This podcast is a stepping stone for Portland State University undergraduate business students to get involved and engaged within a virtual setting. Our goals for this podcast include providing resources, voicing different perspectives, and promoting The School of Business in all dimensions.
In this episode, Diane and Jorda are joined by guest Shayla Naswood, a senior in the marketing program at PSU and a member of the Navajo Nation. Shayla shares her journey to PSU, her experience as a first-generation student, and some of her many struggles and successes at Portland State.
In this episode, Jorda flies solo as she is joined by Dillon Dayton, a PSU senior. Dillon is double majoring in Business Technology & Analytics and Business Management and has a double minor in Communications and Psychology. Dillon also holds leadership positions in several clubs, is on the intramural volleyball team, and on top of this, Dillon is completing his program in only three years.
In this episode, Diane and Michael are joined by guest Vanisa Khamkhosy. A PSU graduate and independent singer-songwriter.
In this episode, Michael and Diane are joined by Tatum Duke, a senior at PSU studying supply chain and a part-time musician and DJ. Tatum discusses his journey from the music industry into the world of business as well as the dichotomy of his two passions.
In this episode, Jorda and Diane are joined by Christian Aniciete, the social media manager for the Port of Portland, a PSU alumnus, former PSU faculty member, and a proud Filipino. Christian talks about his experience immigrating to the US, his journey through school, how he found a home at Portland State, and the dynamic environment of running the social media for the Port of Portland.
In this episode, Jorda and Diane are joined by guest Dr. Carlos Mena. Carlos discusses the many intricacies of supply chain and corporate sustainability as well as regales us with tails from his travels abroad.
In this episode, Diane is joined by Molly Lowe and Shelby Colt, two representatives from the HRMA club at PSU. Our guests discuss the complexity of HR as well as some of the major issues being addressed in the field of human resources.
In our first all-girls episode since the reboot, Jorda and Diane are joined by Kierra Wing, the student body president and a real estate development grad student. Kierra sheds light on the responsibilities of student government and the team unpack what it means to make a difference in the world.
In this episode, Jorda and Diane are joined by guest Tim Finn, manager of online business and instructor at PSU. Tim shares insight into his time as a student and what it was like to work as a manager at Starbucks. He also talks about the field of business analytics and shares some very exciting news.
In this episode, Diane and Michael are joined by Ben Drew, a grad-student of finance from Toowoomba Australia who is also a distance runner specializing in steeplechase.
In this episode, Diane and Michael are joined by Jim Bariault, the CEO of RocketGlow Marketing. Jim shares stories from his 30+ year career in marketing and his journey to becoming a teacher at PSU.
In this episode, Diane and Jorda are joined by guest Matthew Hull. A business school grad student, the president of the blockchain club, president of the FMA club, a Coast Guard veteran, and an employee of US Bank.
In this episode, Jorda and Kieran are joined by Jenny Hernandez, a PSU business school senior about to graduate with a dual major in Marketing and Advertising, a minor in Sustainability, and a certificate in Food, Beverage, and Consumer Goods. Shortly after graduating, Jenny will start her career as a marketing associate at Target.
