Welcome to the Watershed Teaching Podcast! Watershed is the high school ministry of Perimeter Church in Johns Creek, GA. Perimeter Church is a part of the Presbyterian Church in America. Watershed is a place where we hope high school students would CONNECT, RECEIVE, and TRANSFORM. We want to see students connect with God and others through healthy community, receive His Truth through Gospel centered, grace based teaching, and be transformed by the Gospel to then go transform their world. Jeff starts a new series on the book of Psalms, a prayer book for God's people that points to Jesus.
Jeff concludes our series called, "The Real Deal About Romance". The main idea: What does it look like to wait until marriage to have sex? And how do we set up boundaries well!
Jeff concludes our series called AND. He talked us through sin and struggle, and how through this, Gods wrath is coming. Because the text deals somewhat with homosexuality, Jeff addressed this sin in a the context of a list of many other sins. Jesus, and the Cross makes payment for it all!
Emilio showed us how God is both Creator and Judge! He creates, holds His creation to a high standard, pours out His wrath, and provides Jesus as the one who takes away that wrath by putting it on Himself.
Jeff continued our AND series, asking of us, are we a praying, faith filled, diverse community.
Jimmy Kim kicked off our new Knowing God series called "AND." The big idea while walking through the first few verses in Romans is that as a believer our ultimate identity is IN CHRIST!
Tegan recaps the main points shared at the Lifestyle retreat, and continues to share Watershed vision on connecting with God and connecting with others. Emilio also shares the plan for the next 6:10 prayer initiative.
Emilio concludes our series called "Created Matter" by drawing our attention to the fall of man, and how sin's effects distorted the image of God in us. Though it affected everything, there is good news to the broken image in man: the redemption and restoration we have in Christ.
Jimmy continues our new series called Created Matter, talking about the cultural mandate for believers. God created us to rule and multiply as His ambassadors carrying His redemption to the ends of the earth.
Emilio kicks off our new series called Created Matter. God intentionally designed man and woman in His image with inherent dignity and worth. We are indeed known by and loved by God.
Emilio welcomes Watershed back from the Christmas Break and challenges us to be a community that comes TOGETHER for the sake of glorifying God.
Kate talks about Luke 1-2 and how because of Christmas and because God lowered Himself to live among us, we are not alone and we are called to love and serve others just as Jesus loved and served us.
Rip shares from Scripture and from his own personal experience how important it is to believe the truth found in God's Word as opposed to the lies from the world.
