Dr. Allen S. Miller shares how he turned a horse accident, into an opportunity to develop a new CBD based treatment for chronic pain.
I developed and currently administrate a CBD based treatment program for chronic pain, non-combat-related PTSD and Opioid dependence specifically engineered for injured workers. I have fulfilled the expectations as the Director of Product Development for (BioNHS) BioNutraceutical Health Solutions. They are the manufacturer, and supplier of proprietary Cannabinoid (CBD)products to workers' compensation Insurance companies nationally treating Chronic Pain and Opioid Dependence.
Based on my clinical experience I was able to successfully get this formula approved by insurance companies nationwide. We enjoyed a 78% success rate in titrating patients off Opioids and other medications without recidivism or withdrawal symptoms.
I currently enjoyed and recognized as a court-approved soft tissue injury and Cannabis Intoxication expert in 14 states.
As a Chiropractor, I specialized in Sports & Industrial Medicine and spent 10 years in the Track & Field Circuit in the US, Africa, and Europe treating elite track & field athletes. I was the Chiropractor for Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association (PRCA) and the National Football Players Association (NFLPA). His career culminated when he was invited to '92 Olympic Games held in Barcelona Spain. Dr. Miller was accredited as the team doctor for the Nigerian, Sierra Leone, and Ghana Olympic Track & Field Teams. In 1996 Dr. Miller was again invited to the Olympic Games in Atlanta GA.
Following the 1996 Olympics, I was recruited as an expert advisor on Bio-Kinetic and Human Performance Optimization by Carnegie Mellon University for their driverless truck and several joint programs with the US military.

At the age of 27 I returned to the United States with my girlfriend (now wife) after completing an assignment with the Peace Corps. Readjusting to life in America had a few surprises, most of which were pleasant like regular hot water and a wide range of options in grocery stores. But one of the shocks was seeing friends, who had skipped graduate school and two years in Africa, who were now four or five years into their careers. They were earning good salaries and appeared financially secure. We wouldn't trade the experiences we had overseas, but it made me realize I knew nothing about investing and I had a sense of unease that I was financially way behind my peers. Fortunately, fear can be an excellent motivator.
I spent my nights and weekends learning the difference between stocks, bonds, IRAs, index funds, REITS, and eventually rental properties. The Motley Fool was a great help as were books like Rich Dad, Poor Dad and the Millionaire Next Door. Along the way, I read that the medical device company Medtronic writes a 100 year strategic plan to chart its future. I thought if a company has a 100 year plan, then we needed a 30 year plan. I used retirement calculators to determine what we needed to save to be financially free. Saving this amount would allow us to retire at the age of 57 and to continue traveling overseas. This seven figure goal looked daunting at the time. I was making $24,000 a year and my wife was making about $30,000. I had $1,500 remaining from the $4,800 Peace Corps provided to help returning volunteers readjust to America. I had spent the balance traveling for months in the Middle East including hitchhiking in Syria, Jordan and Israel. We designed a plan that would let us retire in 30 years, but were able to reach our goal in 12 years. Since then we have hit this finical goal two more times well before age 57.

You might think I am crazy and that is ok. The dialogue we have with ourselves will determine the effective growth rate we have in our business and our lives. Think about the title for a moment: Love Is Patient, The Journey Of Developing Self Love To Launch Your Business. First define why love is important in business. The more you love your customers or clients, the more genuine and authentic of an experience the begin to have. The better the experience they have the greater the loyalty to your business or brand they become. This eventually leads to referrals by word of mouth. I had the most amazing experience with this person or business you should check them out. If this is the same concept that creates loyalty and an experience for others, then why on earth would it not work for us. The more we love and respect ourselves the greater loyalty we have to who we are and what we are trying to accomplish.
So what in the freaking heavens are we doing to ourselves in moments of doubt and weakness. Railing and criticizing our very talents and abilities that could be revolutionary in our families, lives, communities or even world. GIVE YOUR SELF THE CREDIT YOU DESERVE. This will be game changing. Make the mistake own it and progress. Learn and move. Lift where you stand and create a revolution within yourself to achieve the unimaginable!!
