A sure shot candidate for "Fight Of The Year", Vergil Ortiz Jr. vs Serhii Bohachuk had people on the edge of their seats both in the arena and those watching at home. They tested each others' chins, will, spirit and determination. Each fighter's unwillingness to give an inch to the other, translated to a high paced showdown that in the end, we the fans, walked away as the winners.

Ortiz Jr. edged out the victory on two of the three scorecards by only a one round margin. Ortiz Jr. lifts the Interim Title from Bohachuk and will either proceed to an immediate rematch or a likely possible showdown versus Terence "Bud" Crawford.

Angelo Leo has been chipping away and mastering his craft ever since he arrived at the Featherweight division. After Leo lost his belt via decision against Stephen Fulton at 122lbs, Leo moved one division north, began carving his path and piling up wins enroute to a title shot opportunity. His chance came this past Saturday, against veteran Luis Alberto "VENADO" Lopez, and Leo refused to let this opportunity slip away from him. Once again Jake Paul proves to be an entertaining draw and attracted a large crowd for his event against Mike Perry. Paul was successful in his stoppage of the Bare Knuckle "King Of Violence".

The event that was out in Newark, New Jersey with Keyshawn Davis and Abdullah Mason stealing the show and the night.

The co-main event pinned O'Shaquie Foster vs Robson Conceicao in a one-sided affair that showed Foster easily winning the fight, however the judges witnessed an entirely different fight and awarded the victory and the title to Conceicao. A beyond controversial decision bordering with travesty.

The main event showed the mastery and skill of Shakur Stevenson as he successfully defended his WBC Lightweight Strap. Since the fight, there has been a back and forth throughout social media from personalities and fans alike, all on board, as it relates to the unattractive style that Stevenson brings to the sport. Of course, as we've seen in the past, Stevenson doesn't like to be criticized and a war of words and threats have since ensued.

Jack Catterall (29-1) 13KOs waited for two years to not only get his hands on Josh Taylor (19-2) 13KOs once again, but to also avenge the lone defeat of his career. The first fight ended in controversy while the rematch was clearly decided by a dominant performance on behalf of "El Gato" Jack Catterall. The long-awaited showdown between Oleksandr Usyk (22-0) 14KOs and Tyson Fury (34-1-1) 24KOs has come and gone. In the end, we got what we wanted and then some. A tightly contested showdown between two giants of the sport, who fought for all the glory and the coveted Undisputed Heavyweight Title. Usyk would emerge victorious and become Undisputed Champion for a second time in as many divisions. Fury would suffer the first defeat of his career, something that many could not fathom happening.

In the end, we may very well get these two to do it all over again later this year, should the rematch clause be exercised by Fury's team.

In the undercard, we witnessed Kovalev return and suffer another defeat, Agit Kabayel stopped the Cuban sensation in Frank Sanchez, Joe Cordina relinquish his title against a hungry and determined Anthony Cacace & lastly the long-awaited rematch between Jai Opetaia & Mairis Breidis came to fruition and a hell of a fight that it was.

"Loma" dominates Kambosos handing him the third defeat of his career and the first stoppage loss of his resume. Lomachenko finally captures the Lightweight IBF Title that eluded him for so long. Overall, it was an interesting fight that showed us improvements in the arsenal of Kambosos as well as the ever so captivating boxing mastery and IQ of the veteran Lomachenko.

Let's hope that we get to witness all of the current champs attempt to unify this division once again, which will pin the likes of the current champs in Tank, Shakur, Loma and the winner of next week's showdown between Navarrete vs Berinchyk.

Maxi Hughes with a win, will more than likely be chasing Kambosos to try and avenge his controversial loss last year to him and/or could very well be facing Lomachenko, should he come out victorious in his match up versus Kambosos later this year.

For Zepeda, a win would mean a potential WBA Title fight versus "TANK", an IBF showdown against the winner of Loma/ Kambosos, A huge showdown versus Shakur or a WBO Title showdown against the dangerous Raymond Muratalla.

