Last week, our Warriors added another classic to the great rivalry that we have with Ben Davis. Unfortunately, we came out on the losing end 31-28. In this week's show, I go over the game in detail about the highs and lows that we had to endure in this game.
It's been far too long since I've been able to do a show. Life and work have gotten in the way but no more!!!! The 2023 season is right here but before I can get going on that, I have to finish off where I left off with the 2022 season, the Annual True Warrior Football Awards Show!!!!
In this episode, I hand out awards to our players that earned them for their hard work during our 2022 season.
You'll also see me have interviews with #WarriorLegend Julius Brents, the newly drafted Indianapolis Colt, as well other #WarriorLegends at the latest edition of the Vision Clear Camp hosted by Deionte Buckley.
Lastly you get to see a few of our players and our coaches discuss the teams pre-season scrimmage and the outlook that they have heading into this newest season!

Last week our Warriors fought valiantly against the 2x defending champions on the road but came up short and our season unfortunately came to an end. A tough way for our team and our seniors to go out and I discuss the game and my thoughts on things as they stand.
I also give another big update on our players "At The Next Level" once again and share some big accolades a few our players were able to earn with the season being over.

It's finally here!!!
Last week, our Warriors secured their 21st Sectional Championship in Program History. But this week is the game that we've all been waiting for. This week the team travels to face the Trojans of Center Grove for what is sure to be an epic Regional Championship!!!
I go into detail about some big plays and key moments in our game over Perry Meridian but the best part of this week's show is saved for the big game that everyone knew would take place at the beginning of the season.
We also have another great week of updates in our "Warriors At The Next Level" Segment including a new update on former Warrior that I haven't discussed this season.

We had a great victory over the Cardinals of Southport last week and our Warriors have moved on to the next round. I detail our the big moments of our win and how we need to carry that progress to the next game as we come home to face off against Perry Meridian.

PLAYOFFS. THE REAL SEASON BEGINS!!!!
Everything this team has had to endure during this regular season has led us to this point in our season. How will our team take those lessons and use them to our advantage? Is this team ready to right this ship and get past our failure from a year ago?
I discuss this as well as an overview of our end of the regular season defeat to Christian Brothers two weeks ago.

Our Warriors put together an incredibly strong performance last week against the Carmel Greyhounds and they came away victorious on Senior Night 20-13!!!
This was arguably our best overall team performance in some time and I recall the many big plays that went our way and how we were able to overcome others that went against us.
Great post game locker room interviews with many of our players and a great look at our next opponent in Christian Brothers College, one of the top teams in the state of Missouri. Also another week of updates on our guys playing football at the next level.

A game that started with much promise, went sideways fast for our Warriors and we dropped another home game. Our 3rd loss of the season at home and our 3rd straight defeat in the regular season to the Wildcats of Lawrence North.
Just when I thought our team was ready to take a step forward, we take two or three steps backwards. But is this team falling apart? Or are these building block moments for the team to use and get experience from to move forward with? These are the questions I wonder about in this week's show.
I also bring another week of updates of our guys that are playing football at the next level. So sit back and enjoy the next great episode of True Warrior Football!!!
This past week, our Warriors went on the road and did what they were supposed to do and won 49-14 against the Red Devils of Pike. This win stamped a two game losing streak for our program but I'm not satisfied with things just yet.
Do you know how long it's been since our program has defeated a team with a winning record? Do you realize our team has struggled with and lost our last two regular season games against the Wildcats of Lawrence North? The same program we face off against this week.
Yes we took care of business last week against Pike but that's what we were meant to do. Any team with high aspirations and goals like ours would do just the same and MORE!!! So what steps will this team take moving forward with two more games remaining at home?
I also give another great update on our games playing football at the next level.

What started off as a very strong start for our Warriors last week against Cross town Arch Rivals in Ben Davis, quickly turned sideways as our team dropped it's 2nd straight home game, 42-28.
Our team did some good things but those were not enough to bring the victory home and now we sit at 2-3 on the season.
How did we get here? What can be done to get us out of this place we are in now? Is this team truly a Contender? Or are we just pretenders hoping to be contenders? That's one of the big questions I ask in this week's show that unfortunately for us, I don't have the answer to. Only time will tell.
Also joining the show for the 1st time is the Board of the Warren Central Football Alumni Club. This group is in their first season and they are off to a great start in providing something great to our Alumni that will go to support our current team. Truly great work they are doing.

