The title of today’s message is NEVER SETTLE.
As you look inside your mirror of truth today. It is crucial that you know and remember that the image staring back at you is your creation. Yes I know a higher power greater than yourself and your biological parents played a part in your initial audition and arrival on the stage of life. But the induvial you see looking back at you at this very moment is a reflection of your manifestation one way or another. Your thoughts, beliefs, actions, and lack thereof have rendered your truth. In other words your perception has, is, and always will be your reality one way or another. So today I have been sent here to tell you that you will not get everything you want in life. But you will get everything you are. So I challenge each and everyone of you to never settle. Because if you settle you will rob yourself of the greatness that is waiting for you on the other side of the bridge. Never settle for mediocrity. Never settle for average. Never settle of inconsistency. Never settle for a lazy mindset. Never settle for procrastination. Never settle for fear. Never settle for doubt. Never settle for the word NO. Turn that NO around and it is ON. Never settle for the negative opinions of others. Never settle for past failures and rejection. Never settle for painful memories which continue to block your path and hold you back. You are powerful. You are strong. You are beautiful. You are love. Go out and create your masterpiece. Take another step forward and don’t stop until you reach your destination. Along the way and as you find the courage to cross your bridge of resistance. It won’t be easy. Life will knock you down. And that’s a part of the process. But as long as you make the choice to get back up. You will not lose. Believe me when I tell you this. You can. You will. You must. Overcome your Tears, Trials, and Tribulations. Transform your Energy. Raise your level of Execution. And as your Elevation of thoughts and actions expand. You will be ready to embrace your Evolution. Never Settle. Our world today is filled with opportunities. And while you are still breathing. Go out there and stand up for your right to be heard and make a difference. Your passion whatever it may be is yours. You get to define your purpose. Your talent is a gift but greatness is a choice. And greatness is waiting for you on the other side of that bridge. The title of today’s show “Black Disney”
I was on hiatus for a few weeks and It feels good to be back in the basement. While I was away I enjoyed my quality time with my children, my family, and the people I love. Life is short and anytime you have an opportunity to relax and enjoy the outside air I recommend you not miss your chance to feel alive again. I really enjoyed a number of activities but the nothing can top my visit to “Black Disney”. So you may be wondering what in world is TR talking about? Well check this out. A few weeks ago My family from Virginia and my crew from Ohio decided to visit what some people refer to as the happiest place on earth. Now I am not here to argue that opinion one way or another but I will admit I had a great time during my stay at Walt Disney World. Yes it was hot and humid everyday and some items were overpriced. But it did not stop me or anyone in my family from taking over the spot from day one. At full strength we were 14 strong and most of the time the mouseketeers did not know how to handle that many black people coming towards them at one time. We was loud. Excited! Happy. And it didn’t take long for that Florida sun to turn our brown asses to Black! Hence the title “Black Disney” But despite the heat, it did not stop us from having a goodtime. Now there were moments we had to take a time out because despite what you may have heard, you got to be in shape walking around those parks and standing in line. And if you are not. It won’t take long before you are exposed by the unforgiving heat and humidity. But more importantly it was about reminding the young and old in our entourage that you can go anywhere in life if you believe. You can go anywhere in life if you put in the work. Although I had been there before and I knew a few things about vacationing inside of the house that Mikey built. I still had an incredible time spending precious moments with the ones who truly matter in my life. We laughed. We cried. We joked. We complained. We endured the random back checks upon entering every park. But at the end of the journey we finished the way we started and that was as a family. I read somewhere once. “That if you are willing to learn, then no one can stop you.” So as we come to the close I remind all of you that no matter what stage you are currently in, inside your life. Don’t miss your opportunity to learn, grow, create, and evolve into the person you want to be. This movement is about you. This movement is about me. This movement is about us. So as we part for now. Welcome to The Rush On Life. March 18th, 2021. I am your host. My Name is TR. Rush. Thank you for continuing to support the show. Welcome to all who are listening for the first time. This movement is about you. This movement is about me. This movement is about us. This is The Rush On Life. The title of today’s message. Dream with your eyes open. Your desires to transform. Your willingness to define your purpose. Your commitment to making lasting change in your life starts with a dream. As you create your vision and find the courage to take that first step. Be courageous and dream with your eyes open. Many of you continue to close your eyes while you hope, pray, and wish that your life would become something different. And there’s nothing wrong with hoping, praying, and wishing on a star. But the change you seek will not happen, until you believe that you have power inside of you. It will not change until you decide to take action. It will not happen until you decide to put away the alibis and excuses. It will not become a reality until you put in the work. Don’t be afraid to take risk. Don’t be afraid to take a chance on you. Stop simply hoping and start doing. Block out the darkness of negativity and allow your light of inspiration to shine. You have already overcome your share of agony, misery, and heartbreak. You have been knocked down before and found a way to get back up. And while the challenges of life may beat you down sometime. Don’t give up. Your dream is still waiting for you to open your eyes. You don’t need permission from others who don’t believe in you. Say it out loud.