Amanda Serrano steps into the ring to announce that she would not be stepping into the ring due to an eye injury suffered earlier in the week. What we received instead were numerous statements surrounding the injury which raised more questions than provided answers. In turn, we just had to deal with it and be happy that Jake Paul became the night's main event.

In the end, the rug got pulled from underneath everyone's feet.

The legitimate boxing fight of the entire card happened between Jonathan "BOMBA" Gonzalez and Rene Santiago in their WBO Title unification bout. The fight itself under delivered and raised more questions than it provided answers, nonetheless it was a technical fight with legitimate ranking and title implications.

As for Jake Paul and MVP Promotions, the fans are becoming accustomed as to what to expect in future events, as they are setting a trend of unexpected sideshow entertainment rather than legitimate boxing, which continuously has MVP Promotions providing justifications, excuses and reasons for what took place during their respective event earlier in the day.

In an amazing display of heart and determination, Notshinga manages to withstand "Gatito" Curiel's onslaught and turns the tide late in the 9th. By the 10th, Notshinga capitalized on his momentum and pulled off an incredible stoppage win of Curiel. Diaz suffers the 5th loss of his career and it's starting to look like his career may be coming to a close. Dmitrii Bivol (21-0) 11 KOs hands Gilberto "Zurdo" Ramirez (44-1) 30 KOs the first loss of his career and separates himself as not only a great Light Heavyweight but proves that he is an Elite level fighter.

Bivol outclassed and picked apart Ramirez enroute to a decisive victory.

Chantelle Cameron (17-0) 8 KOs becomes the Undisputed Light Welterweight/ Super Lightweight Champion with a clear, fairly one sided victory over the Welterweight & current Undisputed Champ Jessica McCaskill (12-3) 5 KOs.

Lastly, Rakhimov (17-0-1) 14 KOs weather's the storm and manages to outlast and knock out Zelfa Barrett (28-2) 16 KOs, to win the 130 lb IBF Title.

William "CAMARON" Zepeda (27-0) 23 KOs, remains undefeated and bested "JOJO" Diaz Jr. (32-3-1) 15 KOs, handing him the third loss of his career as he got his hand raised when it was all said and done in San Diego. Zepeda seized the moment and placed the entire Lightweight division on notice with his amazing record setting performance and victory.

Vasyl Lomachenko (17-2) 11 KOs adds another win on his record as he defeats a game Jamaine Ortiz (16-1-1) 8 KOs and hands him the first loss of his young career. "LOMA" inches closer to a mega fight versus Devin Haney and the possibility of regaining the divisions throne.

Katie Taylor's Undisputed status remains intact as she defeated Carabajal and improves to (22-0) 6 KOs. Taylor can now look forward to the highly anticipated rematch & super-fight against the legendary Amanda Serrano.

Jake Paul also avoided a blemish on his record as he encountered the toughest challenge of his young career out in Phoenix, Arizona. His efforts were successful against the Legend and Hall Of Famer Anderson "Spider" Silva. "The Problem Child" improves to (6-0) 4 KOs and can now put his promoting hat on once again and turn his efforts towards securing the highly touted rematch between Serrano & Taylor.

Lastly, Masayoshi Nakatani (20-3) 14 KOs suffers the third defeat of his career at the hands of the heavy handed and fellow countryman Shuichiro Yoshino, who improves to (16-0) 12 KOs.

The lightweight division is under the scope of the boxing world as Joseph "JOJO" Diaz (32-2-1) 15 KOs faces up and coming Mexican sensation William "Camaron" Zepeda (26-0) 23 KOs in a meaningful fight for the division. The Mexican-American vs Mexican war will be hosted by the city of San Diego.

