Consciously we may think we are a whole human, but we are actually made up of smaller parts physically, emotionally, and spiritually. How would your life change if you started seeing and appreciating the different parts of you?
In this episode we discuss how to start perceiving differently and take care of the needs your smaller parts have of love and acceptance. What about the butt you are probably sitting on right now? What about your back or feet? What about the 5 year little boy or girl in you?
The words we use carry an energy and meaning, and sometimes the same word means very different things to different people in different circumstances. In this #podcast episode we discuss how some generic words like happy, angry, why, and sorry are so limiting and can be misunderstood easily by others, leading to communication breakdowns. We can use better words to be more specific that carry a better energy and are closer to what we are actually thinking or feeling. What do you mean by that? Can you say that a different way?

In this episode we discuss the importance and unimportance of different traditions so you can decide for yourself what traditions and whether you will allow the expectations of others to rule what you do, or if you will take control of your life and create the dream you want to live.
Most people understand the importance of taking time for oneself, but most don't thinking it will take hours out of their day that they don't have. But what if you can take time for yourself while doing other tasks, or in ways that only take a few seconds or a few minutes?
In this episode we discuss some practical ways you can start taking time for yourself each day and recharge your battery so you can live your best life.
Would you go back and change one thing in your life, or take $1 million dollars? Do you love who you are becoming? In this episode we discuss how we are loving the people we are becoming and some of the changes we both have made in the last five years as we have done the Fire and Earth podcast.

This and so much more in this episode.
Once you know, you cannot un-know what you have seen or experienced. You are forever changed. You get the trip you need, not the one you want, and your life won't be the same after the experience so it's best to know what you are doing.

Has anyone ever done a kind things for you? How did you feel? Have you ever done a king thing for someone else? How did you feel?
In this episode we dig into ways you can show kindness and literally change the course of human events by doing small acts of kindness that only take a few seconds. Those acts come back over an over again and make you and others feel better.
And as an extra bonus, in this episode you will get to see both Kathy and Jason cry a little as they share some of their own personal experiences.
Do you ever make assumptions when you make decisions? Whether you realize it or not, you make lots of assumptions and those assumptions hurt you and hurt your relationships.
In this episode we discuss how sometimes having the awkward or uncomfortable discussions, giving people an option to serve and work through things with you, and having more open and honest communications can really deepen your relationships and make you feel happy.
When we make assumptions, we usually suffer twice... and the suffering in anticipation, anxiety, or fear of what may happen is usually much worse than the event itself. In this episode we discuss getting rid of assumptions so you can get on with your life.
Those 'what ifs' that keep us up at night are simply dragging us into an unknown negative future. Why suffer twice? If something bad happens in the future you can handle it then. Why ruined the beautiful present by letting negative thoughts take over?
Do you feel weighed down because you haven't forgiven someone? Are you holding a grudge because of something someone else did to you? Have you actually forgiven yourself?
In this episode we talk about forgiving yourself and others so you can get back to a place of self and lighten burdens you may still be carrying around. You can't fly if you are heavy, and forgiveness is really for YOU and not the other person.
Do you honor the sacred and build sacredness into each day?
If you read that and thought WTF are you talking about, then this episode is for you since most people misunderstand what sacred is, but when you listen you will see how it is an important practice to increase your gratitude, peace and feeling of connectedness... and who doesn't want that?
Have you ever felt like something needs to change in your life or you will die? Most people feel this way at some point in their life.
And in this episode we have the opportunity to hear from MisT Magdalena Grace and how she changed her life with plant medicine and spirituality.
She felt something wasn't quite right.....the money she made wasn't worth it. She felt so lost, dazed/confused. Her marriage was falling apart, she was 30 lbs over weight, and had become a binge drinking workaholic who felt like she had to wear a mask to "succeed," but had lost her own definition of "success."
Sound familiar?
Listen to how she healed her grief, drama, and addiction.

You might think nothing is really changing, since you are with yourself each and every day. But, has someone ever told you "wow, I can believe how much you've changed" or have you said that to someone else?
It's true that often change requires a consistency and diligence over a period of time, but may change isn't really as slow as you think? We explore these topics in this episode.
Have you ever received great inspiration in odd places: the shower, the toilet, the beach?
In this episode we discuss where we have received some of our best ideas and why allowing, surrendering and asking the right questions and then letting the universe work its magic is usually the way to receive your greatest downloads.
Do you have a favorite literary character? Someone you respect and admire whether fictional or factional?
In this episode we talk about two of ours and transport you to Arthurian England and a dirty old man, to see what we can learn about embracing and embodying these sometimes alter-egos to help us be more authentic and powerful to create the like we want and unlock your true potential.
We are joined by two-time cancer surviver Valerie Anne Burns, who is not only a survivor but a woman who have reinvented herself over and over again. Do you want a change in your life, or need a little courage to get through? Then listen to this episode where she shares about finding a purpose, appreciating beauty, hummingbirds, the gift of autopilot, the healing power of color... and so much more.

