Scarborough Rapist" attacks prior to the murder of Homolka and the other girls. He was arrested in 1993 and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for 25 years.

The Barnardo Trail was Justice Served?Paul Kenneth Bernardo also known as The Scarborough Pedo Rapist and The Schoolgirl Killer, is a Canadian serial killer and serial rapist. He is known for initially committing a series of rapes in Scarborough, Ontario, a suburb of Toronto, between 1987 and 1990, before subsequently committing three murders with his then-wife Karla Homolka; among these victims was her young sister Tammy Homolka. After his capture and conviction, Bernardo was sentenced to life imprisonment and was later declared a dangerous offender, thus making it unlikely that he will ever be released from prison.At his October 17, 2018 parole meeting, evidence from expert psychiatric reports found that he had "deviant sexual interests sexual sadism, voyeurism, and paraphilia narcissistic personality disorder Bernardo scored 35 out of 40 on the Psychopathy Checklist, a psychological assessment tool used to assess the presence of psychopathy in individuals

The Mother of (The Late) Vanessa Amos (also known as Ezra to some)
“Police initially told me that Vanessa allegedly fell/jumped or was possibly pushed from the 25th floor of an High Rise building that was still under construction.
I spoke to Vanessa at 3:13pm - the same day she died - to offer her a ride to the airport.
She had her tickets booked for April 4th to go and visit family and friends in Vancouver for her Birthday, April 5th.
I have eye witness reports who are willing to go on record – including the young couple who first attended to Vanessa before authorities arrived.
He said at first it appeared to be falling construction debris but then he saw the movement so he rushed to see if he could aid her and shouted for help.
He stated that Vanessa was entangled in a blue tarp and clearly had a black extension cord tied around her neck and that she was wearing whitish work gloves
She was still alive, attempting to speak but no clear words came out.
The man also stated that he clearly remembers someone shouting “Vanessa! Vanessa!” over and over.
Which would imply that she was not alone at the time of her death.
Multiple witnesses have stated that the police showed up within minutes, took no statement from anyone or asked any questions and they cleared the scene within 30 minutes of my daughter’s body hitting the ground.
The street level corner of Bloor St. and Bathurst St. Toronto. One eye witness has already given a recorded statement saying that her body could not have come from more than the 7th floor. My daughter passed away on the evening of March 31, 2022 at approximately 8:30pm.”

She first approached me in May 2022 regarding the unsettling circumstances of Vanessa's death.
I spoke extensively with Tara, family members and friends who reported many strange events, police arrests, her house being set on fire.
Vanessa reported being in fear for her life.
Vanessa passed away tragically on the roadsides of a busy downtown Toronto street on March 31 after falling from a highrise building at a construction site on the corner of Bathurst Street and Bloor Street West.
The same day after a psychiatric hospital release.
The circumstances of her release are not fully understood.
According to Mom she last heard from Vanessa at 3:13 p.m. the day of the fatal fall.
In a text, Vanessa was packing for an upcoming trip to Vancouver.
To reconnect with family and start a new job in Vancouver, unfortunately she never made it on that Flight.
This podcast also includes an eyewitness account who saw Vanessa fall from the 6 th floor and was with her in her last moments of life.

Mission’s Jane Doe is the only unidentified female homicide victim of serial killer Robert Pickton.
On Feb. 23, 1995, a partial skull with an attached vertebra was located in a creek by a person filling their water bottle.
The creek was situated just south of the Lougheed Highway, east of the Ruskin bridge. Mission B.C.
The woman’s DNA profile has been provided to every lab across Canada and, along with the composite drawings, has been shared with Interpol and its 188 member countries.
In August 2002, bones recovered during the search of Pickton's farm in Port Coquitlam were confirmed to be genetically linked to the partial skull.
Here is what investigators have been able to determine about Jane Doe: Caucasian female, 20 to 40 years old.
Death would have been sometime between about 1985 and 1995.
Missing teeth in the upper right portion of her jaw, may have worn dentures.
It is believed her skull was cut in half with a power saw.
Robert Pickton's pig farm was searched in August 2002.
Not only did searchers find more human skulls mutilated in a fashion similar to the victim, but heel bones, ankle bones, and a rib bone belonging to this victim were found buried in a pit behind Pickton's slaughterhouse.
Between 1983-2002, Pickton may have been responsible for up to the murders or disappearances of forty-nine women, many of them from Vancouver's Downtown Eastside.

