The second episode of our Christmas trilogy is the much-anticipated release of a supplemental episode with Gregg reading Matthew 1-2 and Luke 1:1-2:21!
Too lazy or busy to read? Look, I am literally a professional librarian. You have my permission to consume content through your earholes, and if this helps one person follow along more effectively it's worth it. Merry Christmas!
Episode 1 of an accidental Christmas trilogy, in which Gregg interviews a Maria he knows. Is the Church for everyone?
100% of the participants in this interview suggest you consider supporting Covenant House this Christmas. Covenant House builds a bridge to hope for young people facing homelessness and survivors of trafficking through unconditional love, absolute respect, and relentless support. Don't tell Andy but releasing this chat was the backup-backup plan for today's solemnity, The Assumption.
Plan A was Episoder 0.14, which iis rolling along with a hopeful ETA of "later this month", but I'm only going to formally commit to more content to commemorate All Saint's Day, November 1st.
Plan B ran out of time because 24 hours a day wasn't enough time to listen to all the podcasts inspired by Rex Factor. More on that later--AFTER 0.14, which WILL be the next thing on this feed, whether on 11/1/22 or before.
Apologies for the lack of proper intro and close edit, naturally going with Plan C was inspired by a lack of ability to get everything as done as I'd like...
This discussion took place in June 2021 and was the sound test for the purpose-built studio. Actual discussion of masons vaguely starts after the 11 minute mark.
Thanks Andy (and Patrick, who starts us off!)
Gregg teases "something", light on details, except noting that updates will start coming based on Solemnities rather than simply monthly, so the next one will be August 15th, the Feast of the Assumption.
Oh and happy anniversary!
Gregg talks The Nativity of John the Baptist, The Sacred Heart, Abortion, and the Te Deum.
We'll know soon enough whether a kooky pet theory of mine holds up. Meanwhile, Bry hopes it doesn't. Special guest topics include Pope Michael!

Interview with Catherine, 6, about My Little Pony, because she wanted to and she was good.
My interview with Patrick Gassman, who had his First Holy Communion today and wanted to talk about it on the podcast in an interview. He named this episode and helped with editing too, so thank you for everything Patrick, and congratulations again on your First Communion!
Around 6:30 PM Rome Time, Pope Francis will be consecrating Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Pope Francis has invited the participation of all the bishops and the faithful throughout the world to participate, so Mrs. Popeular History has joined me to help give you an audio pray-along special.
5'44" Consecration (w/repeat)

Full disclosure: I didn't hear the intro until today, and may I say: It's Popetastic! Huge thanks to Billy for that and all his audio tutoring, to Russ for our logo, to Isaac for addressing our mysterious lack of voice recordings of Jesus, to the history podcasting community that's been so welcoming, to Mrs. Popeular History for her incredible patience, and to Our Lady, to whom this show is dedicated. Totus Tuus, Maria!