Complexity usually comes with the expensive price tag of worry and anxiety. What would happen if you simplified your life? Would you feel more peace, joy, and happiness?
In this episode we share some examples of how more, and more complication is usually not your best option. And what can happen when you start making little steps to live simply. Most people want a complex checklist of things to do, when often it is the simple that is most powerful.
Can you accept what is, and be present in the moment? Are you judging and calling things good or bad, instead of saying "we'll see?"
"When people see things as beautiful, other things become ugly. When people see some things as good, other things become bad." Lao Tzu.
Can you withhold judgement and be grateful for the unanswered prayers and choices you've made that have gotten you to where you are today. Maybe that broken leg, bad relationship, person you never got to date, etc... was a necessary part of you becoming who you are today.
How often to do you stop to enjoy the little things in life? Watching the squirrels and gnats. Appreciating the small wins and simple things you can be grateful for. Or are you the kind of person that is only looking for the big things and ignoring or under appreciating the beauty that is right in front of you?
In this episode we share some simple things we've found joy in and how you can enjoy, feel gratitude and joy in the little things in life.
In this episode we share a few items we keep around our offices and the meaning behind each one. Not only do you learn a little more about each of us, but each item we discuss ultimately leads to some discussing some tips and wisdom on simple things you can do to unlock your potential.
Learn why Kathy is so excited about a tissue box, a little book, conference badges, and a Native American flute have to do with unlocking your potential, and learn a little more about each of us too.
If you are like most people, when you first meet someone new in the first few minutes you hear the question: "So what do you do?" How to you feel and respond when someone asks you that question?
In this episode we discuss how putting yourself in a box, identifying with labels, labeling and judging other people, and you are not just one thing, are so critical to making sure you don't have an identity crisis, limit yourself and your potential, and how you can use better words that resonate more with who you really are authentically.
Have you ever felt like the universe has given you a sign? Conversely, have you ever felt like the outcome of an event was going to go badly, and then it did? Often times we may just be programming our brain to believe something due to our own confirmation biases. By believing something was going to go poorly, that made it so. So how can you tell the difference when you are receiving a real sign vs. your own confirmation?
Well in today's episode we discuss exactly that!
A common saying is "every cloud has a silver lining", and the point of this saying is essentially to try to find the good that comes with the bad. In today's episode we discuss the cyclical nature of life, the world around us and how we can all find the good in hard times.
In this week's episode of Fire and Earth we have Emilee Garfield on the show. Emilee is here to share with us her life story from its tragic origins, through to her later tribulations all the way up to the present day where all of that has turned around! Emilee is a wonderful example of how one's attitude and outlook can shape their destiny for the better!
Connect with Emilee on Instagram @cancersavedmylife or her website: https://emileegarfield.com/
In today's Fire and Earth Podcast we discuss body image issues, the medias influence, as well as our own stories on the matter. Often times it can be hard to look at ourselves in the mirror, but know that things will be okay as we dive into these issues, as well as discuss how to overcome them.
In this episode we share a few items we keep around our offices and the meaning behind each one. Not only do you learn a little more about each of us, but each item we discuss ultimately leads to some discussing some tips and wisdom on simple things you can do to unlock your potential.

