This week I begin on The Zone Project Podcast a series about the heart. This part of us has caused great debate within the halls of religion. Do we trust it or do we not? Do we allow life to begin from this place or do we discount what the Bible says because Jeremiah said that it was deceitful and extremely wicked? God speaks about it the most within the pages of the Bible yet so many of us focus instead on doing life from our minds.
The reality is that very little is said within our circles about the heart. Much less is understood about it and what it looks like to do life from it. There are many reasons for this but none more valid than a verse that is found within the pages of the book of Jeremiah. Like most of us I too for many years discounted the heart because of what this verse said. Yet could it really be what Jeremiah wrote all those years ago? Could this verse somehow been mistranslated to perhaps hide something that can truly transform our lives if we discover it and on the process discount everything else God has said about the heart? I invite you to join me on this episode where I share many new discoveries that I believe merit your attention as doing so will inevitably lead you to revisit this matter of the heart.

On episode eight of The Zone Project Podcast I discuss, share, and open up the topic of Prayer. Last week I shared what I have discovered thus far about failure and success and so this week I thought it would be useful to open what often is responsible for enabling us to rise above the clutches of both of these impostors.
In this episode you will have the chance to hear what I have discovered over the last three decades of my life that has transformed both my prayer life and my heart. For many of us prayer is a laboring part of our faith that often feels more like a burden than a blessing to do it. This clearly comes down to how real God is to us and the awareness we have of his presence which leads to a place of intimacy within our hearts.
How you see God will very much determine your prayer life. This perspective of our Heavenly Father can only become healthier if we are transformed by experiencing Gods presence in our lives and not just his power, which is what so many of us are after. Take some time to open your heart and mind and allow yourself the luxury of being taken into a space where so much happens withing the current of Gods rest and unshakable peace. This is one part of your journey that sure posses within it the ability to literally shift the foundations of your life and the life of everyone around the world.

Last week I shared what I have discovered thus far about failure and success and so this week I thought it would be useful to open what often is responsible for enabling us to rise above the clutches of both of these impostors.
In this episode you will have the chance to hear what I have discovered over the last three decades of my life that has transformed both my prayer life and my heart. For many of us prayer is a laboring part of our faith that often feels more like a burden than a blessing to do it. This clearly comes down to how real God is to us and the awareness we have of his presence which leads to a place of intimacy within our hearts.
How you see God will very much determine your prayer life. This perspective of our Heavenly Father can only become healthier if we are transformed by experiencing Gods presence in our lives and not just his power, which is what so many of us are after. Take some time to open your heart and mind and allow yourself the luxury of being taken into a space where so much happens withing the current of Gods rest and unshakable peace. This is one part of your journey that sure posses within it the ability to literally shift the foundations of your life and the life of everyone around the world.

Discovering what it was like there enabled me to further understand the words of Yeshua when addressing this incredibly relevant part in everyone of our lives. Be ready to be surprised by what I will be sharing as much is not what we normally hear from the front when it comes to this topic. God I understand today has no problem whatsoever with us being successful however that said he is very concerned with the impact this can potentially have on our hearts where as we all know real life begins.

Our role being to only remain present in the moment with him and respond accordingly to whatever is before us. Listening and being attentive instead of talking and demanding a way out as soon as possible.

I'm excited to share with all of you the fifth episode of The Zone Project Podcast where I share some thoughts on the difference it makes to our journeys when we approach them from an experiential side as opposed to just a literal one.
In this fifth episode you will have the chance to hear my second attempt at a solo podcast. I have only ever done this once before and so I ask for another extension of grace as I continue to travel along the podcast universe. Don't worry soon I will stop telling you this and asking you to be graceful... I must say that I am really enjoying doing these and hope that you are also as much as I am. It is truly freeing to be able to share my heart and the discoveries and meditations I often have within it. In this episode I swim within the tensions of literalism and experience. I focus particularly in the way that so many of us limit our understanding and experience of God to the text that is written within the Bible.
Clearly in order to experience the deep and life giving riches that are beneath the text in the Bible we need to first read it. There are many of us these days that think that one can only be a part of either a literal or an experiential journey with God. Once again the truth is in neither of these extremes or opposites but instead in the middle between them where we find a healthy mixture of both. Remember the literal text in the Bible can only affect you and change you if it is mixed together with a real time ongoing relation with God who is the one that gives you the eyes to see the spiritual meanings and riches that are behind each word in the text.
