Food for Thought - A Life in Four Courses

MECOPP

14 Episodes

'Food for Thought – A Life in Four Courses' is a heritage project that explored and recorded the cultural heritage and traditions of food that mark significant events or ‘rites of passage’ during an individual’s lifetime.

The project worked with people from South Asian, Chinese, Nepalese, African/African Caribbean and White Scottish communities, was delivered by MECOPP and funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.

MECOPP stands for Minority Ethnic Carers of People Project and we are a Scottish charity that assists Black and Minority Ethnic carers to access the support and services necessary to undertake or sustain their caring role. We provide advice and information in different languages; advocacy and casework services; education and training opportunities; individual and group support and practical support in the home.
