Ernest Jones is allowed to seek a trade, apparently. this after contract discussions fall flat. This creates confusion for both the player and the team. We discuss this and what the Rams will do.
The injury report is looking solid heading into week 1.
In an attempt to further disappoint my dad I discuss my next tattoo plan. Apparently I was not the star of the show during my recent Tennessee visit. June starts school and I discuss my plan to have a study group.
We record on the eve of the final, initial 53 man roster and go through a list of potential cuts and look at what they Rams could do with the roster.

Well Rams family, the NFL is now over. Coming into a must win game week 17 against a division opponent the Arizona Cardinals with the playoffs on the line. A starting QB that had never thrown a pass in the NFL. Two starters on the COVID list. It looked like the playoffs were fading. Even more so after John Wolford’s first NFL pass, which was intercepted.
With everything on the line and the deck stacked against them, the Rams pull out the win. End the season 10-6 and go into the playoffs as the 6th seed!
We break down some of the key stats for the year. Recap the big win against Arizona.
Stay tuned because this week we are going to do two episodes. The next episode will be a preview of their first round game against the Seattle Seahawks.

This episode is PACKED! In recent episodes we have lamented that there has not been a lot of Rams news, well that changed this week. Darrell Henderson gets hurt and is moving to the IR. Ron Havenstein also got banged up but looks to be OK. The Rams are making a push to sign old friend Blake Bortles from the Broncos practice squad.
Oh yeah, Jared Goff broke his thumb against Seattle. A successful surgery and a few screws later, he will miss the must win game against the Arizona Cardinals.
We end up going down a little bit of a bunny trail with Dwyane Haskins just being cut by Washington. He is a better short and long term fix? Dad brings up some very interesting points as to why he is a better fit than going back to the well on Blake Bortles.
We researched and found out why the Rams would be out if they lose and the Bears win. Let’s just say the head to head match up between the two is manliness.
Unfortunately we break down the Week 16 game against the Seahawks. A must win game for both team, the division on the line and fir the first time all season long, the Rams lost two games in a row. We attempt to break down what went wrong in this game and then start to ask the question, when is the offensive mastermind Sean McVay going to take heat for this?
We then talk about the upcoming critical game against Arizona. John Wolford makes his very first start in the NFL. Also, presumably he will also throw his first pass in a regular season NFL game. How do we think the Rams will fair in this one? What are our keys to the game? Don’t tell anyone, but it’s about defense and our offensive line controlling tempo…
With all that being said, the Rams still control their own destiny and are one win away from the playoffs. Time to get positive!

Welcome back to another of Turn Your Head & Goff! This week we cover a lot of ground.
First, we mourn the passing of Rams legend Kevin Greene. Very sad indeed, thoughts go out to his family.
Pro Bowl selections are out and only two Rams made the cut; Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsay. At first I really didn’t think too much of it, until my dad brought up who else made the Pro Bowl…
The Rams have been highlighting Rams “super fans,” and that got me wondering why my dad has not been considered for this digital honor.
We ponder what exactly we are missing and why the Rams have not already clinched a playoff spot, with the one team in contention for the Wild Card the Rams have already beaten, the Chicago Bears. Do we want to Rams to actually win the division or would we rather them have the 5 seed and play the winner of the NFC East?
Moving on to the disaster against the previously winless Jets. It wasn’t good with plenty to talk about. Bad play calling, costly on field mistakes and a team that just didn’t look ready to play. What you have is a 23-20 loss and the Jets with their first win. Not to mention a Head Coach calling the opposing Head Coach during the week of the game to give him and his team props, in a word stupid.
We once again go down the dark rabbit hole of our QB situation, all I did was ask is would we rather have Sam Darnold play instead of Goff.
We then preview the game against Seattle. It’s a must win, the Rams hold their own cards, cash it in! Can the Rams beat Seattle twice in the same season? Well the record they have over the past five games does tell a positive story.

Rams fans, can you smell it? The NFL Playoff aroma is getting stronger and stronger every week!
For yet another week the Rams remain top of the NFC West and it's time to start talking about playoffs and match ups.
As your go to destination for all things LA Rams, the team is back once again to recap the beautiful win against the New England Patriots. That's right, for the first time since 2001 the Rams have beat Bill Belichick. For those of you that can't do math, that's 19 years. Not only did they beat Belichick they did so in Belichick fashion, totally taking away everything they wanted to do and catching them off guard by running the ball!
We also go over the stand out players for the week, and there were a lot of them. Who will win the coveted Jared Goff Golden Spike Award for week 14? Well you are just going to have to listen and find out.
Moving on from New England, the Rams have the 0-13 New York Jets next. With 10 wins just a few days away, will the Rams rise up and win or play down to the competition? While on paper this should be easy, the Rams have not won three games in a row yet in 2020...

Well we wish we had better news, but we don’t after looking great the first two weeks out of the bye the Rams fall to the 49ers again for the fourth time in a row. The Rams have four turn overs, and Jared Goff accounted for 3 of them. Shockingly for the first time ever McVay calls Goff out. And this gets us thinking, if the Rams had a back up QB would we be talking about that guy starting?
In short, another wasted defensive effort and coach Salah has the Rams number!
Moving on to the next game against Arizona (who gifted the Rams a loss to the Patriots) that now becomes even more magnified. With only five games left in the season every game becomes a must win. Especially division games.
We think they will win and we tell you why. We also call out coach McVay on his play calling. He also has to get better…

Well, the win was marred with a major injury to Andrew Whitworth and another to Taylor Rapp. How will the Rams respond? The place kick saga continues as Kai Forbath is also injured and another new kick was signed to the team. Old Rob brings up a point that kicking in the NFL this year has been horrible across the board.
In terms of the Seattle game, the Rams defense comes up huge again, are they for real? Big shows by Leonard Floyd, Terrell Lewis and Darrius Williams. While the offense continues to sputter. How long will that last? Who will win the coveted Jared Goff Golden Spike Award for the week?
Then, a passionate preview of the upcoming Monday night game against the Tampa Bay Bucs. Both are concerned, both think the Rams will win, however one is a lot more critical of the team.

The Rams are hot off a hard fought game against the Bears in Monday Night Football and are now 5-2 on the season.
On this week's episode they cover the news including a big injury. A break down of the division which at this point is the exact opposite of the NFC East. They also get into the game against the Bears.
When you win 24-10 usually things go right. As the case for the Rams who remembered that they are a running team. They also give out the all important Jared Goff Golden Spike Award for player excellence.

Well just when you think the Rams were going to be a great team they utter thrashed by the 49ers. Make no mistake the score was not reflective of the game itself.
This episode was a total vent session as the Rams looked awful against SF. No real bright spots to speak of.

week 3 of the NFL season is in the books and the Turn Your Head & Goff team are ready to talk about the Rams first loss of the season. But before that they recap Rams news and give an update on the NFC West.
As for the Buffalo game, well it was a major let down. After the Rams fight back from 25 points down to take the lead late in the 4th quarter, they find a way to lose. On a positive note, they came back from 25 points down and never gave up.

After a long wait the 2020 NFL season is finally upon us! Braving the Air Quality Index in Portland which reached 511 during recording, the father and son team talk about the final 53 man roster. What are some of the holes in it?
There was also a fair bit of news with both Jalen Ramsay and Copper Kupp getting contract extensions. How exactly did the Rams do this when they have no cap money and somehow help their 2020 cap number?
Topic of the week is a preview of the Rams Cowboys game. Roster break downs, a look at last years stats. Both were surprised to see that in 2019 The Cowboys had a top 10 defense and a top five offense, yet only managed to have an 8-8 record.
