Red light therapy has rapidly become one of the most talked-about technologies in health and recovery, but what is it actually doing inside the body, and how do we separate evidence-based therapy from clever marketing?
In this episode of the Revital Health Podcast, I speak with Matt Camenzuli, physiotherapist and Fringe Education Director.
After more than a decade working across musculoskeletal, sports, disability and aged-care settings, Matt began noticing the same pattern in clinic. People living with pain and inflammation wanted accessible options that could complement their treatment, support recovery and be used consistently at home.
This clinical gap led Matt into the world of red and near-infrared light therapy, also known as photobiomodulation.
Matt explains the science in an easy-to-understand way, including how specific wavelengths of light interact with the mitochondria, support cellular energy production and influence circulation, oxidative stress, inflammation and tissue recovery.
We discuss:
• What photobiomodulation is and how it works
• The difference between red light, near-infrared light, blue light, lasers and ultraviolet light
• Why red-light therapy is not simply a new health trend
• How light may support pain management, injury recovery and physical performance
• Why stronger devices and higher intensity are not necessarily better
• The importance of wavelength, dose, distance and treatment duration
• What to consider when choosing an at-home red-light device
• Emerging applications in concussion, neurological health and cognitive function
• Why women’s pelvic pain continues to be underdiagnosed and undertreated
• The emerging role of red-light technology in pelvic and women’s health
• How red-light therapy may become more widely integrated into physiotherapy, allied health and mainstream clinical care
Matt also shares the process of creating Fringe’s range of accessible, home-based red-light devices and why safety, regulatory compliance, ease of use and practitioner education have remained central to the company’s development.
This is a practical and informative conversation for anyone curious about red-light therapy, whether you are living with pain, supporting recovery, exploring women’s health options or simply trying to understand what makes one device different from another.

What if improving your sleep, mood, energy and metabolic health began not with another supplement, but with changing the light around you?
In this episode of The Revital Health Podcast, Jodi Duval is joined by Daniel White and Jai Kapoor, co-founders of In Rhythm, to explore the emerging science of chronobiology and the profound relationship between light, our environment and human health.
Daniel is a Registered Nutritionist, Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach and Applied Quantum Biology Certified Health Practitioner, with extensive research and clinical experience in sleep science, circadian biology and human behaviour change.
Jai brings a very different but complementary perspective from his career as a senior executive within the artificial intelligence and technology sectors. He has helped build and scale several high-growth technology companies from their early stages, including Wayve AI and Revolut.
Daniel and Jai both arrived at this work through deeply personal health experiences.
Daniel describes experiencing significant circadian disruption during adolescence after years of late-night screen use, technology addiction, poor sleep, weight gain, anxiety and declining mental health. His search for answers led him into nutrition, psychology, functional medicine, circadian biology and photobiology.
Jai’s demanding career in artificial intelligence, finance and technology involved long working hours, chronic pressure and a highly stimulating lifestyle. After suddenly developing severe psoriasis, he explored a range of conventional and holistic approaches with limited success. It was only after changing his relationship with natural and artificial light that he began to experience significant improvements in his skin, sleep and wider health.
This experience became the catalyst for his work with Daniel and the creation of In Rhythm.
Together, Jodi, Daniel and Jai explore why light is one of the body’s most important environmental time signals and why modern life can create such a significant mismatch between our biology and our surroundings.
In this conversation, they discuss:
• Why circadian health involves much more than sleep
• How light helps regulate the body’s internal clocks
• Why bright, blue-enriched artificial light can keep the body in a perpetual “midday” state
• The potential effects of invisible light flicker on the brain and nervous system
• Why infrared light is an important component of natural light
• How indoor lighting may affect sleep, mood, energy and cellular repair
• Why children can be particularly sensitive to evening light
• The relationship between screen exposure, melatonin, sleep and behaviour
• Practical ways to improve a child’s evening light environment
• Morning light, UVA, UVB and gradually developing tolerance to sunlight
• Skin health, psoriasis and the timing of light exposure
• Why sunlight should be approached with respect rather than fear
• How eating earlier can support circadian and metabolic alignment
• Habit stacking light exposure, outdoor meals, movement and grounding
• In Rhythm’s LIGHTER framework for circadian health
• The Better Sleep Bulb and the limitations of conventional indoor LEDs
• The future of biologically coherent homes, schools, workplaces and healthcare environments
The LIGHTER framework includes:
L — Light first thing in the morning
Get outside as early as practical and allow natural morning light to reach the eyes and skin.
I — Include UVA
Gradually include appropriate natural light exposure as UVA becomes available during the day.
G — Gather UVB
When appropriate for your skin type, location and UV conditions, obtain measured UVB exposure without allowing the skin to burn.
H — Harness evening light
Use the natural light at the end of the day to help communicate to the body that daytime is finishing.
T — Turn off artificial light at night
Reduce bright overhead lighting, blue-enriched lighting and unfiltered screens during the evening.
E — Earth or ground
Spend time barefoot on natural surfaces or in natural water where safe and practical.
R — Regular early meal timings
Maintain consistent meal timing and aim to finish the final meal several hours before sleep.
This conversation offers a powerful reminder that health does not always need to be forced. When the appropriate environmental conditions are restored, the body may be better able to regulate, repair and return to rhythm.

