Sam Doughton is joined by Argyle Report founder Turner Walston from the stands in the Dean E. Smith Center to break down UNC's season sweep over Duke. They talk about the pivot points of the game, Cam, Kenny and Luke's senior speeches, and look ahead to the ACC men's basketball tournament next week in Charlotte.
Fresh off their first week of class, Sam Doughton and Kirk Meyer sit down to recap UNC's win over N.C. State, how it's ok to enjoy watching Zion play if you're a UNC fan, work through Nassir Little's midseason slump, and preview men's basketball's game against Louisville, before doing a quick whip around of UNC athletics to end the show.
Argyle Audio meets up one last time at the end of the fall semester, with two special guests. Editor Sam Doughton is joined by former Argyle EIC C Jackson Cowart and former DTH assistant sports editor (and occasional Argyle contributor) Jeremy Vernon to break down some of the biggest news in Tar Heel sports, and to remember the last time UNC and Gonzaga played basketball.
The trio starts discussing their reaction to Larry Fedora's firing (2:15) and the hiring of Mack Brown (7:15), before assessing Brown's initial success on the recruiting trail and hiring his assistants (10:40), including Jeremy's thoughts on UNC's chances on flipping Sam Howell (15:45), before ending with their favorite moments from the Fedora Era (22:15).
They then explore how the controversy of Silent Sam took a turn toward UNC athletics this past week, and how both current and former student-athletes are speaking out against the statue in multiple open letters (28:20).
Finally, Jeremy and Jackson discuss their memories covering UNC's national championship win over Gonzaga in 2017 while working for the Daily Tar Heel (47:00), filled in between with discussion of how UNC fans perceive Gonzaga vs Villanova (59:20), fun moments behind the scenes of covering the tournament (1:03:45) and a crash course for Jackson on if UNC has a chance at the title this season (1:12:30).

Sam Doughton and Kirk Meyer discuss the aftermath of Hurricane Florence, the games that were cancelled because of it, and how it affects the Tar Heels’ season, before briefly reviewing UNC’s loss to ECU. The pair then previews UNC’s game against Pitt, why Larry Fedora has had success against the Panthers, and why Pat Narduzzi thinks the Tar Heels have had an edge, and then end with a rapid fire overview of how the Fall Olympic Sports look entering conference play.
