Since debuting on 2020vision recordings in the mid-00’s Audiojack have risen to become one of electronic music’s most exciting and unique duos. Now releasing on Crosstown Rebels, they also run the record label Gruuv, and have built a stellar reputation for their epic back-to-back DJ sets.

Twenty years ago today, Robot, the record that started everything for us was released, so there couldn’t be a better day to re-introduce it as part of our 20 Years of Audiojack retrospective!Summer 2005. We’d only been making music for a few months when, dancing on the CircoLoco terrace in Ibiza, we had an idea: what if we made a track specifically to get played at DC10?Early 2006, we’re standing in a Leeds record shop, pitching our first demo. We’d already sent it to dozens of labels and received just one reply. As the CD played, the DJ nodded politely until it reached the last track, Robot. He said his friend might be interested in it for his new label and picked up the phone. That friend was the much-missed Matt Tolfrey, who took a chance on two unknown producers from Leeds and signed Robot to his fledgling label, Leftroom Records. That summer, after Robot had been signed but before it was released, we were back on the CircoLoco dancefloor. Luciano was playing when something strangely familiar came through the speakers. We looked at each other in disbelief: it was Robot, and the dancefloor was going off. As the track reached the end, while we were still trying to process what had just happened, Luciano mixed in a second copy and played it all over again. A very special moment for us.Sitting somewhere between electro and techno, Robot was memorably described by Lee Burridge as sounding like “a toaster stuck in a K-hole.” We already revisited the track for our 2015 retrospective, so this time we wanted to honour the original vibe by creating a new edit and mixdown that retains its strange, unruly character but fits more naturally into our sets today. The original 2006 Leftroom release was remixed by an exciting emerging producer called Lee Mortimer. Twenty years later, Lee is better known as Friend Within, so inviting him back to remix Robot again felt like the perfect way to complete the story. His new version is unmistakably Friend Within: a solid house groove with touches of UK garage and bags of character. For more of the story behind Audiojack, listen to episode one of the 20 Years of Audiojack podcast, available now on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and YouTube. Episode two coming soon. :)

It’s been a while since we recorded a club mix! Last Saturday we were in Frankfurt at Tanzhaus West: it was our last Audiojack gig of the year and the club’s 22nd birthday so we kept it energetic and varied, playing some favourites from this year and a preview into 2026…
Rolladisco has a big rolling bassline, fairground vibes, and a relentless energy, it’s a pure party track that we made for the dancefloor. Out now on Club Sweat…
King Roc was one of our biggest inspirations when we started Audiojack, we’d play his remix of Holderman - Left / Right Switch on repeat. We loved the electronic vibe of tracks like this and Chicken Lips - He Not In, it was this fresh electro house sound that inspired us to start making our own music as we wanted more of it for our own DJ sets! Our music tastes always seem to go in round cycles, and we’ve been enjoying this vibe again lately, so we made Wannabe. An ode to King Roc, and the sound that spawned Audiojack music… it’s out now. :)
The recording of our debut set from Hi Ibiza, where we joined Black Coffee, Damian Lazarus, Dj Tennis, Jimi Jules and more… :)
We recorded this mix down at Defected Broadcasting house in London recently, which includes our new release on DFTD and loads of new music fresh out of the studio… You can watch the mix live here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CKFn4g8WNdM
18 years ago, we were sitting in Hyde Park in Leeds, chatting about ideas for a new music project. We agreed to call ourselves Audiojack and made a pact that our music would always be groovy, upbeat, energetic, dancefloor focused. For many years we remained true to this idea, but at some point, we lost our way a bit. So often nowadays we see clubs with people hardly moving, while a headline DJ plays slow, moody, generic, monotonous beats. Maybe this is some people’s idea of fun, but it’s not ours. It’s time for us to get back to the basics of groovy dancefloor pleasures…We’ve been really focused on the studio this year, and we’re too excited to show you what we’ve made, so here’s a little mix, including eight new originals, coming soon on some great labels…
Played six dates in New Zealand and Australia earlier this year, and had the honour of being the first international guest at Froth in Wellington, who recorded the set… :)
Hooj Tunes! If you were around in the 90s and early 00s this record label will need no introduction; a pioneering imprint responsible for so many seminal dance records, they were hugely influential on us as young ravers and DJs. When we heard they were relaunching we were buzzing. We also knew we had the right record to send them…
Back in 1992, Paul Van Dyk and Cosmic Baby released a few records under the name The Visions of Shiva. One track was Perfect Day, which we played often. A couple of years ago we decided to cover it, just for our own DJ sets really, but after seeing the reactions we thought it might see a release one day, if the right label came along. This year marks 30 years since the original was released on MFS, so it seems fitting that everything fell in place for Hooj to release our 30 Year Tribute version today.
Solid DJ support on promo from DJs including Sasha, Job Jobse, Dam Swindle, Justin Robertson and Optimo, who said “30 years since Perfect Day came out?! Oh my! Was such a fave of mine back then. Ace and pleasingly faithful tribute."
It’s out now on a VA alongside new music from Jaydee and Nicole Moudaber, so check it out on Bandcamp, or wherever you buy your music >>> https://hoojchoons.bandcamp.com/album/trance-trax-vol-2
Crosstown Rebels and Get Lost present took over Beatport’s social media channels for a 24 hour special transmission on 1st May 2021, here’s our 90 minute set from the broadcast…
Crosstown Rebels took over Desert Hearts on Twitch on 12th September. Here’s the audio from our mix.
In these times of uncertainty music remains one of our most reliable and accessible pleasures. It’s importance to our wellbeing has never been more obvious. We’ve continued to make music remotely but we learn so much about a record from road testing, and without a chance to hear them on big systems with live human reactions it’s difficult to know when they’re finished. So we’ve put together a journey mix with lots of our newest productions, and we welcome your critiques... :)
Kater Blau is one of our favourite places, maybe the club we’ve played most in the last decade. We love playing longer sets – 2 hours never seems quite enough in any good club but even 4 hours in Kater seems to go in the blink of an eye. There’s a timelessness to it, a dancefloor unity, a liberation from mobile phones and the outside world. We feel a freedom to play whatever we like, which is the best feeling really as a DJ...
We played the awesome We Are Lost Festival in Toronto on 11th August 2019 and our was set recorded…
On Christmas Day eve we flew out to Zurich to play at Hive club’s 24hr party. We’ve played Hive quite a few times over the years and it’s one of our favourites. They’ve moved the DJ booth since last time and the sound is awesome; really clear, crisp and a pleasure to play on! Our set was also recorded. It’s quite different to the techno vibes from our last recording at Watergate in November; more house with lots of Audiojack, new and old. We had a lot of fun, thanks to Animal Trainer for inviting us…
Limited free download. Love from Audiojack x
Edit: free downloads have now finished, well done to everyone who got a copy.
We did the Hotmix for Pete Tong on his All Gone Pete Tong show on Friday 8th June. Here’s a radio rip…
First Flight on the A side, Warehouse on the flip, with a Pig&Dan remix.