This podcast is provided for educational purposes and does not replace individual medical advice. Sun and ultraviolet exposure should be approached carefully according to skin type, geographical location, UV index, medications, medical history and individual skin cancer risk. Avoid sunburn and seek personalised guidance where appropriate.
In this episode of The Revital Health Podcast, Jodi Duval sits down with Dr Nayan Patel, clinical pharmacist, founder of Auro Wellness, and author of The Glutathione Revolution, for a deep conversation on hormone health, personalised medicine, glutathione and cellular resilience.
Hormone health is one of the most talked-about topics in health right now, but also one of the most misunderstood. With so much information circulating around HRT, menopause, testosterone, progesterone, oestrogen, peptides and “optimal ranges”, it can be difficult to know what is genuinely useful and what is simply noise.
Dr Patel brings a pharmacist’s precision to the conversation, explaining why hormone therapy should never be treated as a one-size-fits-all solution. Instead of chasing numbers alone, he encourages a more outcome-focused approach that considers symptoms, physiology, lifestyle, stress, insulin, thyroid function, hormone metabolism and long-term health goals.
In this episode, we explore:
This episode is a reminder that true health optimisation is not about outsourcing your health to a single product, prescription or test result. It is about understanding the body’s signals, reducing the noise, and supporting the foundations that allow the body to do what it is designed to do.

In this episode of the Revital Health Podcast, Jodi is joined by the Revital practitioner team to introduce the new Revital Reset Programs.
These 12-week programs have been designed to give people a more complete and personalised approach to gut health, thyroid health and fertility optimisation.
Rather than relying on generic advice, social media trends or isolated testing, the Reset Programs combine functional pathology, practitioner insight, education, downloadable resources and personalised recommendations.
Inside this conversation, the team explores:
• Why gut symptoms can be connected to skin, mood, inflammation, restless legs, fatigue and brain fog
• Why IBS is often used as a broad label without enough investigation into gut function
• Why functional gut testing can reveal issues such as inflammation, permeability, digestive dysfunction and microbiome imbalance
• Why standard thyroid testing can miss key issues when only TSH is checked
• The importance of T3, T4, thyroid antibodies, iron, zinc, selenium, iodine and other thyroid cofactors
• Why “normal” pathology ranges are not always the same as optimal function
• Why the 90-day preconception window matters for egg and sperm health
• Why fertility preparation should involve both partners, not just the female partner
• Why AMH is only one part of the fertility picture and should not be used as the sole marker of possibility
• Why personalised care matters more than generic supplement kits
• The difference between self-guided support and practitioner-guided clinical support
This episode is a beautiful introduction to why the Revital Reset Programs were created and how they can help people understand their body, advocate for their health and take meaningful action.
The key message: your body is not broken. With the right information, testing and support, you can begin to reset, rebuild and optimise.