Over in New York Vasyl Lomachenko (16-2) 11 KOs steps into the ring against a rising star in Jamaine Ortiz (16-0-1) 8 KOs. This is definitely the biggest test for the young Ortiz while for Loma this is a stay busy fight and a step closer at challenging for all the titles and regaining his throne atop the division.

Devin Haney hands George Kambosos his second loss in as many fights between the two and retains every one of his titles. "The Dream" continues to get better each time out and remains Boxing's Undisputed Lightweight King.

"The Bronze Bomber" is back to his winning ways and delivered a trembling and scary knockout on Robert Helenius.

Deontay vs Andy Ruiz, Joe Joyce or will we finally get the showdown between Wilder and Joshua? Only time will tell.

The co-main event delivered as well, as the highly touted and highly anticipated fight between Caleb Plant and Anthony Dirrell had fans intrigued from beginning to end. "Sweet Hands" knocked out Dirrell with a stunning left hook, flush on the button in the 9th round and put the Super Middleweight division on notice once again.

Plant vs Benavidez is the fight to make. Let's hope it happens next for both of these fighters!

Claressa Shields hands Savannah Marshall the first loss of her career and becomes Undisputed once again at 160 lbs.

Alycia Baumgardner gets the nod over Mikaela Mayer and unifies titles at 130 lbs. in what was a tightly contested encounter between two current greats.

"The Dream" Devin Haney (28-0) 15 KOs faces off in a rematch against "Ferocious" George Kambosos Jr. (20-1) 10 KOs at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, Australia.

A lot of questions will be answered....Will Devin continue his dominance and start the fight where he left off in round 12 of their first encounter? Will Kambosos be able to infiltrate the pocket and disrupt Devin's rhythm and game plan and make this a back-and-forth firefight?

We're only hours away from what has all the makings of being a great rematch fight.

Sebastian "The Towering Inferno" Fundora (20-0-1) 13 KO's defeats Ocampo and retains his WBC Interim 154lb Title. This keeps him in line and as the mandatory to face the Undisputed King Jermell Charlo.

Carlos Adames (22-1) 17 KOs stops Montiel, wins the WBC Interim 160lb Title and stands hopeful at receiving a shot at Middleweight Champ Jermall Charlo.

Fernando "Pumita" Martinez (15-0) 8 KOs pummels Jerwin Ancajas again, handing him losses in as many fights between the two and retains his IBF Super Flyweight Title.

Egidijus "Mean Machine" Kavaliauskas (23-2-1) 18 KOs defeats Mykal Fox and gets back into the win column after a long layoff.

Shakur Stevenson (19-0) 9 KOs puts on another dominant performance in front of his hometown crowd. Shakur lost his WBC & WBO 130lb. titles on Thursday evening at the scales but manages to deliver a masterful performance in his final fight Friday night at Super-Featherweight. He sends a clear message to the Lightweight division and handed Robson Conceicao (17-2) 8 KOs the second loss of his career.

In a matter of 48 hours, Shakur managed to shake up the landscape of two of the most competitive divisions in boxing.

Shakur Stevenson (18-0) 9 KOs vs Robson Conceicao (17-1) 8 KOs is still on & moving forward.

Shakur missed weight and was subsequently stripped of both the WBC & WBO Super-Featherweight Titles. Shakur hit the scales at 131.6 while Conceicao came in at 129.6.

Both belts will be on the line for Conceicao should he win. For Shakur, he was okay with relinquishing his belts at the scale and quickly announced this being his final fight at 130 pounds. Shakur also immediately took to social media and let the boxing world know that he will take his talents to the Lightweight division and begin his campaign there in his very next fight.

Saul "CANELO" Alvarez (58-2-2) 39 KOs brought the Trilogy to a decisive end this past Saturday versus his old nemesis Gennadiy "GGG" Golovkin (42-2-1) 37 KOs.

We cover in detail the event that was CANELO vs GGG III and dive into the undercard as well briefly talking about "AMMO" Williams, "KING" Gabe and "BAM" Rodriguez.