In this episode we share a few items we keep around our offices and the meaning behind each one. Not only do you learn a little more about each of us, but each item we discuss ultimately leads to some discussing some tips and wisdom on simple things you can do to unlock your potential.
Learn what a Wooden Mustachioed Nose, Leprechauns, a Gratitude Journal and a collection of pens have to do with unlocking your potential, and learn a little more about each of us too.
Have you ever found yourself thinking "If only I had this" or "Once I make a certain amount of money" or "If I can finally be with ..." "Then I would be happy"? Well in this weeks podcast we're here to discuss happiness and how it doesn't come from external things, but that it comes from within.
When asked "What is best in life?" Arnold Schwarzenegger once said, in the film "Conan the Barbarian", "To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of their women!" How much of a great movie quote that is, sometimes that isn't the best way to handle our "enemies" in life.
Often times it isn't great for our own mental health and wellbeing to hold onto grudges, and in today's episode we are going to discuss examples of how to best handle our life's nemeses.
In today's episode we discuss the importance of self care. It's very easy for a lot of us to be living our lives for other people. A common example would be a mother who is constantly doing things to take care of their kids, or the work-a-holic that is constantly working to appease their boss. It's not a bad thing to be doing things for others, however, there is a certain point where we need to take a step back and just spend some time dedicated to ourselves for the sake of our own happiness and mental health.
On average we have 60,000 thoughts per day. Of those 60,000, 50,000 of them are NEGATIVE! It's a surprising metric to hear, I know! But in today's episode we're going to try and help people turn this around and start thinking more positively.
ave you ever heard the saying "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade"? Well... Someone had to tell you that you're getting lemons, and from time to time, you may be the person that needs to be giving that information to someone else. So what do you do when you have to dish out some bad news? Whether it's sugar-coating things or just bluntly telling someone the bad news, there are some fine nuances that make such a delivery much easier on both parties, and today we are here to discuss exactly that!
So "don't take this the wrong way... but..." Click the link below to listen in!
hether we're brothers, mothers, nephews, cousins, boyfriends, wives, employees, roommates, or neighbors, we all have one thing in common. This commonality is the fact that we all go through various forms of relationships in our lives. A lot of our relationships can end and it's quite common for people to blame themselves for the various shortcomings and pitfalls that may have led to that end. "Why did I stay with him for so long", "Why couldn't I have worked harder" or any kind of "shoulda woulda coulda" are certain things that maybe you have thought to yourself regarding an instance or two in your life. So in today's episode we're going to discuss how relationships can fall apart and how we can learn to grow from these instances.
What would you rather do? A lot of people may enjoy doing one thing more often than another, however we all have our reasons for doing what we do. So what conditions lead you to want to get cozy at home to just relax, or to go outside and play?
Believe it or not, you may actually be in a hypnotic trance right now! Many things that we are exposed to on a daily basis are actually designed to put us in a suggestive hypnotic state. The fact that you're looking at a screen and reading this may indicate that you have been hypnotized by the very device that you're using!
Being in such a state certainly doesn't need to be a bad thing, however there are some situations where you may wish to snap yourself out of it and become more lucid!
Take a listen to today's podcast and see just how you may or may not be in a hypnotic state!
In today's episode the burning question is: Are you a leader or a follower? Kathy and Jason discuss the difference between these two roles, along with what people's tendencies (including their own) are and why.
Reactive vs. Proactive seems like a black and white subject matter, however you may be surprised to hear that the line between the two may be a little more obfuscated than we think.
Kathy and Jason discuss some interesting scenarios that actually seem to blur the line between the two.
So what do you think? Give this episode a listen and let us know what you think these instances would be classified.
elieve it or not there is actually an entire world out there! For a lot of people the only world they know is just their neighborhood. Today Kathy and Jason are here to share some stories of their travels around the world, and to share the benefits that travel can have for other people. So where have you gone to? Where do you want to visit next? and if you haven't got the means to travel internationally, stay tuned to hear a little tip for how you can experience various cultures of the world without having to go too far!
Ever hear the saying "things happen for a reason"? Well today we're going to be talking all about that! Sometimes life gives you lemonade, simply because you're supposed to end up with lemonaide! Life can be confusing and tough to navigate at times, and when these moments have you upset, just remember that in the end everything will work out just fine.

Is there ever a good time for emotions to be present in the workplace? Most of us would probably say "no" and leave it at that. Well in today's episode Kathy and Jason are going to discuss when... Or IF emotions can be a good thing in a work setting!
As time has gone on, swear words have become more and more acceptable. Just a few decades ago many of these words were seen as taboo. Shit... George Carlin was thrown in jail because of it! So in today's day and age, what is your stance on swear words?
Emotional intelligence is recognizing that we are emotional beings that initially respond to life events emotionally rather than rationally. Through this recognition of our human tendencies this allows us to instead ignore the emotional reactions to things, and come up with a rational response to any event that may arise. With that being said, we have Robert Grossman with us today to discuss how we can become emotionally intelligent individuals! Learn more about Robert, and register for one of his upcoming webinars at: blackdiamondleadership.com
Today's episode has to do with embracing who you are and being unapologetic about it! Long hair, no hair, red hair, comb over... It's all about being proud of who you are and living your life however you wish!
Kathy and Jason take on one of their short questioned episodes discussing how they organize their lives and the benefit of piles files and lists.
Today Kathy and Jason are discussing rejection and how they both interpret it.
Often times the fear of rejection can hold people back in life, and how difficult it may be, we can train ourselves to become okay with hearing "no"!
Once that fear is overcome we can open many new doors that may not have otherwise been available to us.

