I felt inclined to review a steak I cooked for the masses. I mean the review is for the masses. I did not cook a steak for the masses, although I would say it is a goal of mine to do that. BUT, I don't want to cook steaks for the masses until I really feel confident that I can cook any steak in just the way I intend to. I've cooked steaks in a lot of different ways, this time I used the air fryer. Whether with steaks, or in real life, we're living and learning.
Cranked this one out a little faster than I wanted to, but in my chase of consistency, I had to get it on the books. I’m really thinking a lot about how easy it is to share really controversial things these days. Anyways, here it is. Might have to revisit this one. Try to stay present, mindful, and aware.
I wish I would've posted this a while ago when it was still pretty fresh, but its all still pretty relevant, and there's some good stuff in here that applies to us being good people no matter what is going on. My younger brother is a member of the National Guard and went tp Washington DC to help mediate some of the rioting that was taking place there a couple of months ago. He shared with me some thoughts about his experience getting up close with one of the hot button hot spots in our nation at that time. Please keep in mind, this isn't us preaching any side of an issue, just talking about his experience, and how we can best find truth and empathy.
We're back with a new name and some drive. Its been a while because it has been a wild month. No excuses though. That is only more of a reason to podcast. The world is experiencing trying times, and we are the only ones truly and 100% responsible for ourselves, and the way that we view, treat, and love other people. Let's keep getting to work.
Kevin Hart got me thinking real hard about positivity vs negativity again. There’s so much negative, and why?? Why is it so easy to spread? The virality of negativity is so much stronger than that of the positive things. I’d love to try to break this down more, but this episode is just my preliminary, unorganized take on it.
I had a very runny nose because allergens in Utah have launched a very aggressive offense this season. Thanks for dealing with it. Remember: everybody wants to do what you do WHEN IT IS EASIEST FOR THEM. You can get ahead of them and stay ahead of them, so pay attention to your damn alarm clock. Monday is the best day of the week and let's build what we want to build.
I had to illustrate why I even talk about all this stuff, because committing to routines will help you smash goals. Also a some strong follow thoughts after some very insightful plan vs prepare conversations.
Third installment of the plan vs prepare series. This was such a great and insightful conversation. Ian is a salesman, marketer, leader, trainer, and a positive influence for good in the lives of many. Ian got very real with me and this conversation went a different way than either of us were planning on, but man, there was some good stuff in there. Enjoy!
A good friend joins me to talk about plan vs prepare. He’s a former Marine, Purple Heart recipient, corporate professional, world record holder, husband, and father. Evan shares his take on the day to day work we can do to stay hungry, and stay grateful.
FINALLY got a guest on the podcast to share some more valuable things with you than I have to offer. Chad is a long time best friend of mine. He’s a man full of great stories, and even better insights. We get his take on routines, momentum, opportunities, having a plan, and being prepared for whatever the next thing is.
Just wanted to rehash this for myself before I talk about it with some guests who will bring so much more insight to the table on what this really means. In the absence of a plan, get prepared.
We are in some different times. Things are stressful, strange, and difficult. It’s hard to have a PLAN in the face of so many unknowns, but I think we can PREPARE ourselves to face those unknowns. I’m hoping to get into this with some other people soon, because it is affecting others in different ways than it is affecting me.
I have a shiny new microphone for podcasting and that symbolizes a lot because it came from someone who really matters. Check your circle of people, have something you’re excited about, and DO THAT THING.
Coming at you strong from a hot tub in Marana, AZ. The first few minutes are a little spotty because I kept getting phone calls and that kills my recording and these are just the things that we deal with every day!
A nighttime morning Thoughts podcast. Because we live in a time where you can sign on and get work done whenever you want. This is all about results. The big ones, and the little ones along the way.
We’re having a good time out here and life is full of lessons and I maybe I have voices in my head and it’s time to really diagnose if that is healthy or unhealthy! LET’S GOOOOOOOOO!!!
Another look at thoughts on attitude from yesterday. Ultimately one’s attitude towards a situation will affect results more than most other factors. How will your attitude affect the outcome of the current quarantine situation?
What does it really mean to be “prepared” for a time like this? Who knows. But there are things we can bring into it that will affect how we come out of it.
A shoutout to Von Miller and the value to me of starting a very amateur YouTube channel. Happy Fri-Yay to you because you probably deserve it!
This episode only should’ve been 10 minutes long. Here we are, 40 minutes later. Really getting into it though, and I hope other people will also do that for themselves.
These thoughts are not organized, but hopefully they are organized enough to strike a chord or make some sense! Anyone can be a morning person because anyone can be whatever they really want to be. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
3.5 minutes in there’s a short break where I thought my mic wasn’t on. Everything was fine. Thanks for pushing through those 4 seconds with me. Love you guys. Let’s get after it today!
I drank my pre-workout before this episode because I forgot to drink it before my workout. So LFG and I’m pumped for a good week.
A quick hit to get Fri-yay going. I talk more about stuff I know nothing about, and then some about stuff I’m really trying to figure out. I wish everyone could watch this one, because I didn’t just talk with my hands today, I was really talking with my whole upper body.
Sharing some thoughts about making the most of a weird situation. Please keep in mind that while I am a moron, there might be some gems in here.