In this episode of the Revital Health Podcast, Jodi speaks with Dr Clint Phillips, founder of Medici, about the urgent need to shift healthcare from reactive disease management to true prevention.
Clint’s journey into healthcare began personally, shaped by family illness and later by his daughter’s stroke, which exposed the painful reality of delayed access, fragmented systems and how difficult it can be to find the right specialist at the right time.
From building a clinic that helped people avoid unnecessary back surgery, to founding 2nd.MD and connecting patients with leading medical experts, Clint has spent his career asking one central question:
What if we could help people earlier?
Now, through Medici, Clint is building a preventative, personalised and AI-supported healthcare ecosystem designed to help people identify risk, optimise health and take action before disease takes hold.
This conversation explores the future of medicine, the role of AI, the power of early data, and why the foundations of health remain some of the most powerful interventions we have.
In this episode, we discuss:
Key takeaways:
About Dr Clint Phillips
Dr Clint Phillips is a healthcare entrepreneur and founder of Medici, a preventative healthcare model combining advanced health data, medical expertise and AI-supported personalisation. Originally from South Africa, Clint built a global reputation as a clinician before founding 2nd.MD, a company designed to connect patients with leading medical specialists. After seeing how often people entered the system too late, he turned his focus toward prevention, longevity and building what he describes as one of the world’s healthiest communities.
Listen now to learn how healthcare could change when we stop waiting for disease and start building health earlier.

Endometriosis affects millions of women worldwide, yet many still experience years of pain, dismissal, delayed diagnosis and uncertainty around fertility, treatment options and long-term support.
In this episode of The Revital Health Podcast, Jodi is joined by Chanae Brookes for a deeper conversation on endometriosis, fertility and the vaginal microbiome.
Together, they explore why endometriosis should not be viewed as simply a reproductive condition, but as a complex inflammatory, immune and whole-body condition that can influence pelvic pain, bowel function, hormone signalling, fertility, implantation and quality of life.
A key focus of this episode is the role of the vaginal microbiome. Jodi and Chanae discuss how Lactobacillus dominance, vaginal pH, microbial balance and pelvic inflammation may all play a role in reproductive health, especially for women navigating endometriosis or preparing for conception.
They also discuss the importance of:

In this episode of the Revital Health Podcast, Jodi Duval sits down with Kyle Zagrodzky, Founder and CEO of OsteoStrong, to explore why bone health deserves a much bigger place in conversations about longevity, strength and health optimisation.
Bone is often reduced to calcium, vitamin D and osteoporosis risk, but as Kyle explains, bone is dynamic, responsive and deeply connected to the nervous system, hormones, muscle, balance, metabolism and ageing.
Jodi and Kyle discuss osteogenic loading, the science of mechanotransduction, how targeted skeletal loading differs from traditional resistance training, and why many people are not receiving enough stimulus to maintain or improve bone density across the lifespan.
They also explore:
Kyle also shares the origin story of OsteoStrong, his personal experience with chronic pain, the early challenges of creating a new category in health and fitness, and why he believes skeletal strength conditioning could have major implications for future generations.
This conversation is especially relevant for women in perimenopause and menopause, athletes, practitioners, parents, older adults, and anyone interested in maintaining independence, resilience and strength as they age.

We spend so much time talking about health, longevity and optimisation — yet almost no time preparing for the one experience we are all guaranteed to face: death.
In this deeply powerful and emotional episode, I sit down with Cara Walker — independent funeral director, celebrant and death doula — who is redefining how we approach death, dying and grief in modern culture.
From her journey as an eco-fairy to founding a more human, personalised approach to funeral care, Cara shares what is missing from the current system — and why reclaiming ritual, touch, and connection is essential for true healing.
We explore how death has been removed from the home and outsourced to systems, how this impacts the grieving process, and what it actually looks like to support someone through a conscious, dignified end-of-life experience.
This conversation is not just about death.
It’s about how we live, how we love, and how we prepare for what is inevitable.
What We Cover* Why death is the last major taboo in modern Western culture * How the funeral industry has shifted away from community-based care * The role of a death doula and what end-of-life support should look like * Why removing touch, presence and ritual complicates grief * The physiological and emotional process of dying * How to support loved ones during the final stages of life * The importance of normalising death conversations within families * How children process grief and why inclusion matters * The difference between traditional funerals and personalised rituals * Voluntary assisted dying and curated end-of-life experiences * Practical ways to prepare for death before crisis hits
Key Takeaways* Death is not just a medical event — it is a deeply human, relational and emotional process * Avoiding death conversations often leads to increased trauma and confusion during grief * Touch, presence and witnessing are critical components of healing * Supporting someone through death requires unlearning many instinctive caregiving behaviours * Ritual and personalisation can significantly change how grief is experienced and processed * Preparing for death is one of the most powerful acts of love we can offer our families
About Cara WalkerCara Walker is an independent funeral director, celebrant and death doula based in Perth, Western Australia.
With over 30 years as an eco-fairy and community figure, Cara transitioned into death care after witnessing the limitations and lack of compassion within the traditional funeral system.
She is the founder of Walker Family Funerals, where she provides personalised, community-led funeral services and advocates for more natural, conscious approaches to death care — including education, home-based dying, and reform around end-of-life options.

