No matter how many tests we face, the Lord Jesus, who has redeemed us from eternal death, will sustain us to the very end if we continue to live by faith in his promises.

This portion of the Bible describes the Passover, a significant event in Israel's history that not only delivered Israel out of Egypt but foreshadows a greater deliverance that Jesus, the Lamb of God, brought about through his sacrifice on the cross.

This unit of Scripture deals with how God prepared Israel for deliverance from Egypt by giving them repeated assurances of his promises even though they were discouraged, as Pharoah made life more challenging. Believers today can also be strengthened by this portion of Scripture to continue trusting in God's promises of deliverance, especially when we get discouraged because we face one challenge after another.
A reflection of 10 blessings we receive due to Jesus being raised from the dead should move believers to love Jesus more and serve him wholeheartedly. It should also move those far from him to come to him in true repentance and faith and personally experience these resurrection blessings by finding true life in him.
Jesus satisfied God's wrath for our sins by shedding his blood on the cross, and as a result, all who put their faith in him can find forgiveness for all their sins. This great act of our Lord has at least three implications for his followers and one implication for those still far away from him.

A survey of Abraham's life, both his highs and lows, teaches us that even though he would be the key to God's solution to the problem of sin, he is far from being a perfect man. And that should also be encouraging for us because God is not looking for perfect men and women to accomplish his purposes. He is looking for people with their weaknesses who are still willing to exercise faith in him and strive to please him by obeying him with the strength he gives them.
This Christmas we want you to rest in how high and wide and deep and long is the love of God.
In these chapters, we read about how God judged the entire world for its sin through what’s often described as the “universal flood” and yet kept one family, the family of Noah, alive along with a limited number of animals and birds in order to survive the flood and renew the post-flood world.

While other parts of the Bible refer to creation, only the first two chapters of Genesis tell us how everything came to be.No other religious book gives these details except the Bible. Why? Because nobody else can give these details except the One who was there - God Himself. And that’s exactly what God, in his mercy, has done for us through his servant, Moses!
The Lord Jesus wants us to clearly understand that unless he is the # 1 priority of our lives, we are not really his disciples - no matter what we claim.
To successfully deal with sinful anger, we must first look at the destructive consequences it produces.
"Unforgiving Christian" are two terms that don't go together. Yet, as followers of Jesus, we often struggle to forgive others. By looking at the negative consequences of an unforgiving heart, may our hearts be moved to cry out to the Lord for strength to be like him in this area of forgiveness.

Amid great darkness surrounding the Lord Jesus's death, we see 3 bright and glorious events that bring great comfort and a severe warning.
Of the 7 last sayings of the Lord Jesus from the cross, his heart-piercing and soul-wrenching cry, “My God, My God, Why Have You Forsaken Me?” reminds us of him being forsaken and eventually giving up his life for our sins. A closer reflection of his death calls for 2 responses:(1) An attitude of unending gratitude for those who are his and(2) An attitude of fear and terror of the coming wrath of God for those who are still far away from him.
The suffering our Lord endured on the cross calls for 3 responses:(1) Love the cross(2) Live the cross and(3) Proclaim the cross
Jesus stood firm because his good confession before Pontius Pilate that he was the Messiah led to his crucifixion. His example should motivate us to give our all to him even if it costs our life.
In a world where power seems to corrupt so often and so many, what does just and righteous leadership look like?
A sovereign God uses even the evil acts of people to accomplish his saving work. This truth should comfort us in 3 ways when we face rejection and suffering at the hands of people: It protects us from falling into discouragement and despair It protects us from retaliating against those who hurt us Most importantly, it protects us from developing a wrong view of God's character
When all hope seems to be lost, we can press on with renewed hope by turning our hearts to focus on God’s perfections (attributes).
In times of prolonged trials, instead of getting disappointed or even angry with God or falling into depression, we can patiently wait on him to bring deliverance by remembering this truth:God never ever forgets his children - He remembers them even if they "feel" abandoned by him!

