As the season wraps up the leagues begin to give us even more drama! In this episode we cover the Europa League final that saw Frankfurt win their first European title in over 20 years, beating Rangers 5-4 on penalties. The Premier League top 4 is going down to the wire with a battle between the 2 clubs from North London while the blue side of merseyside escape relegation in the craziest fashion!!
Exciting week for footy as the season is wrapping up! Manchester City made a big money move by finally signing Harland from Dortmund. We discuss if we think he will strive in the Premier League or not. The North London Derby takes place today so we've concocted a starting XI as this game will be impossible to predict. Finally we end off the discussion by going over the 3 European finals coming up and who we believe will win.
What a Champions League Semi Final!!!! Liverpool go down early 2-0 to Villarreal who tie up the leg only for them to come out guns blazing in the second half and win the match 3-2. Meanwhile in Madrid, City take a 1 goal lead with 10 minutes to go only for Real Madrid to score 2 goals in the 90th minute and go on to win the leg in extra time! Rematch of the 2018 Champions League final, here we go!
This week we go over the Champions League Semi-Final where Manchester City took on Real Madrid and Liverpool beat Villarreal. Manchester City continue their unstoppable form but Benzema and Madrid did not go down easy. Bayern Munich continue to destroy the Bundesliga by winning their 10th title in a row and Everton look like they're on the brink of relegation.
JAM Packed episode this week with lots of discussion points. FIFA are set to introduce 100 minute World Cup games. We go over the World Cup draw and give our predictions for who's making it out of the group. Champions league was also very exciting with Benzema scoring another hat trick, Villarreal beating Bayern and Liverpool and City taking care of business. We also go over the top 4 battle as the season approaches its end!
International Break! Definitely one of the more exciting one's we've had in recent times. In this episode we discuss Canada qualifying for the World Cup for the first time in 38 years, Macedonia almost surpassing Italy and Portugal, the Laser fest in Africa and much more banter. It was a short weekend of footy with not many matches in the Premier League. We go over how Arsenal and Tottenham fair in the top 4 battle as well as Leeds miraculous comeback against Wolves. We touch a bit on the El Clasico that saw Barcelona batter Madrid as well as two news headlines introduced by UEFA today!
In this weeks episode we review the previous week of Champions League. Real Madrid came back to beat PSG 3-1 at home due to a Benzema Hat trick, Liverpool squeeze through, United fall to Atletico and Ajax get knocked out. In the Premier League, City drew to Palace, making the title race that much closer and making the match against Liverpool on April 10th that much more exciting.

On this weeks episode we discuss the Premier League Matchweek 31 fixtures. Manchester City unexpectedly lost 2-1 to Leeds with both goals coming from Leeds defender Stuart Dallas. Liverpool got their revenge against Aston Villa from that 7-2 defeat earlier this season. Chelsea continue to be dominant under Tuchel by dealing with Palace 4-1. Tottenham and Manchester United was an exciting match with some VAR controversy but at the end United were victorious with Tottenham's top 4 hopes looking out of reach. Lacazette and Arsenal easily handle Sheffield to remain in the top 10. Outside the Premier League, Real Madrid took on Barcelona in the El Clasico with Real Madrid looking more dangerous throughout the whole match and coming out on top 2-1 to push to second in La Liga.
Dortmund come short against Manchester City over 2 legs with some great goals from Bellingham and Foden in the tie. Liverpool aren't able to beat Real Madrid once again in the Champions League. PSG get their revenge from last years final against Bayern Munich with some brilliant performances from Neymar and Mbappe. Welcome to the first ever podcast episode of the Failed Footballers Show! Starting off near the end of season, this episode will recap all of the Premier League action in Match Week 30.