Final NoteThis episode may bring up emotion — and that’s the point.
Death is not something to avoid.
It is something to understand, prepare for, and honour.
And in doing so, we often find a deeper appreciation for life itself.

What if better movement was not about punishing your body, but learning to trust it again?
In this episode, Jodi sits down with movement coach Ben Verrier for a rich conversation on movement, resilience, recovery, nutrition and longevity. Together they unpack why personalised movement matters, how to build a body that feels capable and adaptable, and why more people need to think beyond conventional exercise advice.
They discuss the role of plyometrics, handstands, barefoot training, outdoor movement, morning routines, nutrition and the importance of asking better questions when it comes to pain, injury and performance.
This episode is a reminder that movement should not make your world smaller. It should expand it.
Key takeaways:1. There is almost always something you can do to improve how your body feels 2. Movement is not just exercise — it is feedback, adaptability and confidence 3. Small, consistent movement habits can create major change over time 4. Training should be individualised, not one-size-fits-all 5. Nutrition and recovery need to support your output, not work against it

In this episode of The Revital Health Podcast, Jodi Duval is joined by Chanae Brookes, for a cycle-aware conversation on female training, performance and recovery.
Together they unpack what can shift across the follicular phase, ovulation and luteal phase, and how these hormonal and physiological changes may influence insulin sensitivity, inflammation, pain tolerance, perceived exertion, recovery demand and injury risk.
They also explore what can happen when women overtrain, underfuel and live under chronic stress, including protective endocrine suppression patterns that may show up as cycle disruption, reduced ovulation signalling, impaired recovery, mood changes and downstream performance decline.
The conversation covers practical takeaways for women who train, including cycle tracking as a readiness report, the value of biofeedback over rigid programs, and a grounded discussion about the oral contraceptive pill in sport. The episode closes with a timely discussion on creatine: potential benefits, why dosing needs to be individualised, and why lab markers and kidney function context matters when supplementation trends go mainstream.

In this episode, Jodi Duval is joined by Lindsay Hilder, body therapist with over 25 years of clinical experience and Co-Director of the EMMETT Technique International, to explore a unique, results-based approach to manual therapy used worldwide across humans and animals.
The EMMETT Technique is a light-touch neuromuscular release method designed to work with the body’s own intelligence rather than force change. It is results-based rather than time-based, highly precise, and intentionally inclusive rather than exclusive, meaning it can stand alone or integrate seamlessly with other therapies.
Lindsay shares the lineage of the technique from founder Ross Emmett, how EMMETT points are identified and applied, and why timing, precision, and practitioner presence matter just as much as technique.
In this episode, we explore:1. What the EMMETT Technique is (and what it is not) 2. Light-touch neuromuscular release and its effects on posture, pain, function and lymphatics 3. The “body electrician” analogy and indirect access points 4. Why timing matters: sedating rather than irritating the nervous system 5. Results-based treatment versus fixed session lengths 6. Breaking Self Pleasure Stigma and Embracing Sexual Wellness with Myilo Pleasure Essentials.
Claire and Luciana found the idea to create a visually appealing self pleasure line after describing to their friends the overwhelming joy of finding the inner g-spot, to then find out that the friends were unsure if they had ever orgasmed before, and that they had“never” masturbated. It brought the questions to light as to why women do not talk comfortably about self-pleasure? Why is it not a naturalised topic of conversation? Why is this topic taboo and why there is a stigma surrounding this sensual gift of pleasure? They are passionate about pleasure, learning, and growing alongside their customers to bring sexual wellness to the world.
We discuss: Behind the brand Why the name My ILO ? What was important in creating the brand the ethos? How is sexual health and wellness is important? Myths around pleasure toys? Tips and tricks for sexual health.

