Welcome to part 3/3 of this episode where we continue our exploration and deep dive of spirituality.

Spirituality is a crucial pillar to exploring inner work and self-development; however, spirituality is such a vast topic that one can easily get pulled in many directions (or even the opposite, boxing oneself into a narrow tunnel).

We aim to help men become heart-based leaders at the Kings of Hearts. To do this, the man must become whole within himself and look at all parts within himself. Spirituality is one of these parts; the conscious King is constantly tethered to something larger than himself.

Yenukwa and Andy created this podcast series of three parts as a platform for you to begin this journey of exploration, starting with awareness and ending with practical next steps.

Yenukwa and Andy are back with a 1v1 dialogue about the generational impact on men's work, masculinity, and KOH. This conversation was inspired by the popular anime Attack On Titan's storyline. It got both KOH founders reflecting on the importance of doing the inner work for us AND future generations. There is a line that Yenukwa received from his mentor years ago: "What You Don't Transform From, You Transfer On To." It is a powerful statement that serves as an anchor for this podcast episode.

Wow. We have to start with that expression. Just wow. What a passionate and heart-led topic on relationships. We talked about the highs, lows, and everything in between. Deepening the topic with why these experiences and people we relate to/dance with become our most excellent teachers (if we choose to see it this way).

This will be a 3-part series where Yenukwa and Andy provide a dynamic conversation on conscious relationships and how to navigate them as a King of Hearts.

What's up? Great to have you back on the Kings of Hearts Podcast. Today we dive into our infamous King's Code. We created this code 2 years ago as an expansion of our four pillars: Awareness, Character, Vulnerability, and Service.

Many modern men today live without principles, resulting in a lack of direction, ungroundedness, and reacting to life instead of responding. The King's Code is created for men to have a starting place, and twelve anchors to support men holistically (mind, body, emotions, and spirit).

We trust you will take away what you need from this episode, and most importantly, grab a copy of the King's Code for yourself using the link below:

Our latest KOH podcast episode about the Joker mask is coming in hot this week. What is the joker mask? Join Yenukwa and Andy on this powerful episode and expect to get into topics such as:

  • Using humour to deflect
  • The Joker mask stems from unworthiness
  • Knowing how to spot the joker mask in friends and yourself
  • Having higher standards of checking in with one another

Thank you for joining us again on the Kings of Hearts Podcast. We truly enjoy creating this content for you as we know how important it is to create "entry points" to topics that are often discussed or even brought up. In this conversation, expect deeper perspectives between Yenukwa and Andy on loneliness, aloneness, and chosen family.

We specifically chose this topic to talk about and release in December because it is a typical month where people find themselves around family and friends more during the holidays. However, the reality is that this isn't an option for everyone, and the experience/feeling of loneliness during this time of year may set in intensely.

So whether that is you or someone you know who typically goes through loneliness or even depression during the holidays, tune in AND also share this episode with people in your community and circle.

Cheers, we trust you will find value here today.

Yenukwa and Andy break down another powerful section from John Wineland's book: From The Core. As mentioned in a previous episode about John's book, we like to take an inspirational piece and extract practical uses for our listeners. At KOH, we believe that growth isn't only in the information or wisdom but in the action of it.

In this episode, we look at the 11 Precepts of Conscious Warriorhood articulated beautifully by John. These eleven points are here to support men in living with integrity, power, and vulnerability. A code in support of our leadership from within. We trust you will enjoy this 60-minute dialogue.

  • Feeling other emotions aside from anger
  • Developing a healthy relationship with anger
  • Seeking a group of men proactively BEFORE shit hits the fan

In this episode, we are unpacking ancient wisdom from Stoic Philosopher King and Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius. The man, the myth, and the legend.

Time and time again, we reference Marcus Aurelius in our men's groups, on IG, and in podcast episodes. We felt this man deserves some respect by creating an episode solely about him.

Specifically, we chose ten quotes by Marcus and extracted practical wisdom for the modern man.

This is a powerful episode between just Andy and Yenukwa. We want to drop in and call in more of these types of one-on-one episodes. In this session Preventative or Proactive, what is the better approach when it comes to men's mental health? Our conversation naturally evolved into also discussing relationships and being responsible for our own mental health as men so we don't put it all on our partners (if you're in a relationship) or on others.

Lots of laughs, ah-ha moments, and banter between these two Kings made this conversation light, yet deep and purposeful.

We trust you will enjoy it.

What's up, everyone?

Welcome to the Kings of Hearts Podcast. We are excited to dive back into a deep deep DEEP conversation with you. In this episode, we address questions that were submitted by our guests at the KOH online event back in September.

The questions were all within the realm of Sports and Masculinity.

Here are the questions that we addressed

  • What traits come to mind when you think of hyper-masculinity?
  • Are hyper-masculinity and toxic masculinity synonymous? What about genuine self-confidence?
  • What role do coaches have around masculinity in sport and how can coaches foster a positive environment around masculinity?
  • What does healthy masculinity look like in sport?
  • How does healthy competition look like?
  • What does healthy locker room talk look like?

Tune in to this Kings of Hearts episode where we sit down with Alan Frank to deep dive into the topic of addiction and the journey through recovery and how that all ties into Alan's personal story. We also touch on topics of body dysmorphia, masculinity in the gay community, sex, and how that relates to masculine culture. Alan Frank is a soon-to-be Recovery Coach and has previously worked at the Canadian Mental Health Association as a facilitator. We had the pleasure of helping Alan co-create a program for men called 'Men Let's Talk'.
