After a small success in society I went around the world and through various cultures, including an overland odyssey from England to India, and returned to California a changed person. It all started November 4th, 1968, the night Nixon was elected president. I was walking through the No-Name Bar in Sausalito, a scenic village on San Francisco Bay, following friends to the back patio when, in an instant, as my foot landed on the floor, my life changed.