Oleksandr Usyk (20-0) 13 KOs retains his titles and manages to once again outclass and outperform Anthony Joshua (24-3) 22 KOs.

Saul "CANELO" Alvarez (57-2-2) 39 KOs will face off against his former foe Gennadiy "GGG" Golovkin (42-1-1) 37 KOs for a third time.

The two faced off in 2017 and fought to a controversial draw. A year later in 2018, CANELO got the nod over GGG in their highly anticipated rematch. GGG sits as a unified champ at 160 pounds and is moving up to Super-Middleweight to challenge CANELO for the Undisputed Throne at 168 pounds and all his belts.

Andy Ruiz improves to (35-2) 22 KOs and gets the decision over Luis Ortiz (33-3) 28 KOs in what was a highly contested Heavyweight match which tested each other's wits, chins and hearts.

"The Destroyer" may be moving towards a potential matchup vs fellow PBC fighter and former champion Deontay Wilder while Luis Ortiz will await his next foe, as he remains a tough test for any Heavyweight that chooses to step across the ring from him.

The highly anticipated event between Claressa Shields and Savannah Marshall will have to wait a bit longer. The Mega-Fight is cancelled/ postponed until a provisional date of October 15, 2022, due to the recent passing of Queen Elizabeth II.

From email Champ to mail-in Champ to paper Champ, Devin Haney was pushed around, criticized and ridiculed for the last couple of years. He remained patient and consistent, and it has all paid off for him now.

"El Bandera Roja" David Benavidez (26-0) 23 KOs blasts through David Lemieux to secure a portion of his old WBC Super-Middleweight title and become a 3x Champ for the WBC. Will he get to unify the WBC strap vs CANELO or find himself across the ring from Caleb Plant, Demetrius Andrade, David Morrell or Jermall Charlo?

Elsewhere in the desert, Zhanibek put Dignum to sleep in round 2 to win the interim WBO title at 160lbs. He is now Andrade's mandatory and is bound to be a fight or so away from unifying against Jermall Charlo and/or his fellow countryman GGG.

Holly Holm became our fight game's only "FIRST-FIRST" after her legendary victory over Rousey in 2015.

The decorated Holly has ammased a multitude of titles and is headed to Canastota, NY this June to be enshrined in the International Boxing Hall Fame.

Jermell Charlo put an end to any and all doubts, haters, questions, discussions, what have you regarding who the throne in the 154lb. division belongs to. He stopped Brian Castano in their highly anticipated rematch and cemented his legacy while at it.

B-Hop, Jermaine Taylor, Crawford, Usyk, Josh Taylor, Canelo & now Jermell Charlo joins the group of Undisputed Kings.

My brother Joe joined me in breaking down the highly anticipated rematch for Super Welterweight Supremacy between Jermell "Ironman" Charlo (34-1-1) 18 KOs & "El Boxi" Brian Castano (17-0-2) 12 KOs.

We managed to piece an episode together at 2:00 AM, accompanied by some good whiskey and cigars. We took a deep dive into their first fight and the questionable decision. We also breakdown the rematch and our path to victory for each fighter as we see it.

Dmitrii Bivol (20-0) 11 KOs gets his hand raised and edges out a decision win against the odds, the judges and the boxing great Saul "CANELO" Alvarez (57-2-2) 39 KOs. Bivol fought the perfect fight and managed to control the pace from beginning to end all the while not allowing CANELO to execute his plan.

Bivol can either look forward to an even bigger paycheck should a rematch with CANELO come to fruition or look to unify the division versus the winner of Beterbiev vs Smith Jr's showdown taking place mid-June 2022.

Katie Taylor (21-0) 6 KOs defended her throne against a game Amanda Serrano (42-2-1) 30 KOs. This was a special and meaningful fight for not only women's boxing but for the sport in general. Katie Taylor defended her titles in a closely contested fight versus a hungry and legend in her own right in Amanda Serrano. It was an electrifying night at the Mecca of Boxing to say the least.

