Hey Fam! Please note this episode was recorded prior to the United State's final withdrawal from Afghanistan, on August 30th, 2021. Please see below for some quick updates on Afghanistan:
US Airstrikes were dropped in Afghanistan targeting ISIS, in response to a suicide bomber attack at the Kabul Airport that killed 13 honorable U.S. service members.
As of our final withdrawal on August 30th, hundreds of US citizens are said to still be in Afghanistan, including some college students that could not make it to the airport in time. There are also reports of rescue planes that were turned around and people re-released back into Afghanistan as planes were not permitted to land in partner countries, such as Macedonia. The US does not plan on returning to Afghanistan, and the Pentagon has admitted they were not able to withdraw all US citizens, as originally promised by the President.
