somehow it looks like we brought another serious academic on, and it happens to be one who wrote a heavily bonefeld- & mirowski-inflected survey book on theories of value! for all the points of disagreement we pursue, harry is a very lovely guy and a delight to talk to throughout, and we think that he's done a real service by writing this book for a popular audience. it was a genuinely fun conversation to have, and we hope this comes through in the episode.

this episode was about a lot of things & nothing at once. it started with a cat mug, led through albert & hahnel to sraffa, touched on science & critique & althusser, & finished up by trying to answer the question, why marx. not that we said anything worthwhile about these things! but hopefully y'all can problematise us. btw cordelia wants you to know she sounds like she had surgery & gotten intubated (she had just had surgery & gotten intubated).
