A COP 30, que começa em Belém, recoloca os sistemas alimentares no centro das negociações climáticas. No episódio do podcast “Fabio.Live”, três convidadas — Marcela (The Pollination Project), Aline (ProVeg) e Gabriela (SVB) — explicam por que não há transição justa sem mudar o que produzimos e comemos. Segundo elas, no Brasil cerca de 74% das emissões vem da agropecuária e do uso da terra; reduzir a pecuária e ampliar a produção vegetal é medida climática, sanitária e social.
A ProVeg descreve três frentes: compras públicas com mais refeições vegetais; apoio a produtores que migram da pecuária para sistemas agroflorestais; e políticas que priorizem alimentos regionais e sazonais. A SVB lança a campanha “Comida Sustentável Brasil”, propondo “cardápios municipais sustentáveis” — pelo menos um dia 100% vegetal por semana em escolas, hospitais, restaurantes populares e presídios — inspirada no programa já premiado da rede municipal de São Paulo. Também será apresentado um Observatório de Políticas Públicas para mapear iniciativas que reduzam produtos de origem animal.
As convidadas lembram que a COP tem Zona Azul (negociações oficiais) e Zona Verde (atividades abertas). Haverá ainda a Cúpula dos Povos, com forte presença indígena e de movimentos do campo. Em Belém, restaurantes parceiros oferecerão opções veganas baseadas na biodiversidade amazônica. O recado é direto: metas climáticas não se cumprem sem políticas alimentares — do feijão à merenda escolar, do crédito rural à reforma das compras públicas. Menos boi, mais planta. É bom para o clima, para a floresta e para quem come.
