Speaking with Beads is an African Centered Education program in which participants engage in a regional study of traditional African adornment. Great attention is placed on the spiritual, educational, social, and political role adornment plays within African families and regions. Participants are accompanied on a journey of discovery into the communicative principles that govern the use and application of various techniques and materials used in regional beadwork.