I believe in me. As you listen to this message. Push away the doubt. Someone or something may be telling you that you should give up. Procrastination and fear may be pulling you down. But if you would just take the leap and no longer allow the outside world to control your thoughts. You can defeat your enemies. You can overcome your obstacles. By believing in yourself. By loving yourself. And by dreaming with your eyes open. When I was a child I use to have all kinds of dreams about what I wanted to do when I got older. And while I haven’t achieved everything I hoped for. And many of my birthday wishes have not come true yet. But I’m proud to say that my life is moving in the right direction. Because I decided to not allow fear to stop me any longer. I decided to believe in myself. I decided to love myself. I challenge all of you listening to take action. Your belief in yourself has to become a verb and no longer just a noun. I wish I could tell you that it’s going to be easy. I wish I could tell you that after you turn off the sound of my voice everything will be just fine. But you and I know that is not how this process works. But I promise you that if you stop allowing others to decide for you. You will begin to see a change in your life. It doesn’t matter what your age is. There is no requirement or restriction. It does not matter what your race is. Because greatness within is color blind. Greatness within you is a choice. So stop crying about the past. Stop lying about tomorrow. Do it today. You owe it to yourself. To fight for your life. You are worthy and now is the time to Dream with your eyes open. This is about you. This is about me. This is about us. This is The Rush On Life. The title of today’s message; Turn your NO around. It is ON. Last week I encouraged all of us to embrace the idea, that now is the time. Today I have been sent to tell you that in order to make a change in your life and live your dreams. You must turn your NO around. It is ON. Throughout your life, you may have heard the word NO, more than the sweet sound of yes. But that’s ok. You NO longer have to allow past disappointments to stop you from moving forward in your life. A long time ago and before you had a name. A higher power blessed you with the gift of FREEWILL. And with that gift you have the power inside of you to turn your NO around. Because it is ON. For far too long you may have been living under the illusion that your success is up to someone else. But I am here to tell you. You NO longer have to accept the default-programming that has been designed to have you play it safe. This flawed programming has filled your mind with self-limiting doubts and fear. And up until this very moment it has held you back from reaching your full potential. It has taught you to know your place and not step out of line. But from this moment forward you have a choice. You can continue to just survive. Or you can Turn your NO around. Because it is ON. And once you decide to turn your NO around. Life as you knew it will never be the same. Before we go any further. I need you to say this out loud. I Believe In me. When the light enters your room for the very first time in the morning. Something amazing happens. Now the source of this light may come from a switch that may have been turned ON. Or the brightness you see may have come from God as a reminder that you are still alive. Either way it is an opportunity for you to make a choice. You can keep your eyes closed and continue to live your life blinded by darkness. Or you can wake up. Announce your presence. Embrace the truth. Open your eyes. And turn your NO around. Because it is ON. From this moment forward every time you hear the word NO. You must recognize that it is an opportunity to turn it around. Our Tears, Trials, and Tribulations aren’t always easy. We don’t pass every test on the first try. But believe me when I tell you. If you are willing to take a chance on yourself. Believe in yourself. Put in the hard work. Nothing or NO one will be able to stop you from turning your NO around. Because it is ON. The results you seek may not happen overnight. It will take time. But do not be discouraged. I don’t care what it is you are trying to accomplish. It doesn’t matter how many doors are shut in front of you. Your self-love. Your hard