Marsian is a new moniker for Marc Houle and Sian to collaborate, and we remixed their new track X-Rays. It’s out this week on Octopus Recordings… :)
Crosstown Rebels rolled into Warsaw on 18th November, and we were invited to warm up for label boss Damian Lazarus. Our set from the night was recorded; you can check it out here.
Smolna is an ace venue; reminiscent of clubs in Berlin. No photos are allowed, which we applaud. It’s easy to get lost inside it’s maze of small rooms and corridors which gives the club a raw underground bunker vibe. The kinda place where you stay until long after dawn and still wonder where the time went...
Our remix for Kerri Chandler finally gets a digital release!
This is our remix of Kerri Chandler’s interpretation of Steve Reich’s minimalist classic Six Pianos. The release also features a modern rework from Kerri and new remixes from Loco Dice and Stephane Ghenacia.
Sasha introducing Audiojack - Spirit with Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1 @ Miami WMC in March. Coming out 23rd June on Last Night on Earth.
We always enjoy going back to Frankfurt to play at Tanzhaus West; we were there just last week and our set was recorded.
The club has three main rooms joined by a labyrinth of corridors, all with their own unique charm; Tanzhaus West, Dora Brilliant and Landungsbrücken, plus a café and an outside area. We played in the Landungsbrücken this time from around 4am. Hope you enjoy. :)
Deltawerk is Applescal and Hessel Stuut aka Polynation. Been big fans of Applescal for a while now (his Leone Highway EP was one of our favourites from last year), and we’ve been really enjoying the releases on his Atomnation label. Highly recommend checking out this full EP as the original and Marvin & Guy remix are really nice too.
The EP has found promo support from DJs including Ame, Maceo Plex, Dusky, Richy Ahmed, Michael Mayer, Marco Carola, &ME, Catz 'n Dogz and Nick Warren.
We love Berlin. If the winters weren’t so cold we’d probably live there, so commuting from Ibiza to Berlin on an October weekend is about as good as life gets for us. Even better that we got to DJ at one of our favourite clubs, Kater Blau. Here’s our recorded set from the night…
DJ supporters include Jamie Jones, Damian Lazarus, Joris Voorn, Groove Armada, Nicole Moudaber, Kolsch, Catz n Dogz, Matt Tolfrey, Adriatique, Dusky, Tensnake, Anja Schneider and Lee Burridge…
Jamie Jones "I love this EP!! Great!" Joris Voorn “Solid release from the guys!!” Groove Armada “Digging Turya, they just get better and better!” Nicole Moudaber “I'm into both of these!! on NYE we played at a special club… BO18 in Beirut.
The roof is retractable, revealing the starry sky. Just after midnight it changed from a hot sweaty laser filled club to an open air party with fireworks above. Proper vibes. Here’s our set from the night…

Hi, my name is Robot and I am 10 years old. I was invented back when Myspace was the hot new social network by some kids who didn’t really know what they were doing. Techno-logy has evolved a lot since then, as have my creators so it was time they gave me a long overdue software update… ;-)
Out now, as part of the compilation to celebrate 10 years of Leftroom Records.
Denney was one of the first people we met in the music industry. Long before we’d had any releases we’d see him most weeks on the dance floor of Back to Basics in Leeds, and at the after parties which followed. We’ve been friends ever since, and it’s been ace to see him doing so well over the last few years, so when he told us he was mixing the Viva Warriors summer compilation and asked if we’d like to contribute a track it was an easy call!
Viva Warriors summer comp, mixed by Denney and Detlef is out now, featuring our new track – Elevate.
The first remix we’ve ever recorded live in one take, basically a jam session. As we develop our live show this is something we’ve been wanting to do for a while, with the aim of capturing the soul and energy of the moment rather than fine-tuning a clean and polished production over time.
Support from Sasha, Joris Voorn, Danny Tenaglia, Hot Since 82, Tensnake, James Zabiela, Citizenn, Daniel Bortz, Sidney Charles, Paco Osuna, Chaim, Gel Abril, Leon, Animal Trainer, Silicone Soul…
Dachshund is one of our favourite producers, so when he asked if we could remix one of his tracks for a release on his label Clapper we were keen to get involved…
Here’s a guest mix we did for John Digweed… some new stuff including a track from an EP we’ve got coming out on Culprit, and some of our all time favourites thrown in too. :-)
