“Judas” is not a popular name used in America. Not many parents are choosing to name their child “Judas” over names like “John”, “Mark”, “Carson”, or “Tyler”. The reason goes all the way back to the Bible story of Judas betraying Jesus.

There are a lot of mindsets and ideologies within our American culture today. One popular one is, “Do whatever makes you feel happy.” It seems that whenever someone says, ‘this makes me happy’, that is reason alone for their choice. But what does Jesus say? There are a lot of the sayings of Jesus that get thrown around in our culture today. Many times, there are things we think Jesus said, but he never actually said them. It’s also powerful to look at some of the situations Jesus was in, and realize he had an opportunity to say certain things, but he didn’t.

One of His closest friends, selling the Son of God into a painful, shameful death.