Rumors for a rematch are underway and potentially headed to Katie's home country of Ireland.

Also, we dive into the crossroads match-up between Smith vs Vargas and the fight for 168lb. SUPREMACY in women's boxing between Franchon Crews-Dezurn and Elin Cederroos.

Shakur Stevenson (18-0) 9 KOs, out pointed and outboxed Oscar Valdez (30-1) 23 KOs. Shakur handed Valdez the first loss of his career and looked amazing while doing it. Shakur has unified the 130lb. Division and now holds the WBO, WBC & RING Magazine Lineal Titles.

Let's hope that Oscar bounces back strong and for Shakur, the sky is the limit, and he has put Roger Gutierrez and Kenichi Ogawa on notice.

One belt remains for Errol Spence (28-0) 22KO's to conquer, and it happens to be around the waist of one Terrence Crawford. Spence established control early in the night and eventually stopped Yordenis Ugas down the stretch. Spence now has three of the four belts at Welterweight and is looking to unify the entire division prior to vacating and moving up to 154.

We also dive in at the important matchups that took place earlier in the night during the undercard.

Tyson Fury (32-0-1) 23 KO's battered Dillian Whyte and closed the show with a nasty right-hand uppercut. His record remains unblemished, and we may very well have witnessed "The Gypsy King" for the final time.

Will we see him face the likes of Joshua or Usyk or was this the final curtain call Tyson Fury?

We breakdown the highly anticipated and long-awaited grudge match/ showdown between Amir Khan (34-5) 21KO's vs Kell Brook (39-3) 27KO's.

The fight was agreed at a catch weight of 149lbs. which is a modified Welterweight limit of the traditional 147lb division limit.

Both fighters made weight with Khan coming in a pound lighter than Brook at 147.5lbs, while "Special K" came in at 148.5lbs.

Going on two decades in the making, this fight has all the signs of a classic. Let's hope it delivers and doesn't end in controversy.

Sergio "MARAVILLA" Martinez defeats Macaulay McGowan and improves his record to (55-3-2) 30 KOs. This is his fourth victory since his return to the ring, dating back to August of 2020.

He has his sights set on becoming champion once again and is strategically working towards positioning himself for a shot at the WBA Middleweight Title.

We dive into the current landscape of the Heavyweight Division and the Cruiserweight Division by way of Trevor Bryan and Ilunga Makabu.

Trevor Bryan successfully defended his WBA World Heavyweight Title vs a game Jonathan Guidry and Ilunga Makabu managed to save his big looming "PAYDAY" by getting a decision win vs his old foe in Thabiso Mchunu. By winning, Makabu now awaits a big purse in the form of a proposed showdown with none other than against Saul CANELO Alvarez.

For Trevor Bryan, the path ahead for him looks tough. He holds a title, but his days look numbered as he nears facing the top opposition of a stacked Heavyweight Division.

The Filipino star improves to (24-0, 16 KOs) and hands Gary Russell Jr. (31-2, 18KOs) his second loss. Magsayo not only got his hand raised but is now the WBC Featherweight Champ and shook things up in the 126 LB. Division.

We not only dive into the fight but we give a full review and preview of things to come in the current Featherweight Division.

Stephen Fulton is awarded the decision over Brandon Figueroa in what was a closely contested fight. It was a judge's nightmare to score but no controversy here......The right man won and Stephen Fulton's options open up as he can honor a rematch with Brandon Figueroa or seek to unify the division vs "MJ" Murodjon Akhmadaliev.

Teofimo is unable to make a single defense of any of his Titles as George Kambosos gets the decision win, puts a stop to "The Takeover" and lifts the WBA, WBO, IBF & RING Magazine Lightweight Belts from Lopez. This was a sure shot candidate for Fight Of The Year (FOTY).