HEALTH OPTIMISATION MEDICINE AND PRACTICE! THE FIRST MULTI - OMICS CLINICAL SPECIALTY WITH A DIFFERENCE!
Creating a standard of care in health, not disease.
Back on the show is the amazing Dr Ted Achacoso. The genius..Dr Ted as he is affectionately known as, is an incredible human being, who I was immediately fascinated by, for reasons not only that he has an incredible IQ, but because of his beliefs, his amazing way of being a fearless leader and mentor to all that he comes in contact with, but also for his humour and sense of fun and lightheartedness.
I’m very lucky to be able to work with Dr Ted as his CEO of HOMeHOPe here in Australia, a non for profit organisation.
We chat -
Pioneered in the Philippines over a decade ago, Health Optimization Medicine (HOMe, for physicians) and Health Optimization Practice (HOPe, for non-physician health care practitioners) is the first and only multi-omics clinical specialty that defines and delivers the standard of care in health, not disease.
A self-paced online course on “Essential Health Optimization Medicine and Practice.” This has just been completed with seven modules (the Seven Pillars of HOMe/HOPe --- Clinical Metabolomics, Bioenergetics (Mitochondria), Gut-Immune System (Microbiota), Clinical Exposomics, Epigenetics, Chronobiology, and Evolutionary Medicine), along with the accompanying certification pathways and CME credits. A global effort is being made by Health Optimization Medicine and Practice Association (a US-based, tax-exempt, not-for-profit organization) to train physicians and non-physician health care providers in this new clinical framework. It is during the one-on-one virtual preceptorships that local clinical metabolomics lab options and vetted supplement sources are discussed, as their availability are country-dependent. The global effort currently extends to Europe, UK, Australia, US, and Asia.
About Dr Ted: Dr. Ted Achacoso attained a college degree in biology at the age of 18 and a doctor of medicine at the age of 22. He is the founding pioneer of the clinical practice of Health Optimisation Medicine and Practice (HOMe/HOPe), which is the detection and correction of imbalances at the level of the metabolome.
He was mentored by Thierry Hertoghe, the founding pioneer of anti-aging medicine and nutritional medicine (Dr. Ted is double board-certified, Paris) as well as William S. Yamamoto, artificial intelligence researcher and the founding pioneer of Medical Informatics. He was also mentored by D. Wayne Silby, the founding pioneer of Socially Responsible Investing and Finance and by three Philippine pioneers in interventional neuroradiology, neurology, and pharmacology/toxicology.

Limitless lucid states! Have your mind blown with Willow Francis! Episode 52!
You asked for it! We got it! All about the lucid states
This is a deeeep one! Get ready to have your mind blown!
The out-of-body state involves the feeling of one’s body floating, standing and walking outside of the physical body one identifies with while awake. This experience is usually attained while in a state somewhere between waking and sleeping. It is different from a dream. All the senses are heightened, hyperreal – one is lucid, conscious and aware.
It is a whole new reality to navigate, to maintain focus in and transcend the limits of day to day rationale in relating to one’s environment. With skill, you can dive deeply into this incredibly mystical state which once seemed a realm only for the mystical elite.
About Willow: During a serious, life-threatening accident, Willow Francis suddenly found himself outside of his physical body. He watched the horrific events happen to his body as if he was another person in the crowd. This moment fundamentally changed his understanding of reality. Willow later learned that the shock and pain of the event had jolted him involuntarily into an Out of Body state. During the weeks following the accident, Willow practiced breath work and meditation to deal with the intense pain of the healing process. Several times he again found himself in spontaneous out-of-body experiences. In these states his senses were hyper real – he could feel, touch, taste and smell. These experiences propelled Willow on a journey to seek explanation and understanding. He travelled to various parts of the world researching the latest findings on the science of Lucid Dreaming and the Out of Body State. Willow has since experienced many spontaneous and intentional alternate states through the practices he learned. He has experienced powerful physical, mental and spiritual benefits from being in the states. Willow now runs workshops and holds presentations to inspire others and share a practical understanding of this profound phenomenon which he describes as one of the most incredible things you can experience in this lifetime.
Willow has been a licensed trainer and coach for The HeartMath Institute for the past 6 years. Prior to this, his journey has taken him around the world to study with shamans, spiritual teachers and esteemed practitioners in the areas of personal and spiritual growth and optimal health and wellness. He has been an emergency room nurse and military paramedic - he is committed to grounding spiritual practices into genuine depth and practical action He has also been holding Cacao Ceremonies in Perth regularly for the past decade.

