Brave Enough is here to remind you, you’re not alone and that you have the strength to be Brave Enough for one more day.

Just enough bravery for one minute, one hour, one day, one obstacle at a time.

About Us:
Larissa Johnson: I’m the proud mamma of the one and only perfect Marley. My world is her; I love being her mommy, and we are always out exploring. I have faced struggles in my life that I have not let define me, but they have made me the strong independent woman I am today. I enjoy college football, specifically my Ohio State Buckeyes! If it has to do with Star Wars, Pirates, Marvel or Disney, it is a safe bet with me. Horses and barrel racing hold a special place in my heart. [LEARN MORE]
Jan Sherman: Being a mom to my son Brandon and two step-children is the best job in the world! I also have three grandchildren that I am incredibly proud of. My husband, Tim, and I have two Yorkies who are a part of our family and travel everywhere with us. My heart is full! I love football, NASCAR, and soccer, and enjoy hiking, kayaking, biking, and snowshoeing. That fresh air keeps me young – LOL! [LEARN MORE]

About Brave Enough:
Brave Enough is here to remind you, you’re not alone and that you have the strength to be Brave Enough for one more day.
We want to join you in everyday life to bring you laughter, joy and friendship. To talk about, well, whatever is on our minds (and yours). We want to tackle the things that women face everyday … the good, the bad and the ugly ...
When you add one simple word to Brave, it changes the very meaning … by definition Brave Enough means ... to endure or face unpleasant conditions or behavior without showing fear as required for that situation.
Just enough bravery for one minute, one hour, one day, one obstacle at a time.

LEARN MORE

Why is it okay that our children wonder with curiosity but as we become adults, we move far from asking questions? Children have the need to learn and be heard, and they gain new perspectives. So why shouldn’t we do the same?

In this episode we dissect the meaning of beauty, and what that looks like for women. Body images are everywhere, and there is tremendous pressure to look and feel beautiful. We believe that we have inner beauty, but somehow desire to constantly work on our physical beauty. We want to look our best, but how far do we go, and when is it enough?
What if we changed the word BEAUTIFUL to WONDERFUL? We all want to hear how beautiful we are, which is not a bad thing, but what if we also heard how wonderful we are?
When God made us, He said we were His unique creation, filled with wonder and awe. We are wonderful to Him. Be the woman that God created, and believe that you are beautiful and wonderful.

Did you have a childhood dream of who you were going to be when you grew up? Jan’s dream was to be a mommy. She planned for it as a child, and couldn’t wait for the day she actually had a baby.
Jan and Brandon were close. He was her mama’s boy - in the good sense. They did everything together, but the most important thing they did was communicate. They consistently shared their day with each other, and loved spending time doing things they both enjoyed. Life was great!
Then it happened. Memorial Day, 2003 was the day a detective knocked at the door to say that Brandon was in an accident and passed away. This rocked Jan’s world. How could she live one day without her son? What would her new normal life look like?
Losing a family member can be tough. Jan talks about losing her son and how she discovered her new normal. She explains how she was brave enough to get out of bed each morning and face her day.
Jan is a strong and courageous woman, and through it all - many years later - she knows she is never alone. No one is. This is why Jan shares her story of loss. She is here to encourage you letting you know that you, also, can be strong and courageous!
Jan wrote a book about the loss in her life that will change your outlook on loss. Look for her book called Organized Mess on be-in-couraged.com website or amazon.com.

We are discussing what happens when you experience an unsafe situation in a place that you thought was safe. Recently, a video went viral of a family breaking out in an awful fight while at Disneyland and small children were under feet. I had just been there hours earlier and I found myself asking “what would I have done” and “I thought this was a safe place.''
We want to lead by example for our children but what example is more important in this situation … helping those in need or getting out of there to protect our children?
What happens when you take your kids to what you think is a safe place, only to experience something you’d rather not have your kids see?

I’m the proud mamma of the one and only perfect Marley. LEARN MORE

Brave Enough is here to remind you, you’re not alone and that you have the strength to be Brave Enough for one more day.
Why Brave Enough?
The definition of brave is to “endure or face (unpleasant conditions or behavior) without showing fear.”
We don’t know about you but we rarely face difficult situations (or everyday life for that matter) without some sort of fear. That very definition, bravery, did not seem to be a word that could be used to describe us. However, if you add the word ENOUGH, it changes the definition and now becomes something that can give us strength in everything we do. A mantra if you will...
When you add one simple word to Brave, it changes the very meaning ...so by definition Brave Enough means ... to endure or face unpleasant conditions or behavior without showing fear as required for that situation.
Just enough bravery for one minute, one hour, one day, one obstacle at a time.