In today's episode we discuss the question "Do you think everyone should have a back-up plan?"
For a lot of situations back up plans can be good, however life can also bring situations where a back-up plan can be detrimental.
Listen in today to hear our opinions on what situations do and don't merit a plan-B.
Sometimes it's nice to spend some stress free time getting in touch with our younger selves. One great way to do that is to revisit the old cartoons that we used to enjoy watching so much!
In today's episode Kathy and Jason discuss their favorite cartoons and what their takeaways were from them.
What kind of socks do you wear... If any at all? For an item that seems so irrelevant, socks are a great way to express yourself!

Like last week's episode we are going to tap into our childhood selves and delve into our first memories! Just like what we wanted to be when we grew up shapes who we become, our first moments do exactly the same.
Kathy and Jason share with us all what those moments were for them, and we encourage you to recollect your memories and take the time to introspect on yourselves!
Today we discuss what we were like as children and how those older dreams and ideas helped to shape the people that we became.
We all may not have become exactly what we thought we would, but regardless of that outcome, there are probably many ways in which those experiences shaped you just as it had us.
When people talk, do you actively listen without judgement? Are you asking questions because you are curious?
We are excited to have Corey Blake back with us to discuss how those two things can really make a huge difference in your relationships and your own growth. As with all #fireandearthpodcast episodes we go some places you might not be expecting: pain creates growth, how sometimes the questions we ask are judgmental and how to phrase it differently so others feel psychologically safe to share and be vulnerable.

We all love a good hero's journey story... in fact the movies and books you love are typically based on this story type, and who doesn't love a good hero.
You may be afraid to share your authentic story from your heart because you are scared your vulnerability will lead to judgement. But, what if vulnerability is sexy and the only way to connect with others. You are probably afraid they will step back when they see the real you, but what usually happens is people lean in and love you more.
So much good stuff in this episode where we discuss things like: the board of directors in your head, finding a sense of safety and belonging, sharing both your light and dark, understanding your own kryptonite, and how to be your own hero.
Corey Blake began his storytelling career as an actor. Today, Corey is the founder and CEO of Round Table Companies (RTC), the publisher of Conscious Capitalism Press, and a speaker, artist, and storyteller.

Purpose fuels everything we do. When we live our #purpose we get lit up and on fire! In this #fireandearthpodcast episode we are joined by Connie Benjamin, an international speaker and author of the book: Women With Fire™: 6 Secrets to Purpose, Prosperity, and Passion.
Get out your paper and pen and take some notes, since we talk through some acronyms that will give you the steps to unlock your potential, tap into inspirations, and find your right next step to take action. We also discuss why FIRE #goals are much more effective than SMART goals. Yep, that's another acronym you're going to want to learn and apply in your life.
Connie is also the podcast host for My Fire Within Radio. After sharing her message from the stage with thousands of people, she realized women entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs who want to make a difference in the world through their work without losing their family, or their sanity needed a book to guide them in how to do it.
Connie discovered it was possible to have it all, at the right time, and in the right order after she learned about Higher Laws principles. Now, she dedicates her time to sharing her knowledge with female self-starters to help them improve their lives. These principles helped Connie restore her marriage from feeling disconnected to being better than the day she and her husband Andy were married! These principles also helped her replace her day job income as she found renewed love in being a stay-at-home mom with her three daughters, and recovered her health.

Research has shown a strong correlation to what we feel in our bodies and our mind and emotions. Ever been guilty of saying you have a pain in your neck? Often we find out someone or something is the cause of our pain in our neck.
In this #fireandearthpodcast episode we jump into how some of the words that have made our way into language like "pain in the neck," "pissed off," etc... actually have something to do with deep set emotions we are feel that get suppressed and stuffed down only to show up as physical symptoms. When we confront and release the emotion often our physical pain goes away.

Just like an actor preparing for a role, there are things we must do to learn how to incorporate those characteristics of the person we want to BE. Think of nouns and adjectives like: courageous, diligent, wise, bold, etc... to guide how you DO things. And then we have the ego states to consider.
Take a listen and we'll explain everything in way more detail.

Have you ever wondered why you show up as different people on different days? The reason relates to the various ego states that simultaneously are present within each of us. The problem is when the "librarian" show up when we are giving a speech and we need the "entertainer" to show up instead. In this episode we discuss how to "tap" into the right ego state (when you listen to the episode you'll see why that is so punny ;) We discuss ego state therapy and how you can get the right ego to show up at the right time. If you wait to have, so you can do and then be a better you ... you'll be waiting a very long time staying stuck exactly where you are at now. In order to "be" a better us, we need to step into being that person now and do the things that better self would do. You have to "be" then "do" and you will then "have" what you desire. Learn how pretending to be Snow White can actually help let out some of our best qualities we are holding back from letting the world see. We have to first pretend and then forget you are pretending (e.g. see how some of the best actors put on their best performances). Fake it until you make it, etc... and stick out your turtle neck (when you listen to the episode it will make a lot more sense :)