Stronger Than Stigma for Mental Health with Gabrielle Magid
Modern day discussion talks more about bodily health than it does about mental health.
Discussing mental health has far reaching healing potential including healing of our bodies, relationships, joy, passion and fulfilment.
In this episode:
Stronger than stigma.. what does this mean?
How did stronger than stigma start?
The biggest mental health challenge with students?
The worlds stigma around mental health including being OK (even if we are not)?
How can we change this?
What is stronger than stigma doing to make changes?
What can we do everyday for our mental health!
About Stronger than stigma and Gabrielle: @strongerthanstigma https://strongerthanstigma.org
Gabrielle Magid, Millennial Mental Health Strategist | Experience Designer | Community Builder | Founder & CEO of Stronger Than Stigma®️
Back in 2013 Gabrielle, a then a student at The University of Florida, noticed that despite free counseling being offered on college campuses, students weren’t going. Some didn’t want to be judged. Others didn’t know where to go. So students struggled alone and in silence. It wasn’t any better in the real world with the added stress of “adulting”– young professionals struggled, too. Back then, just talking about the subject of mental health was brave. Then it became trendy. But we needed more than talk. We needed to connect. We needed action and advocacy. Stronger Than Stigma®️ was born. And it’s growing. From college campuses and beyond, we they are joining forces, sharing ideas and supporting one another like never before.
Stronger than stigma stands by wanting to live in a world without stigma, where asking for help is considered a strength and not a weakness. Their goal is to make this a universal truth: There is strength in asking for help.
Their mission is to empower, inspire, and support those struggling with mental health issues. They are here for the people who care about them. If we can start the conversation that normalizes these struggles and makes reaching out for help less intimidating, then we can encourage more people to help themselves.

Water video and recipe as mentioned in the podcast
https://tusolwellness.com/2020/05/12/how-to-magnesium-bicarbonate/
Magnesium Bicarbonate Recipe: Ingredients • 1 pinch of potassium bicarbonate • 1 pinch of calcium carbonate • 1/2 tsp magnesium hydroxide • 1pinch aluminum-free sodium bicarbonate • 1 liter of cold reverse osmosis water Tools: • Soda maker • CO2 Cartridges (I found them in bulk here) • 2 32 oz Mason Jars Directions: It is important that the water is very cold. Keep the water in the refrigerator at least 12 hours prior to starting this recipe. 1. Infuse water with CO2 from the soda maker. Transfer the carbonated water to the mason jars in equal parts. Seal them right away. 2. Open one jar at a time and add potassium, close lids tightly right away to not let the carbonation out. Shake jars on top of the sink. 3. Open them again, one at a time and add the calcium, close the lids and shake, repeat the process with the rest of the ingredients. 4. Keep them sealed in the fridge for 24 hours or until water becomes clear. Transfer the clear water into clean glass containers leaving the sediment behind. 5. Keep it refrigerated and add 2 tbsp. on to your water or drinks. Don’t drink in one sitting, drink throughout the day. Up your dosage, every week as you feel fit. I have been doing this for 3 years now and my dosage is 1/2 to 3/4 of a cup to one liter of water. I drink throughout the day. Do not drink it straight; it will upset your stomach.
How to get your optimal fitness in only 9 mins, 2-3 x a week with CEO and Founder of CAR.O.L, Ratna Singh.
Ratna and I chat in todays episode: - How AI technology and science is changing and challenging our idea of fitness. - How CAR.O.L is much more than just a piece of equipment. Your exercise physiologist, personal trainer and mind trainer all in one. - Minimum effective dose of exercise. - Fatloss, cardio fitness - Evolutionary perspective of fitness - Glycogen stores depletion - AMPK activation - PGC1 alpha activation - How AI is utilized in the bike’s technology? How it personalizes each workout? - How can a shorter workout be effective? Can you still getting an effective workout if you aren't sweating?
Ratna created the concept of CAR.O.L in response to the inactivity epidemic she observed while running chronic disease management programs. Ratna was looking for a way to deliver shorter, effective workouts and came across the work of Dr. Niels Vollard and found that two 20-second all-out sprints, bracketed by easy spinning, resulted in the same response as a much longer exercise regimen. Ratna and her team worked together to take this innovative tech out of the lab and into the home. Now, CAR.O.L is used by both world-class athletes and fitness beginners.
Prior to founding CAR.O.L, Ratna successfully sold her first startup to Safeway US, served as the first Entrepreneur-in-Residence at McKinsey & Company and co-founded health consultancy firm IHP, which later sold to PwC. Ratna holds a MBA from CASS Business School, as well as a degree in microbiology from Kings College in London.

