On today's episode, we talk with the man who saved his dog from the jaws of an alligator, Richard Wilbanks.(22:15) Richard and his dog Gunner were walking by a pond in Florida when an alligator jumped out and snatched little Gunner. Without hesitation, Richard jumped in the water, grabbed the alligator, and wrestled little Gunner out of the clutches of gator's mouth...all while keeping his cigar in his mouth. A true hero! The video of Richard's feat went viral and he's on our show today to talk about what the last couple of months have been like for him and Gunner.
On today's episode, to commemorate the 57th anniversary of the assassination of JFK, we talk with Buell Wesley Frazier. On November 22, 1963, Buell gave Lee Harvey Oswald (and a suspicious package)a ride into work at the Texas School Book Depository in Dallas. What started out as a normal day for 19-year-old Buell, turned into a chaotic scene that altered the course of his life - and changed the world. We had the privilege of talking with Buell and he shares his vivid memories of the day and his relationship with Oswald. We also get to hear from his son, Rob, as they share about Buell's upcoming book, "Steering Truth".

Eddie caught a pass against Auburn in 1988 that literally caused an earthquake...and that catch cemented him as a legend in LSU history. Growing up, he was a hero to all of us and we had a great time catching up with him. He told us about the how he got to LSU (he almost went to another school!), the camaraderie with his teammates, and of course, the catch that shook Death Valley. (31:44)
The "Earthquake Game" was definitely a highlight for the LSU Tigers, but what we witnessed this past Saturday was...the opposite of that. We break down the debacle that was the 2020 Auburn game and try to think of new names for it.

Todd played in the late 80s and early 90s at LSU and was one of the brightest stars in some not-so-memorable seasons. LSU fans remember his zig-zagging TD reception against Texas A&M and his flashy punt returns. He went on to play seven seasons in the NFL, playing with the Rams, Broncos, and Falcons. He’s a great guy and he shares some great memories with us.
We also touch on the current state of College Football in the Covid era. Can we hold on to the season without everyone opting out?!?

On today's episode, someone has a fever, and the only prescription is more podcast! We've been following the COVID-19 pandemic closely since the very beginning of this show...and today we get an up-close and personal look at the effects of this infectious disease.
We start off talking about the new mask mandate in Baton Rouge (3:39) and encourage everyone to wear a mask, which you can get in our SWOTS shop (9:00)! We then call up our good friend of the show, Dr. T (Dr. Tatiana Saavedra of the Baton Rouge Clinic), and get a check up on the symptoms she's been feeling (11:02). Matt does a quick diagnosis, and it's....different than what we thought - and a little more serious (15:04). We talk with Dr. T about how easily this virus can spread (23:12), but more importantly, how painful it really is...it's NOT just a flu (25:53). She stresses again the importance of wearing masks not just to protect ourselves, but everyone around us (30:30).
She is a really good sport for coming on our podcast and talking about this. We like to think that laughter is the "best medicine", so we invited her back on to lift her spirits as she deals with the disease and its symptoms.

He made us laugh when we were growing up in Baton Rouge, so we invited him to talk with us on his first podcast appearance ever!

On today's episode, we talk with LSU Football legend Charles Alexander about his years playing at LSU and his thoughts on today's game. Charles (nicknamed "Alexander the Great") played at LSU in the late 70s and went on to play in the NFL. He is also a 2-time All American and a member of the College Football Hall of Fame.
