Velda Love serves as Minister for Racial Justice in The Justice and Local Church Ministries of The United Church of Christ National Office in Cleveland, OH. The goal of her work is to dismantle and eradicate racism by understanding the role and intent of the creation of colorism categories, the construction of whiteness , and people of color myths. Velda brings an African-centered, black liberation, and Womanist approach to the Bible and theology, placing God at the center of life and faith.
Kathryn V. Stanley is an Atlanta-based educator, writer, editor and public theologian. Her writings appear in a number of publications. Kathryn supports both youth and adults in enhancing their writing skills. Most recently, she served as writing coach to a group of women who participated in a writing intensive with Dr. Renita Weems at the Collegeville Institute. An intergenerational daughter of teachers and preachers, Kathryn was educated in the public schools of Washington, DC, Spelman College, the University of School of Law, and the Candler School of Theology at Emory University. Ash-Lee Woodard Henderson is an Affrilachian (Black Appalachian) working class woman and the first Black woman Executive Director of the Highlander Research & Education Center, a historic social justice leadership training school and cultural center. Ash-Lee is a long-time activist working against environmental racism and for workers rights, racial justice, and women’s and LGBTQUIA+ rights across the South. She serves on the governance council of the Southern Movement Assembly and is a nationally recognized leader in the Movement for Black Lives.

Songwriting is how Tracy Howe cultivates her own humanity as she passes through a world largely condemning and diminishing of the beauty, interconnections and vulnerability that come with being human. She writes, “I was not born into a socio-political location that caused me to struggle for justice. I was born both addicted and blind to the privilege and power that global exploitation, militarism and racism hold in place for a few. Thank God I had music. My early touring career brought me across the continental United States and many parts of Central and South America. The songs opened pathways of relationships and the relationships seeded new songs about the lived realities of people in many different places and the struggles for life and justice everywhere. She was called into organizing during a “perfect storm” at a Gamaliel Network organizer training when a good agitation by her mother was followed by her throwing up and making a decision to come out of the shadows and build power in community. She graduated cum laude from the University of Missouri-St. Louis (BA-Political Science) and has a juris doctorate from St. Louis University-School of Law. Regina D. Clarke has Masters degrees in Divinity and Christian Education with an emphasis in Ethics and Social/Restorative Justice from Samuel Dewitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University. She has a heart burst for the Deaf, the Hard of Hearing, the abused, and those who are “forgotten or discarded” by mainstream society. Her thirst for connecting the community and the church has led her to serve in prisons, domestic violence shelters, and the community-at-large to ensure no person -- despite their past, abilities, or status -- would be denied the opportunity to learn about Jesus and walk faithfully with their God. She currently serves on the ministerial staff of Abyssinian Missionary Baptist Church in Memphis. She is also a speaker in the Transform Network Speakers Bureau.

Keith (Sijuwola) Crawford is an activist and organizer born and formed in Memphis, TN. He studied Jazz Piano Performance, Church Growth at Crichton College. Having served as a music minister for over 20 years, in addition to accepting a call to Christian ministry in 2004, he has since embraced and centered African traditional religion but is passionate about owning all of his experiences and people. In addition to being the owner of Base 10 Mathematics, Siju, as he is called by his friends, has organized with local groups in response to police involved shooting in Memphis, TN, and won labor elections while organizing faculty in K-12 and higher ed. He is currently the Lead Organizer of #UpTheVote901, an org dedicated to seeing more power, information, and representation (PIR) in the hands of more people.

Dr. Fisher is an Adjunct Instructor of Religion and Humanities professor at several local colleges in Memphis. He was selected as an outstanding UNCF Historically Black College and University (HBCU) alumnus and inducted in the 2012 Hall of Honors class.