Behaviour and Learning difficulties in children with Naturopath Gloria Cicchini.
In the episode Gloria and I chat all about kids and in particular behavioural issues related to health and what we can do about it.
We discuss: →What are the aspects that play part with learning and behavioural difficulties. →What are the most important things that need to be addressed. →A stepped approach to addressing these issues. →Importance of chemical and preservative free food. →Heavy metals and chemicals. →What can you do at home to get started.
Gloria is a qualified Naturopath and Life Coach who has worked in varied roles within the Natural Medicine industry for the past 23 years. Currently, Gloria is based in Perth, where she runs a Naturopathic Consultancy specialising in Herbal and Nutritional interventions as well as dietary modification to improve learning and behaviour in children with behavioural disorders, coaching burnt out parents of these kids to help make their life less stressful and restore their energy, as well as facilitating wellness in many clients with a range of health conditions. When not consulting, Gloria is the Senior Lecturer at the Endeavour College of Natural Medicine, Perth Campus, where she pursues another passion; teaching and inspiring the up and coming movers and shakers in the Natural Medicine field.
Aside from her Naturopathic qualifications, Gloria has a Cert IV in Life Coaching from the Coaching Institute, a Graduate Certificate in Evidence Based Complementary Medicine and a Bachelor of Medicines Management with Professional Honours in Complementary Medicine, from the University of Tasmania.
She believes that food is medicine. Every time you eat, you are given the opportunity to either nourish and feed your body and prevent illness, or are given the opportunity to move towards disease by eating processed, packaged foods filled with sugar and artificial ingredients. She also advocates yoga, meditation and mindfulness as a therapy to help balance our hectic lives and schedules. Stress is an under-rated cause of biochemical imbalance, which contributes to conditions such as anxiety and depression as well as digestive dysfunction, hormone imbalance and obesity. Learning to quieten and train the mind is a non-negotiable part of achieving optimal wellness in today’s world.

The Call of The Heart
The science of heart math, how to cope with anxiety and stress day to day, psychedelics, the science and wonder of medicinal cacao plus lots lots more!
Willow and I go deep into the real questions we ask ourselves, how we can make changes for the better, how to overcome health and emotional challenges as well as finding your passion, and being kind to yourself. We talk self compassion, being authentic, the ego and all with a scientific twist!
Willow explains these very intimidating and intimate topics with beautiful authentic wisdom and scientific knowledge, making it easy to apply in our everyday lives.
This talk is mind blowing and you will want to listen to it over and over, learning skills to help you for the rest of your life.
About Willow: Willow has been a licensed trainer and coach for The HeartMath Institute for the past 6 years. Prior to this, his journey has taken him around the world to study with shamans, spiritual teachers and esteemed practitioners in the areas of personal and spiritual growth and optimal health and wellness.
He has been an emergency room nurse and military paramedic - he is committed to grounding spiritual practices into genuine depth and practical action
He has also been holding Cacao Ceremonies in Perth regularly for the past decade.
Willows story: Suffering is a state I know intimately - I had a violent, unsafe and lonely childhood. I left home at 16 years old and over the next decades I wandered the world in search of peace, happiness and connection.
I descended into, and overcame addiction. I slept on the streets and found myself in incredibly isolated situations. Through all this, I never gave up hope of becoming well and whole. I dived into personal and spiritual growth, I worked deeply in learning how to forgive, how to love and how to transmute my suffering.
Over time, I began to heal. I noticed that I was always in the right place at the right time to support someone to have the courage to make the changes necessary for the next positive step in their life journey. I became a nurse in order to serve my community in the places where a compassionate act or laugh could transform someone’s experience of suffering. I continued to train in strategies that would support myself and others to make positive lasting changes and to alleviate suffering. In 2013, through a series of synchronicities, it became clear that the tools from The HeartMath Institute were going to be a powerful nextstep in this commitment.
I firstly became a licensed coach and then travelled to the USA in 2016 to attain their Trainer certification. The knowledge, research and evidence backed tools from The HeartMath institute have been incredibly supportive both in my own life, and the hundreds of individuals I have worked with. They focus on helping to bring the nervous system back into balance, to reduce anxiety in real-time, to give you awareness of emotional triggers that may be keeping you depressed or unable to see solutions to your current challenges. They also focus a lot on gratitude and self-compassion - vital emotions that lead to a richer, more satisfying and meaningful life.
If you are someone that is in a difficult spot, where you know you need to make some changes, you are willing to make some changes, but are not sure what to do, I may be able to just help you to get unstuck and take some empowered steps forward.