work. And your unyielding belief, that you will not be denied. Will unlock any door. And give you the strength to turn your NO around. Because it is ON. I am not saying you have to do it all alone. The road will get dark sometimes. And every now and then the load may seem too heavy to bear. And there is nothing wrong with asking for a little help. But please don’t become a victim by choosing to not believe in yourself. Let me hear you say it one more time. I Believe In Me! Every day you are fortunate to take another breath. God. The universe. Or whomever you believe in has given you an opportunity to become who you are meant to be. So as you ponder your next move in this chess game of life. Don’t do it because I said so. Don’t do it solely for the ones you love. Do it for you. You now have the courage inside of you. To turn your NO around. It is ON. This is about you. This is about me. This is about us. Now is the time to flip your fear of rejection and turn it into a mindset filled with positive direction. Now is the time to be courageous in your thoughts and actions. Now is the time to stop worrying about what others think about you. Now is the time to prove yourself right. As you listen and your mind starts to wake up, now is the time to define your purpose. I have been sent here to deliver you a message of hope and inspiration. Now is the time to dream big and do something about it. Now is the time to throw away the excuses and alibis. Now is the time for Energy. Now is the time for Execution. Now is the time for Elevation. Now is the time for Evolution. Now is the time to accept the truth, that somewhere inside of you greatness is waiting for the call. Now is the time to know that your Talent is a Gift. But Greatness is a Choice. Now is the time to truly believe that a higher power has put you here on this earth for a special reason. You are worthy. Now is the time to remember that many are called but only a few are chosen. Here on The Rush On Life, now is the time to fulfill our purpose. As you start everyday and give thanks for being alive. And before you put your plan into action. Take a look in the mirror and say these words from the inside out. I BELIEVE IN ME. It doesn’t matter what you may have heard prior to this moment. Because now is the time to believe in yourself. Now is the time to know that you no longer need permission to do what you have been chosen to do. Your Talent is a Gift. But Greatness is a Choice. Now is the time my beloved to know the whole truth. And the truth is this. If you believe in yourself and put in the hard work. Your dreams will come true. Now is the time to realize that no one is holding you back but you. It won’t be easy and difficulties will arise. But don’t give up. Don’t quit on yourself. Now is the time to believe and know that the hard work you put in the darkness, will shine bright now that your moment has arrived. Trust me when I tell you. You don’t need to swallow a magic pill. You don’t have to ingest a secret elixir. Now is the time to taste the air of freedom. Now is the time to move your life forward. Forgive yourself. Believe in yourself. Love yourself. Now is the time to win. Don’t waste another second of your life. Because now is the time to dismantle the enemies within your mind. A mindset of laziness, procrastination, doubt, and fear will take your life if you continue to consume this dish full of poison. Now is the time to realize that your internal belief, discipline, and self-love are the ingredients that are required to develop your vaccination of truth. I look forward to moving ahead together. You get to define your purpose.
Politics:
1. Mr. Trump’s 2nd impeachment trial has begun. Trust me when I tell you the final results will mirror the first. Cowards and Trump apologist will not vote to convict. Excuses, Alibis, and White Privilege will be on full display.
2. Stimulus talks heat up and for some of you, your checks are on the way. Many of the lawmakers and talking heads who are not in favor of the $1400 checks are hypocrites because they don’t have to worry about paying the rent and putting food on the table. All the while a great number of them have and continue to benefit from the Trump tax credits which did little to nothing to help the majority of the American people who really need a break.
