Our October sermon series, MYSTERY, took a fresh look at the book of Job. Job is a difficult book to read and interpret, even for the most advanced Biblical scholars, but focusing on the book of Job can be an opportunity to embrace vivid imagery, human emotion, and the mysterious nature of a God who created the entire universe all together in worship.
Our 2018 Laity Sunday began with a power outage in the main sanctuary. But that didn't stop our church family from worshipping together. Hearin Hall was filled with our entire congregation in an impromptu Unity service.

Throughout the month of July, we encounter stories in the gospel readings that focus on the healing power of Jesus. In the gospel of Mark, large crowds of people were drawn to Jesus to find healing. What did de do? He healed them; he fed them; he cared for each one.
We have real hope we’re called to share. But how we share it makes a difference. Christians today face a dilemma: in a world that seems to reject everything we believe, how do we walk closely with God without caving to pressure or alienating those we hope to reach?
