M.A.N.D.Y.
Berlin-based label-owner, DJ and producer and event organizer became visible on a global scale after the release of the 2005 hit single "Body Language" and the remake of Laurie Andersons "O Superman" Bodmer and his former band partner Philipp Jung, along with DJ T. and Booka Shade are the founders of Get Physical, which became one of the most popular dance labels in the world. M.A.N.D.Y. subsequently provided mixes for other labels, including „At the Controls“, „Fabric“ and „Renaissance“. Following collaborations with Bob Moses, and Dubspeeka, as well as remixes for Roxy Music, Röyskopp, The Knife and Underworld to name just a few. The long-awaited debut artist album Double Fantasy was released, incl. collaborations with the iconic Jungle Brothers and the classical and experimental pianist Francesco Tristano . 2018 signaled the beginning of a new era for M.A.N.D.Y, since Patrick Bodmer will continue to fly the flag under M.A.N.D.Y. without his former partner and childhood friend Philipp Jung, who started his solo project „Forever Jung“.

I love MIA Beach, the venue, the crowd, the crew and the night vibes in Tulum, under the stars, surrounded by palm trees and the Caribbean beach makes a great setting for wild and long dance rituals. Here´s a recording of our b2b set with Esther Silex at the magical Sisyphos Beach. It was a short open air season for Berlin clubs. We squeezed it out at one of the last summer nights. The same day finally Berlin clubs were allowed to re-open their floors inside, after 18 months. It was a night to remember. Thanx for the wild love we got from everyone at Sisyphos.
We recorded the set of MAGA at our night "The House Of M.A.N.D.Y." at KaterBlau - the party was out of control, the recording failed and here we go with an after party recording from the bright shining gentle soul-man from Southern France - coloring the sky at these weird times in a cozy deep pink.

Hi everyone, Hoping you keep on smiling during these difficult times. Here is a set that I have made for my great friends M.A.N.D.Y a couple of weeks ago in my Amsterdam studio. Ever since I met M.A.N.D.Y in Morocco at a festival that we both played last year, we straight away had a strong connection and friendship. Today, I tribute my friendship to the boys with this 1 hour ride and most of all, this gift is for you. Hoping we can be all be dancing together again soon.

This is a live recording from Behrouz set at "The House Of Mandy", which took place at Kater Blau. He played right after a phenomenal set from Raz Ohara and he kept the "Playa-Vibes" elegant and with a meaning for the next two hours. Chill out and enjoy his idea of "Deep Desert House" in the heart of Berlin. We were celebrating his birthday in the same night and you can feel the positive festive vibes all over his set. Enjoy!
BEHROUZ, our good friend and longterm fella is well known in the scene, easily recognized both on the Playa where he has held a highly coveted residency on the Robot Heart bus, as owner / curator of Do Not Sit events, including his own club in Miami Beach. He is well known all over the world having been a household name for those who truly know what's up for well over two decades now. An artist who has seen nearly every inch of the globe as he has shared his music with millions from continent to continent, his name and reputation proceeds him. A DJ's DJ in every sense of the word, Behrouz is a favorite amongst many of the most talented artists and producers on the planet. He is a true story teller and a magician behind the decks evoking powerful emotions through his sound.

The M.A.N.D.Y. rework takes the track form its original downtempo swing and gives it a healthy dose of energy, turning the track into a dancefloor heater with a satisfyingly deep crunch. The lovely ladies of Blond:ish take the track in a similar direction, building on the vocal elements and thick ambience to create a warm and dreamy version that will still move the bodies on the floor. Re.You then gives the track another hit of tech house love with rhythmic synths holding the tempo on top and releasing plenty of energy to shake the even the coldest of floors till the sun rises.

Get Physical head-honcho’s M.A.N.D.Y continue to rework tracks from their recent long player, this time it’s ‘Rhythm & Soul’ with Tiger Stripes and Roland Leesker on the remixes.
Following the release of M.A.N.D.Y.’s critically acclaimed ‘Double Fantasy’ LP in November 2016 the duo have since gone back to rework some of their favourite cuts alongside a run of remix artists such as Prins Thomas, Gerd Janson and Dubspeeka.
Here we see Get Physical continue this format with some fresh takes on ‘Rhythm & Soul’, up first is the co-founders themselves offering up their ‘Rework’, an energetic yet hypnotic interpretation fuelled by spiralling dub echoes, airy atmospherics, swinging rhythms and the heady spoken word vocals of the original composition.
Tiger Stripes steps up on remix duties next, delivering a more robust and straight groove-led take on things via bleeping arps, pulsating sub bass and bass chops layered over a raw 4/4 groove. Roland Leesker then rounds out the package with his dropped tempo ‘Rhythm My Soul Remix’, instilling an air of psychedelia to things via heady acid-tinged synth hooks, reverberating atmospherics, bass drones and an ever unfolding, dynamic feel. The M.A.N.D.Y. ‘Rhythm & Soul’ reworked package is out on Get Physical 15th September 2017.

Originally released last year on the duo’s debut album, ‘Rabbit Mountain’ was a light, dreamy tech-house number. First we have the Rework, throwing more emphasis on the groove while stripping the track down to the essentials and rebuilding it from there into a late night affair. Gerd Janson throws down some acid in his remix, pushing the tempo and energy with a dirty dance track that breathes the techno spirit. The final mix is the 8am Version, starting out with an ultra-catchy bassline before diving into the meat of the track – a warm, melodic blend of elements that inspire that 8am feeling.

We have a new episode of our M.A.N.D.Y. Radio show for you! This time we welcome african house artist Jazzuelle, who is about to release his first album on Get Physical very soon. The super talented artist was a highlight on the recent ‘Africa Gets Physical’ compilation and has built a solid reputation with releases on Atjazz and Lazy Days amongst others. Towers is one of the first beautiful signs out of this album coming up in June: for all DJs who love it deep. Adaptions is a collaboration with the one and only Fred Everything and Blood Moon features one of Africas best Da Capo.