3. Covid-19 continues to run its course but progress is being made. Our new normal may not happen today but that brighter day we are longing for will be upon us sooner than later. Keep making good decisions and don’t ever stop fighting for lasting change.
Sports:
1. NFL season has come to an end and I was wrong. 78-year-old Thomas Brady won his 7th ring. As I have said on this show many times before. I do not agree with his politics but I respect his achievements on the football field. Simply put, he is a winner. Patty Mahomes will have more opportunities but it wont be easy for him to climb back onto the top of the mountain.
2. NBA still playing and the more things change. The more they stay the same. Lakers remain the favorites out west. Utah is trying to make some noise but they do not have enough to take down LeBron, Davis, and the rest of the Lakers. Out east the Sixers are in the lead but Milwaukee and Brooklyn are not too far behind.
3. NCAAB. Will March madness return? I missed filling out my bracket last year. If they can navigate the covid-19 slippery slope we should be in for a fascinating tournament.
Entertainment/15 Minutes of Life.
1. You get to define your purpose. This life we are living in is the arena. And in order to survive one must adopt a mindset of Win or Die. You get to define your purpose. Now is the time to make the choice to rise out of the darkness. Yes we are living in difficult times. But it is up to you to throw away the alibis. Stop making excuses. Your preparations or lack there of will determine the final outcome. If you are ready to be successful, you must dismantle the and destroy the enemies within which consist of a mindset of laziness, procrastination, doubt, and fear. These are the poisons of resistance that will eventually take your life if you continue to allow them to feed you misinformation day in and day out. You get to define your purpose. Time to Move Your Life Forward 1/26/2021
Welcome to The Rush on Life:
This is the show where we continue to examine various topics, from politics, sports, entertainment, 15 minutes of life.
Its been awhile since last we conversed, and I would like to welcome you all back to The Rush on Life. And for those of you who are joining us for the very first time, thank you for stopping by. 2020 is gone and it is now time to move your life forward.
Politics:
1. President Joe Biden and Vice-President Kamala Harris. Congrats to both of you, but now it is time to get to work. It won’t be easy but no one ever said it would be.
2. Donald J Trump impeached again by the house, after his failed attempts to overturn the election resulted in his most loyal followers storming the capital. Their insurrection should not come as a surprise. Mr. Trump did not plant the original seeds of hatred and division but he has capitalized on the disillusioned masses that continue to choose hatred over love.
3. As the Corona virus continues to rage across our country, the Covid-19 vaccinations alone will not be enough to defeat this virus. We must remain vigilant. Wear your Mask. Socially distance yourself accordingly. Wash your hands. Covid-19 won’t leave on it’s own. God’s message is clear. It’s time that we atone.
Sports:
1. The NBA season is moving along outside of the bubble but the affect of the Virus is evident. Positive Covid-19 test have resulted in Postponements but still they march on. When it is all said and done will the Lakers defend their crown or will the new big 3 down in Brooklyn dethrone the King? Stay tuned.
2. College Football made thru the finish line and the day one favorite easily prevailed. Ohio State found redemption by manhandling Dabo and the Clemson Tigers but they were no match for Nick Saban and Alabama. It pains me to say it but I must. “Go Bama, Roll Tide.
3. In the NFL. And then there were two. Patrick Mahomes and The Kansas City Chiefs are attempting to go back-to-back and the only one standing in their way is the Relic himself 78-year-old Thomas Brady. This Super bowl is just what the league hoped for.