There were always questions about his brother Dave, who lived on the farm whose bedroom contained multiple sex toys, including one bearing the DNA of an unidentified woman whose DNA was also found in one of the slaughterhouse freezers.
William Pickton became a person of interest to the police in early 2001 when a task force began collecting the DNA of women missing from the downtown eastside of Vancouver. Georgina Faith Papin — Last seen: March 1, 1999 Hand bones buried near the piggery under a platform in the slaughterhouse. Brenda Ann Wolfe — Last seen: March 5, 1999 Her jawbone in a debris pile in the former piggery. DNA on a leather jacket in Pickton’s bedroom closet. DNA on keys found near handcuffs and legcuffs (one of them bearing Pickton’s DNA) in the loft of the workshop. Andrea Joesbury — Last seen: June 5, 2001 Head, hands and feet in a bucket in workshop freezer No. 2. DNA on an earring and ring in the slaughterhouse.- DNA on a black nylon jacket and black leather boots in Pickton’s bedroom. DNA on the bathroom wall and on a pillowcase in Pickton’s laundry room. Sereena Abotsway — Last seen: July 18, 2001 Head, hands and feet in a bucket in workshop freezer No. 2. DNA also inside the bucket with Joesbury’s remains. Her blood on a Solomon ski bag, containing two syringes also bearing her DNA, in Pickton’s office. An inhaler prescribed to Abotsway inside the ski bag, and four other inhalers in the garbage outside Pickton’s trailer along with some Revenue Canada documents in her name. Mona Wilson — Last seen: Dec. 1, 2001 Head, hands and feet in a bucket in the piggery. DNA belonging to her and Pickton on a dildo attached to a .22-calibre revolver in his laundry room. Large blood stains on a foam mattress, bed platform and walls in a motorhome on the farm.
Between 1978 and 2001, at least 65 women disappeared from Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside.
The disappearances of Women of Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside began to accelerate mid-1990s and ended when Robert Pickton was arrested in February 2002. Robert Pickton was just one of a growing list of monsters who were considered prime suspects in the disappearance of Vancouver sex workers in the year before his arrest, A long list of suspects who had previously sexually assaulted, abused or murdered sex workers. A list of 600 suspects and 100 were considered very dangerous predators.
The Stolen Sisters of East Vancouver. Part 2. This alcoholic barber, was linked to the deaths of ten different indigenous women. 1965 and 1988. Gilbert is the first Canadian known to use alcohol as a murder weapon. His victims were First Nations women who lived in East Vancouver. Jordan was a heavy drinker drinking upward of 50 onces of Vodka everyday. and a regular in dive bars along Hastings street and East Vancouver. Gilbert Jordan was short and chubby, with a bald head and thick black-rimmed glasses.
With his meek appearance he would offer money to women to drink or have sex with him, and plied her with lots free flowing alcohol in his barber shop, or a hotel room. He offered more money if she could chug straight liquor out the bottle. When she passed out, he forced more alcohol down her throat, and sexual assulted her as she died. May this creep rot in Hell!

Indigenous women and girls have been the primary targets for violent predators and serial killers in the DTES, Canada’s poorest neighbourhood.
The case of Lisa Marie Young June 30, 2002 this 21 year old woman was last seen at a house party and its believed she was sexually assaulted, murdered and videotaped by known criminals in the Nanaimo drug world. I interviewed David Vella a former gangster who knew these monsters who were at the house and provide insight and testimony of this very disturbing case. Cpl. The disturbing disappearance of Tamaira Nadine Thompson.
She met a man name Darcy Kozak on a dating website.
Tamaira was manipulated into putting a truck in her name that Darcy used to run over a commissionaire security guard and crashing the truck through a furniture store window.
Tamaria witnessed a brutal torture and savage murder of a homeless man named Kenneth Robinson, 45 years old, disabled from Nanaimo BC.
Darcy Kozak admitted confining torturing, beating, burning and stabbing Robinson in a trailer near Shawnigan lake in May 2007.
Robinson was left still alive to die under a tarp. His skeleton was found Aug 9 2007.
Darcy Kozak plead guilty to killing and torturing 3 different men.
Tamaria was told by police investigators she had nothing to fear and wasn’t needed to testify as a witness because of the other murders.
Tamaria has never seen alive by friends since these events.
