Oh, the depths is a space to relate, find encouragement, and maybe gain some new perspectives as we go through life together! Bethany Fontaine is a wife and mother with a passion to help others not feel alone, find joy in the mundane and encourage others as she shares authentic thoughts and interviews real women on motherhood and life.
In this episode I sit down with my friend Laura Hoyda who is another SAHM ( Stay At Home Mom) and we discuss things that we wish we knew before we became we decided to stay at home with our children. Motherhood is a crazy rollercoaster and if you're like me then you like to be as prepared as possible. We tackle a few things that I know may be helpful for you to be prepared for if you choose to become a SAHM.

In this episode I tackle how to flip those toxic negative thoughts of not feeling worthy or accomplished into positive constructive ones and addressing the physiological pattern known as imposter syndrome. Let's be real this episode I'm completely preaching to myself. I doubt myself constantly and its an area I really need to work on. I hope this episode brings you encouragement as you listen!

I'm back after taking a bit of time off of the podcast. It's been a month of self reflection and growth and I've learned a lot about myself. Change can be uncomfortable and doesn't feel safe but it can be GOOD and that's what I'm talking about in todays episode!

What a time to be alive! The last two - three weeks have been some of the most life altering that we have experienced and at first I didn't know what to think of it or understand how I was feeling about it. I took two weeks off making episodes to really pin point how I was feeling and how I can not let those fearful and anxious feelings rule my life. In this episode I break down a lot of what's been going on in my head and I also hope to give some encouragement and helpful tips to help you overcome fear, anxiety and processing the unknown. I pray you are all staying safe and healthy!

Have you ever done something subconsciously that looking back on you know hurt not only you but other people in your life? We all want healthier and more functional relationships. Whether that is with our significant other, our friends or family; we want to live in harmony with others. So how can we do that? In this episode I tackle the idea of ungracious assumptions and how it affects our day to day relationships and how we can switch the narrative and start to make GRACIOUS assumptions and lift one another up.
Once the kids are put to bed, Bethany sits down with her dear friend Samantha Lenz. Sam spends her days blogging, Instagramming, handling clients with PR and communications and being the best Mom to her son. We can all look at someone else's little squares on Instagram and think I wonder what their life is really like, or we can compare what they have to our own lives. Are others sharing their real life? Or is it all fake? Is it possible to have a following, share pretty posed pictures and also the real life messy stuff? Sam and Bethany discuss and dissect the "Influencer" world, the impact of social media on their own lives and the lives of other women.

Sometimes it can feel like life is way too full with all the good things we fill it with. We can feel like life is too busy and if it's not any other way we're not successful or accomplished. In this episode I talk about what it means to slow down and to maybe not fill our lives with too much so we can enjoy life a little bit more. Instead of living life at full capacity, what if we slowed down and found joy as we find true soul rest.
I hope you enjoy my VERY FIRST podcast episode! There will be a few growing pains so please bear with me. The majority of my episodes will be interviews with other women who can share their perspectives so you don't get too tired of hearing my voice. 😉