Entertainment/15 minutes of Life:
Time to move forward in your life. You do no have to remain trapped inside of a memory that is not coming back. You should not forget the good or the bad from your past but if you want to achieve real change in your life you must have the courage to move forward. You don’t have to wait for a sign. The solutions to your problems is already inside of you. To get to that next level you must start by believing in yourself and be brave enough to take the first step. It won’t be easy but don’t give up. You may fail. You may fall. But as long as you put in the work and keep believing in yourself, anything you put your mind to is possible. This message is for anyone who may feel weak. This message is for anyone who may feel broken. You have a gift inside of you and now is the time to dare to be great! Politics:
1. 4 days until the election. What is your vote plan? I voted by mail on October 9th
2. Democrats are still nervous. But this is not 2016.
3. Don’t stress over the polls. This will not be close.
4. If you choose not to vote then you must prefer the bullet.
Sports:
1. Congrats to the LA Dodgers for winning the World Series.
2. College Football keeps moving despite positive Covid-19 test.
3. NFL hasn’t changed. Jerry Jones releases player who is overweight and just so happened to kneel during the National Anthem. Dontari Poe only Cowboy player who kneeled this season.
4. Looking forward to Netflix six-episode series Colin in Black & White, Staring Jaden Michael. No premiere date yet. Props to Ava DuVernay and Michael Starrbury for their roles in making this project a reality.
Entertainment/15 Minutes of Life.
1. Time change should be pushed forward not backward considering this is the year of the Pandemic.
2. Covid-19 numbers continue to explode. 90,000 case per day in U.S. That equates to one new infection every second. 9.2 million infected In America. 230,000 dead!
3. What is so hard about wearing a mask? Thanks to the soon to be fired Agent Orange our response to this pandemic has cost far too many lives.
4. America you are the jury. The case is in your hands. Consider all the evidence and render a verdict that sends a clear and united message that we as a people will not accept another 4 years of hatred, injustice, and division.

Welcome to The Rush on Life
This is the show where we continue to discuss various topics from the world of Politics, Sports, Entertainment, 15 Minutes of Life.
Politics:
1. With less than six weeks to go Uncle Joe leads Agent Orange by 10 points nationally according to the latest Polls. Will it Matter in November?
2. Rip RBG. With her passing the battle to fill her seat has begun. Democrats want the Senate to wait until after the election. However that was not the case when President Obama was in office. Republicans and Agent Orange do not want to delay and that was not the Case a few years ago when the Dems had the Whitehouse. Both side are reminding the American people why the hypocrisy in Politics remains a huge turnoff to the American Electorate. Neither side can have it both ways.
3. The Virus is still winning. Over 7 million Americans infected. More than 205,000 lives lost. Agent orange and his base do not want to face the facts that people have died and are still dying. He is not solely responsible but his poor leadership has contributed to the deaths of far too many.
Sports:
1. NBA on the court are down to four teams (Miami v Boston) (Los Angeles v Denver) I believe the Lakers will win the title.
2. NBA Off the court. Many players with a platform continue to speak out against the racial injustices and systemic racism the remains intact inside the belly of the beast that is America. Despite the angst and disapproval from so many this generation of young activist who play sports will not just shut up and dribble.
3. The NFL is back to playing football and the protest have been mixed. From kneeling to locking arms and staying in the locker room during the playing of the National Anthem the league as a whole has not shown me anything different. Colin Kaepernick can’t get a tryout despite the injuries and poor play around the league at his position. And a number of you could care less as you are more worried about the point spread and your fantasy team. Despicable.
Entertainment/15 Minutes of Life.
!. Breonna Taylor should be alive and those who are responsible for her death should not be free to walk the streets like nothing happened. As many cry out and protest the latest display of racial injustice no one should be surprised by the verdict. This is America. I know for some of us this hurts but now is not the time to give up. Now is the time for Action! No more excuses or alibis get registered and make sure you Vote so your voice will be heard. Malcom told us years ago that it is the Ballot or The Bullet. Don’t allow divisive tactics to derail your efforts or dimmish your power. The right to peacefully protest is what we must continue to do. Hold others accountable by first getting your house in order. VOTE, VOTE VOTE!

- NBA playoffs have resumed after a 3-day boycott. Was it worth it and will it matter in the long run. Props to Kenny Smith. Props to Naomi Osaka. Props to all the other teams/players who took a time out to effect positive change.
