Born in Tokyo, Kotaro Fukuma has displayed limitless potential, clinching prestigious awards in international competitions. His career flourished after winning the First Prize and the Chopin Prize at the 15th Cleveland International Piano Competition at the age of 20. Currently, he tours five continents, including Asia, Africa, Europe, North and South America. Kotaro’s mentors include Mitsuko Uchida, Richard Goode and Maria Joao Pires. He performs in major concert venues, and works with the world’s finest orchestras and conductors. Kotaro has released eighteen commercial CDs (several released by renowned labels like Naxos) and often appears in music magazines like Gramophone. Jazz musician Jeremy Monteiro and the singing group Stardust will be performing at Jeremy's upcoming concert at the Esplanade Concert Hall on 1st & 2nd of July 2022 to celebrate Jeremy's 45 years of music making. The concert is called "45 RPM - Jeremy's Jazz Journal" and Stardust is one of the acts that will be performing at this show. On Episode 58 of The Sensitive Man podcast, Simon Lim speaks to Jeremy Monteiro and some of the members of the singing group Stardust - Ann Hussein, Pat Chan, Jacintha and Gerry Rezel.
The group Stardust emerged from a local musical of the same name in 1978. The musical was written, produced and directed by Pat Chan. Some of the cast continued to perform together as Stardust, and they sang favourites and standards of the 30s, 40s and 50s. The original six were Jacintha Abishegenaden, Gerry Rezel, Faridah Ali, Farid Ali, Robert Fernando and Pat Chan. The group later included Clement Chow and Ann Hussein. Stardust then collaborated with the young, emerging talent Jeremy Monteiro, who crafted wonderful arrangements for Stardust.

Death is a subject that most people avoid having conversations about, even with loved ones. So let's be open to having conversations about it. In Episode 18 of The Sensitive Man Podcast, Simon Lim speaks to Chilean-born Eugenia Gajardo, who is an Artist, Counsellor and Psychotherapist with a terminal illness known as Interstitial Lung Disease and Traction Bronchiectasis. The inability of Eugenia’s lungs to produce enough oxygen requires her to wear a breathing tube connected to oxygen supply. Her lungs are progressively failing on her. Prior to the interview, she had to have 20mg of Oramorph, a form of morphine to help her to be stable. She opens up to Simon about living before death and shares a heart-to-heart conversation about the meaning of life, the need to detach oneself from material things and celebrating life before death. Eugenia gives insights to her reaction upon being diagnosed and talks about her life, her relationship with her daughter, and having a sense of humour in looking at physical challenges. Meet German-Slovenian singer-songwriter Ramona Irgolic in Episode 9 of The Sensitive Man Podcast.
