This Sunday was a bit of a change up. As Joel preaches about in Exodus 15, the Israelites are rescued from the Pharaohs army and they finally have freedom. Their first response is to sing a song of praise to God. We have so much to be thankful for a church body. Today we baptized two people who wanted to make their faith in Jesus Christ public. So just like the Israelites did after they were baptized to Moses through the Red Sea (1 Corinthians 10:1-4) we celebrate baptism today. We encourage you to worship along with the songs as you listen and Thank God for the blessing of freedom we find through Christ. This week was our Baby Dedication day where parents make a promise to God to raise their babies in a God centered and Biblical way. Our church body also promises to pray and come along side those families when they need help. Todays sermon is in Exodus 2 and it's about what It takes to be parent in a Godly way.
This week we begin our new series "Exodus: On The Move!" This is the first message of many going through the entire book of Exodus and we're so excited to see what God teaches us through this sermon series!Today pastor Joel starts us off in Exodus chapter 1 with a sermon called "Living In The Promise."
This weeks sermon is given to us by Guest Speaker Tim McGee. He is the associate pastor at First Baptist Powell, and gives us a lesson from 2 Kings 6:24-7:20.
For the 4th week of Missions Month we are so thankful to have guest speaker Carl Smith who is the Executive Director of Families on Mission International. He preaches the story of the Good Samaritan from Luke 10:25-37.
The first 50 minutes or so of Sunday's sermon was a Q&A with representatives from Choices Resource Center, Street Hope, Sacred Ground Hospice House, and Renew Clinic. These are all ministries that we partner with here at the church. We wanted you to know more about these ministries, and ways you can help support them if the Lord calls you to do so.
The last part is a short sermon where Joel preaches from the book of Jonah!
This week Clark preaches from John 9. He goes through the whole chapter and discusses the miracle of Jesus healing the blind beggar.
We took a break from our James series for Baby Dedication Sunday! In this message Pastor Joel speaks on how parents can defeat dysfunction in their families!