2. Keep using your platform to demand positive change. We are way past the point of having a conversation. (George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, Elijah McClain, Rayshard brooks, Jacob Blake and the countless others who have taken too soon. And in Mr. Blakes case paralyzed for being Black.)
- As the football season nears will we see similar forms of protest from NFL and College football players as well?

Kyle Rittenhouse a 17-year-old White boy who killed two people is being praised by some on the right as a hero and Agent Orange has not denounced his actions and suggest that it may have been self-defense. NBA Bubble getting smaller a number of teams have been released from the house that Mickey Mouse built. In my mind the Lakers remain the favorite to win the chip.

Lebron James continues to speak out about the police brutality and systemic racism that continues to push our nation further apart.

Montrezl Harrell apologized to Luka Doncic for his white boy comments. Props to both but black people we can not have it both ways. If it were the other way around the commentary I have heard recently would be vastly different.

Thoughts and prayers go out to Jacob Blake after being shot multiple times in his back by racist police in Wisconsin. Paralyzed from the waist down according to his father.

First of all that’s why I made the argument that this is who we are here in America. Stop lying to yourself if you believe otherwise. Yes there are a number of police who protect and serve and put their lives on the line.

However when it comes to policing Black people and most especially black men there are way too many bad apple who are haunting us at every turn. I do not live in fear but I do worry about my son and millions of other black people who remain at risk and are not given the benefit of the doubt or equal protection under the law.

Congrats to Kamala Harris for earning her spot on the ticket. It is long overdue
We’re Off To See The Wizard.
**For all of my Black Brothers and Sisters who may have an issue with Kamala Harris not being Black enough? Taking issue with the fact that her Husband is a White Man. Miss me with all of that nonsense. Let me remind each of you of the fact that Mr. Obama’s Late mother was a white woman from the land of Dorothy. And for those of you who does not know where that is. "Toto we are not in Kansas anymore."
This is an historic moment in American History. The daughter of Jamaican and Indian immigrants will be one heartbeat away from the most powerful seat in the known world is astounding and long overdue. As our black blood continues to stain the concrete all across America, Kamala Harris is the right choice at the right time.
Don’t take this nomination for granted. Need I remind all of us that This not the time to be petty because our first choice was not put on the ticket. Get over it and have her Back. Like any politician and like all of us, nobody is perfect.**

Covid-19 Won’t leave on its own.
What’s up everybody Thanks for continuing to support the show. Also thank you in advance for continuing to spread the word about the rush on life. Just a quick programming note. We will be taking the show on the road and broadcasting from an undisclosed location later on this week.
No matter what you are hearing on television or throughout social media Covid-19 won’t leave on it’s own. We the people have to put aside our political differences and conspiracy theories and accept the truth that this Corona Virus is here to stay for a while. The reopening up process has been a disaster.
Yes some folks went back to work. Yes some businesses were able to resuscitate their livelihood. But at what cost? Agent Orange is trying to wish the Virus away and blame others but he cannot simply tweet his way to a vaccine.
People are dying. People are getting infected at an alarming rate. And while the pandemic has pulled back the curtain and forced America to see that the healthcare system as it is presently constructed is indeed a part of the systemic racism that continues to erode the foundation of our democracy.
Yes far too many of our Black and Brown citizens have been dealing with the underlying conditions that infection may lead to death. However the aforementioned factors are not the only reason Blacks and Browns are dying from Covid-19 at a much higher rate than their white counter parts.
Poverty, inhumane living conditions, Limited and inadequate access to quality healthcare which is affordable for impoverished communities of color contribute greatly to the disproportionate amount of Blacks and Browns who are loosing their battle to covid-19 at a significantly higher rate than whites.
Covid-19 doesn’t care what the color of your skin is but our society does. And while the color of your skin is not the only consideration, but it is a determining factor as it relates to the type of care one may or may not receive.
Long before Covid-19 arrived minorities were and still are mistreated by our healthcare systems as a whole.
