Beyond the podcast, you can connect with him at www.samirgeepee.com PS: You will notice how nervous I was hosting my first podcast. My neural pathways were surely consumed by anxiety over the forthcoming conversation. I have to brush the thought aside :-) and focus on my purpose & the intent of creating this podcast - to make a difference and create a positive impact on as many lives as I can. Life is a game, Play it; Life is a challenge, Meet it; Life is an opportunity, Capture it. Signing off with love and gratitude. Follow me on Instagram #themindsetmaiden
About Me Until 2017 if anyone had to tell me that I would be speaking on stage, hosting events, performing on stage, hosting a podcast interview... I would have just laughed out loud and said "yeah right"! For as long as I can remember, public speaking was always at the top of my short “fear list”. I never did anything about it. I unnecessarily allowed my fear of public speaking intensify over the years which prevented me from achieving my potential. With some deep diving I realized my own fear of public speaking was career limiting. So in June 2017 I joined the Toastmasters Program. This was a complete game changer for me. True to the motto of my home club, T-G-I-S (Think-Grow-Inspire-and Succeed) Toastmasters Cllub, from the onset the club provided me with every leadership and speaking opportunities to become a better and a more confident speaker. The more I practiced, the more comfortable I became with speaking in front of an audience From “I am afraid of speaking in front of the club audience” to co-hosting a Division contest in front of hundreds of people in 2018. Not only speak but I also did a catwalk and danced to Uptown funk post break just to ensure the audience were entertained throughout… now that’s progress don’t you think? Who would have ever thought that this shy person who suffered anxiety pangs every time her name was called on stage would stand on the stage in 2019 delivering a speech in front of the World Champion of Public Speaking – Ramona Smith. I am so glad I took that step to face my fear head on. After all “Real Courage is not fearlessness, Real Courage is feeling the fear and doing it anyway”. Follow me on Instagram #themindsetmaiden
