GoldRush is a conference for students, by students. What makes it unique? Well, it's entirely student-led. Yeah. Students speak, lead worship, facilitate small groups, the whole deal (even pick up trash). Your students have never experienced a conference more relevant to their lives. Brooke Wheeler - "A Battle From Within" - Is there a struggle in your life that you just can't put a finger on? Do you have a hard time sharing an internal conflict or a spiritual battle? Does the fear and confusion lead to being consumed with perfection and approval? Foes the pressure built up inside cause you to feel depressed?
Davis Mitchell - "Intentional Living" - Most people never think about how to live their lives with purpose and direction. Most students just respond to life as it happens. What if there was a way we could live our lives intentionally? What if our schedules didn't control us? What if we lived every day confident we were accomplishing the purpose for which God created us?
Erin McMichael - "Living in God's Timing" - Wednesday/second recording I've struggled with accepting God's love - instead finding that I could control guys in getting what I wanted (to be loved and wanted) through hooking up with them. How has God pursued my heart when I've wanted to live by the world's standards?
Simone Fortin - "The Sinless Throws the First Stone" - Following Jesus' example means showing others grace because of the grace He shows us.
Jamie Carlson - "Back to the Future" - 100% of your life is "in the past." It makes you who you are, but how do you not allow it to determine who you will be?!
