Surprise! Turns out this is the season finale of Season 4 after all. We're off to have ourselves a break over the summer - part holiday (for SoRo), part maternity leave (for SoMo). We didn't want to leave you in the lurch though so this ep is chock-a-block with the good stuff. Think sexy netflix shows, a Sydney swimming bible,  comfort reads, a banging dance tune and some "last ep of the season" silliness we didn't edit out. What sport does SoRo have a vendetta against? What weird way does SoMo describe being pregnant? Just how many times does SoRo's skin get complimented? You'll have to tune in to find out guys! Vamanos!

This week we are thrusting our face into the flowering bushes of Sydney in spring and letting sprigs of jasmine perfume our houses. It’s our favourite time of year, but there are deadlines to meet and sometimes the seasonal shift can make SoRo a little blue. To steady our equilibrium we have some decadent chickpeas, an app to track our cycles, a memoir to make us brave and yet ANOTHER perfect doughnut. When it comes to cookbooks, we might need to start instituting a 'one in, one out' policy. Except we could never -  we love them all like beloved, weighty, glossy-paged children!

This week we're focusing on five of our favourites, the ones we return to again and again. Listen up to find out which cookbook we reckon you can read like a novel and which recent hit has spawned multiple viral recipes. Oh and SoRo reveals the true depth of her obsession with lentils.

We love any excuse for a fancy beverage here at Highly Enthused, and this week we're diving into our fave five! Don't stress though, none of them are particularly complex (in fact we're not 100% sure one of them even counts as a cocktail). We make the case for bringing back daiquiris and having yourself an Amaro Spritz summer.  It's a short, fast, sweet and loud this week - jump in!

It's the last snack-sized episode of Season 1! We're sad about that, but we're excited about books.  McComas leans into her love of memoir (seriously, apparently it's all she reads) while SoRo tries to convince you that a book about the end of the world can be 'uplifting'.

But we're cheered, as always, by insanely tasty spicy noodles, terrifying podcasts, a print that Sophie R describes as "Diane Keaton Does a Lot of Acid", buttery foreign pastries and weird Scottish kitchen tools. One of us also dives back into the art of journaling, because why not go FULL teenager?

SoRo is back from her travels! And she's pretending to be ok with that! SoMo probably still has New Mexican Mezcal in her blood. To keep that holiday spirit rolling we take you through our top recommendations from our respective trips to the conveniently alliterative Sicily & Santa Fe.

From granita and wine that tastes like peaches to trippy "interactive installation art" and the best margarita in the South West - this episode covers a lot of ground. And look we tried to keep it short but we failed miserably.
