This series includes This I Believe essays written by Thomas Middle’s School’s 8th grade class of 2020-2021 and Mann Middle School's 8th grade class of 2019-2020.
There is no ‘single story’ to an 8th grade student. Not all young teens have the same story. We are all, in fact, made up of dozens of stories that shape us into the people we are and determine the values we hold dear.
These essays will hopefully shatter the idea there is a single story of what it means to be an 8th grader.