But before I can even get to discussing this great rivalry, I have to discuss the recent defeat we suffered last week at the hands of Lawrence Central. Our team played poorly and took a major step back from the progress we had made.
So instead of being my usual self for our games, I had to take it a different direction. I had to keep things honest. BRUTALLY HONEST. The time is now!
If we plan on going far this season and bringing a trophy back to the Far East Side, THE TIME IS NOW.

What a game last week was for our Warriors. A much tougher game than any of us expected but our guys fought their way out of it to come home victorious and end our 4 game Road Losing Streak.
I go over some details and key thoughts I have from last week's win over the North Central Panthers. Then I focus my attention on the team we have in front of us. The Bears of Lawrence Central. The team that ended our season last year. I feel like our team is ready to G.O., as Pastor Duncan said to them last week. They have before them a Gift & an Opportunity now to go forward and do great things. But can our team do so?
That's the main question at hand and I feel like many of our teams key players are ready to step up to that challenge.
And lastly to end this week's show, I give a brief overview of how some of our guys at the next level did in the first major week of College Football. So sit back and enjoy another great episode of True Warrior Football!!!
They said we didn't stand a chance. They said we would lose by 20. They said a lot of things but in the end, we showed everyone that we are WARRIORS!!! Our boys went out there and come away with a dominant 44-26 victory over the Crusaders of King (Detroit).
But what all happened in that game? How was our team able to overcome the obstacles that were in front of them? Who stepped up in this game to help us win?
All of these questions and more will be answered in this episode, as I go over our huge victory and how I think this will help our team moving forward.
After that I give an update on our guys that are playing ball at the next level as the start of college football season is upon us.

The legendary Mr. Football winning QB joins the show for the 1st time and we talk about his time wearing the Black & Gold and so much more that has gone on with him since he left the program. With this week's show, I go over our Season Opening game against Center Grove. It was a hard-fought battle by our Warriors that unfortunately resulted in our 4th straight loss and 5 straight defeat at the hands of the Trojans. I discuss the things I saw that I was impressed with, along wit the things that I feel we must improve on to make this a season to be remembered.
Then I break down our next oppenent in Martin Luther King, a powerhouse school from the Metro Detroit area, that has a ton of top tier talent including one of the best Quarterbacks in the nation.
Many aren't expecting much from our young group of Warriors but I feel like our team is right there. I see our team is ready to take a turn. They say a team improves the most from Week 1 to Week 2. That's why I have titled this week's show "A Warrior Turning Point"

The 2022 Season is finally here and I for one and truly excited for what this season holds for us!!!
I kick the show off with two young players that were the bright stars in our scrimmage against Avon last Friday night and a talk with the Senior leader of our Defense in Linebacker, Lee Alexander. These young men and bright and ready to take our team to new heights this year.
And finally after much delay, I was able to get the leader of our Warriors, Head Coach Mike Kirschner, on to the show. He and I discuss our big moment following last years epic Ben Davis victory as well as many other aspects behind last season. Then we take a deep dive on what has made him a coach that's different than others and how he works to get the best from all of his players.
Then finally I put him on the spot to talk about some of the great players he coached and coached against while over on the West side. This was truly an amazing 1 on 1 sit down interview with the leader of our program and you will not want to miss this one.

It's taken me far too long to announce all of the end of year Awards that I normally give out by better late than never and that's what we will have here today!
I'll be handing out awards for Offensive, Defensive & Special Teams as well as a few other special awards that I have annually passed out.
But the end of the show, I share some great stories and pay tribute to the late great Rex Roeder, a man that was as successful of a coach in our program as anyone else.

Every year, I always look forward to this week and this game. I always try to give the best show possible and so far, I do just that. But this year, I feel like I've out done myself as I bring back on former Coach and Athletic Director Marques Clayton.
Coach Clayton and I discuss his journey from being a Freshman Football Coach to running the entire Athletic Program for over a decade. Our love of football and most importantly, WARRIOR FOOTBALL is very deep and evident in this episode. So deep, I had to break this one up into two parts.

He and I discuss his life from playing as a sophomore on the football field under Coach Larry Willen to walking on at Franklin College to his journeys in the military and what he's doing now to help other great veterans like himself. Truly one of my best conversations I've had on this show over the years.