Having seen the words "I have sinned" spoken by those who did not truly repent of their sins and the first 5 of 10 characteristics of false repentance in the first part of this series, we will see in this second part the remaining 5 characteristics of false repentance.
The Bible reveals that the words “I have sinned” can be spoken by those who have not truly repented of their sins [e.g., Judas] and, as a result, do not have true saving faith but are also spoken who have, by the grace of God, genuinely repented of their sins and as a result possess true saving faith. So, how can you and I know our repentance is genuine?Knowing where we spiritually stand is the most crucial issue that requires prayerful and careful reflection. This mini-series attempts to contrast the characteristics of true vs. false repentance. Even though Peter denied Jesus as he predicted, his failure was not the final chapter of his life. He gets restored back to the faith because of Jesus’s unrelenting and never-ending love for his own. Through Jesus’s death on the cross, God has provided a way for us to be reconciled back with him. And this has practical implications in our daily lives.
As Jesus was put under oath, he not only declared that is the Messiah, the Son of God, but also went to state about his equality with the Father and his second coming, not just as a King, but also as the Judge of all the earth. And this reality of his return to earth as Judge has 3 present implications for us.
The description of the mocker in Proverbs is a cautionary tale not to stray from wisdom.
Jesus, the Judge of all mankind, submitted himself to be judged unjustly by wicked men. Yet, when we see how majestically he carried himself during his unjust trials, especially his silence, for the most part, speaks quite loudly of his character. And that should also compel us to imitate him when we go through unjust suffering.
Confidence, Compassion, and Calmness are the three attitudes that mark the Lord Jesus’s response to his unjust arrest as he set his heart to obey the Father’s will. And all faithful followers of Jesus should have the same attitudes when they suffer unjustly.
Encouragement to persevere on the path of wisdom when our plans, relationships, fears and responsibilities threaten to undermine our faith.
As we see the Lord’s struggle in the Garden of Gethsemane and how he eventually overcame that battle, we see two timeless truths that will significantly encourage us as we pursue obedience to God’s will in our individual lives.The first truth I want us to see is that There will come times in our lives when doing the will of God will be extremely hard.The second truth I want us to see is that When such trying times come if we sincerely cry out to the Lord in humble submission, he will help us obey his will.

When believers remember their hopeless condition before coming to Christ and how his shed blood brings about great blessings, they will not only increase in their love for Jesus, but also grow deeper in their gratitude for saving them.
Paying taxes is not a pleasant subject for people in general, including many Christians. But, we need to ask, “What does the Lord say about this subject?” This sermon deals with that question as well as the broader question, “What does the Bible say about the believer’s responsibility to the government in general?”
This parable calls for 3 responses:
We must: Come to Jesus with an attitude of total submission or face eternal judgment. We must: Go and invite others to come to Jesus without fearing the negative consequences. We must: Change for Jesus and that way show we truly belong in the kingdom.
Jesus warns the religious leaders of his day and those who follow in their footsteps about the certainty of the coming judgment. But he also teaches how to escape that judgment.

In order for God’s work to be done in God’s way, we must continually submit to and lean on the Holy Spirit as directed by the Scriptures.

This chapter in its original setting was about Moses calling the people to look back at God's mercies to the nation for 40 years, learn from the lessons he taught them, and apply them when they entered into the promised land. While we are not necessarily entering into a new physical landscape, we can draw 3 extended principles to keep in mind as we enter into a new year.
Be Thankful Be Humble Be Watchful
Be Thankful as you look back at God's mercies in 2021 and even prior to that year. And as you recall the blessings, go all the way back to the cross for the greatest reason for being thankful - no matter what you face in 2022. Be Humble knowing every blessing comes from the hand of God and not from our own wisdom or strength. Be Watchful for idols that would come between you and your wholehearted devotion to Lord.
God’s promise to be with Jacob in Genesis 28 helps us to understand the message of Immanuel, God with us.
This passage helps us to identify dark techniques of persuasion, to free us from their destructive path.
Through a parable, the Lord Jesus wants us to come to grips with God’s grace, a grace that should strip us of all sense of entitlement, a grace that is to be joyfully and thankfully received. Failure to do so will not only lead us to question God’s ways in our lives but also be jealous of others when he blesses them.