IT'S BEN DAVIS WEEK!!!!!!!!!!
Our boys finally got back to our winning ways against LC this past Friday night. I speak with a few stars of the game afterwards early in the show.
But joining me this week is the General Manage of WBDG, Mr Jon Easter. As the director of the Ben Davis radio station for over 20 years, as well as a graduate of the school in the early 90s, he's seen a great deal of classic games between our two schools.

And in that game, they would come back victorious ending a long playoff losing streak at our rivals home field! Then I discuss our upcoming opponent from Kentucky and how I feel about the recent revealing of our 1st Opponent in the Playoffs in a few weeks.

In this week’s episode, I briefly discuss our victory against Lawrence North from last week (01:00), and how well our three leaders on offense performed in that game. I then discuss how this week’s game against Carmel (06:13), is the battle for the MIC Title and I go over the history of the conference and how the top 4 teams in the conference have performed since the conference started in the mid-90s. I then bring on two players on the current team (21:48) and we talk about how big of a game this is and I even challenge one of them to do something that the team has yet to accomplish so far this season. I also bring on a #WarriorLegend to talk about his history of great games against Carmel (30:04) and what it was like for him playing in those big games. And lastly, I give an update on the players that we have playing at the collegiate level (57:00) and how their seasons have gone so far.

This week's episode, I focus on the great position that our football is in currently (01:20) and the direction they are headed towards. I also address how dangerous it is to start comparing this team (05:25) to previous great teams before its time to do so. I then discuss the level of improvement our Defense has gone through going back to last season (08:25)I talk about how some of our key players on Offense (10:06) are all top candidates for being Mr. Football at the end of the season. I also bring up how this team stacks up offensively (12:30) through the 1st 6 games of the season with previous great teams going back to 2002 and the lessons that can be learned from them.
Finally I had the great honor of bringing on a #WarriorLegend that was a big part of the 2011 team for this week's show (19:00). We discuss his career here at Warren and the ups and downs he went through as well during his college career.

What a great time to be a Warrior fan right now!!! (1:00) I give a recap from our huge game against our Arch Rivals, Ben Davis. The dominating effort from the very start from our team caused this game to be over much sooner then we all had hoped it would be. (5:00) I discuss an article from the Jay Graves Report about parents from Ben Davis being upset with how their program is currently and the effort they witnessed on Friday. (11:10) I have an announcement going forward to help #WarriorLegends that plan on coming back home to future games and want to be on the field. (13:35) I speak with several #WarriorLegends that came back home to see the next chapter in this great rivalry! (33:15) The main course of this episode. What was voted on by my listeners, I dive into the deep history behind the beloved "Blood Belts" with the one that created them. Yes, that's correct I have Former Head Coach Stephen Tutsie on this week's show. We go on a long journey talking about the Defense that he helped build at this program and what the Blood Belts would come to mean to so many.

I discuss the history between our two schools and why this is truly the best rivalry in Indiana High School Football (17:54). Then I bring on one of the Defensive Leaders on this team (45:30) to talk about how we've improved over the 1st 4 games so far this season and how he's taken up the leadership role in a for a big cause. Lastly, I bring on one of the truly great players to ever grace these hallways. A True Warrior Legend (54:30) and we discuss his playing history against the Giants and what he's currently doing right now in his career.
Finally I talk about the Warriors that are doing great things on the collegiate level (1:10) and go over the many players that have done great things for their respective programs so far!!

The main focus of the show is spent talking with a Warrior Legend(13:50) and how the program has shaped him and others that have come through the program over the years. We also discuss a few big games from the past and talk about what the Warrior Football Program has been for both of us.
In this week’s episodes, I talk about our major comeback victory against (Louisville)Trinity on ESPNU (1:30). I break down a lot of different aspects to this game and how we were able to make it happen. Then I welcome on one of the offensive stars for this game (35:30) and we discuss his performance on the game on Friday Night as well as breakdown a few key plays late in the game. We also discuss his future plans for college and the next game. I also bring on one of the leaders on the Defensive side of the ball (46:55) and we discuss what he was thinking about during this major game and how he was able to stay positive and help lead his side to victory.
Lastly, I talk about how ESPN comes up with their player rankings (54:00) and I also finish with some corrections of errors from last week’s episode.
