Are you in service to your business or is your business in service to you?
In the early days of your business when you’re getting it off the ground, you are going to be in service to your business. There’s a lot of work to do and that’s to be expected. However, at a certain point, you have to give yourself permission to reap the benefits of what you’ve created.
This episode of Jereshia Said is about how to allow your business to serve you, especially if you’re going through a difficult time. It’s okay to have a season when you’re the one being supported, not the one doing all the supporting.
If you have a hard time slowing down, asking for help, and accepting support, you need to hear this.
Topics We Cover in This Episode: * How your business can serve you when you’re struggling with your mental and emotional health * Why revenue, lead generation, and client delivery should not be dependent on you forever * Remembering to pause and reflect * How to simplify your business * Identifying what you need to delegate * Reminding yourself why you created your business * Utilizing the support that is available to you
If you’re going through a difficult season right now, I see you. It’s time to reap the rewards of all your hard work and let your business serve you for a moment. Why did you start this business in the first place? I bet part of it was so that you could take time for yourself when you need to in moments just like this.

I see a lot of misconceptions online about what makes someone an expert and I think it’s time to put those to rest and talk about the truth. I get it, it’s difficult to discern who knows their stuff and who doesn’t, especially online, but there really is a pretty simple way to get to the bottom of this.
I think the truth about what makes you an expert is going to be different from what you expect—you know I like to keep you on your toes. So, get ready to debunk the myth about what makes you an expert and find out what it really is.
Topics We Cover in This Episode: * Why you should be selling something you have hands-on experience with * Avoiding getting caught up in the consumption of information * How to put yourself in an environment that will encourage you to take action * What makes you an expert * How to decide what to sell * The importance of taking action on what you know

When is the right time to hire an executive assistant and how do you know if you can actually afford one?
In this episode of Jereshia Said, I’m walking you through how I decided when to hire an executive assistant so that you can use this process to make a decision for yourself. There’s more to consider than just feeling like you need help. For starters, do you know exactly what it is you need help with? If not, you’re going to need to figure that out first. Do you know what your budget is? Do you know what tasks you want to delegate vs. keep on your own plate? These are all questions that I’m going to help you answer before you decide whether or not to hire an executive assistant for your online coaching business.
If you’ve been thinking about hiring an executive assistant, listen to this episode first!
Topics We Cover in This Episode: * How to evaluate your current capacity * Hiring decisions that drive revenue and growth for your business * Why you need to do a two-week time study * How to identify what tasks you can delegate and what you need to do yourself * Hiring for your specific needs * Whether to hire your executive assistant on an hourly, retainer, or project basis * How much executive assistants cost * Getting a good return on investment from an executive assistant * Assessing your budget according to the Profit First method
I hope this episode answers your questions about when to hire an executive assistant and how to know if you can afford one. I know that hiring is a big decision, which is why I’m sharing my process with you. I hope it helps!

Are you in the thick of a cash flow crisis? Not a lot of people want to talk about it, but I think it’s important to have more public conversations like this.
By having more public conversations about money and money problems, we can help each other feel less alone when we experience normal challenges like cash flow problems.
When you first start your business, all you need to worry about is how to make money. Once you’ve learned how to create predictable cash flow, then you have to start worrying about how to manage, maintain, and multiply your cash flow, and that can be a lot!
Grab your notebook because in this episode I’m walking you through the five areas for you to look at to help you pinpoint where you might have a cash flow problem in your online coaching business and how to fix it.
Topics We Cover in This Episode: * The normal financial seasons of a business * How to approach a cash flow problem from the right headspace * The importance of cash flow projections * What you need to address in your messaging if you’re experiencing a cash flow crisis * Identifying patterns in industry-specific business cycles * Areas that need to evolve as your business grows * How to evolve your offer appropriately as your consumer becomes more sophisticated * Why you need to specialize your offer * When to make a hire (it’s not when you think) * Focusing on values instead of company culture
If you’re struggling with your cash flow right now, you’re not alone. It’s a lot more common than it seems but it’s not something that’s publicly discussed. I hope this episode helps normalize the conversation and reassures you that you’re not the only one going through this season of business.

How do you find your dream job within the business that you have already created?
This is a question that I think we’re all faced with at some point on our journeys as business owners. You might have created your dream business (or be on the path to creating it) but that doesn’t necessarily mean you are living your dream life or working your dream job.
The first step is figuring out what your dream life actually looks like. Have you asked yourself lately what you really want? In this episode, I will guide you through the process of coming to terms with why you’re doing what you’re doing, what you really want, and how to define your role within your business.
Topics We Cover in This Episode: * Why you need to define freedom * Accepting the work that is required of you to run a business * Short-term sacrifices your business will require of you * How to make the best hiring decisions * Figuring out what you are best at * Why we often end up chasing someone else’s definition of success * How to define success for yourself * The relationship between your personal and professional lives * The importance of taking time to care for yourself * How to find your dream job within your business * Choosing how far to grow your business
If I asked you what your dream job is, could you tell me? Your answer is more important than you know. If you don’t know what you want, you’ll never achieve it. I’m here to help you clearly define success and find your place within your business in alignment with your definition.

Do you want to know how I’ve generated over $4 million in sales since I started my online coaching business in 2017?
I was looking at my Stripe account recently when I realized I’d passed the $4 million mark, and it got me thinking about what really allowed me to make that happen.
Of course, I got behind the microphone to share with you what I’ve learned from five years of profitable growth and how I’ve successfully positioned myself to be profitable every single year that I’ve been in business.
I want you to know that no matter what you look like or where you come from, if I can do it, you can do it too.
Topics We Cover in This Episode: * Why you need to master self-management * One of the biggest changes from corporate life to entrepreneurship * The principles of profitable growth * The importance of being radically honest with yourself * Why you need to prioritize differently now than you did in your corporate job * How to manage your energy * Giving your body the fuel that it needs to thrive * Why you need to be willing to prioritize profit * The difference between your mission and your business model * A question to ask yourself to make your business more profitable * Why you need to be ruthlessly unapologetic about wanting to make money * How to calculate your net worth
I hope you’re ready to make your business more profitable than ever because that’s what will happen if you’re willing to implement the principles for profitable growth in this episode. Full disclosure, there are some tough truths in this episode. If you’re not in a place to hear them right now, that’s okay, but if you’re ready to get radically honest with yourself about how to make more profits, tune in.

Are you having a hard time getting aligned clients enrolled in your course?
I want to talk about the one thing you need to have if you want to enroll aligned clients.
You might have done all the work to document your sales process, clarify your offer, and align your price point, but if you’re missing this one thing, you’re going to have a hard time enrolling aligned clients into your program.
This is a quick and to-the-point episode, so if you’re in the mood for a quick dose of motivation and some actionable advice that you can implement right now to start enrolling more aligned clients into your program, you’re in the right place.
Topics We Cover in This Episode: * Why sales is all about alignment * The importance of listening to your client’s problem * How to ask clarifying questions * Being honest with yourself about whether a client is right for you or not * How to communicate to someone that your program is not right for them * Letting go of clients who aren’t a good fit * The trick to enrolling aligned clients
Remember, if a client isn’t right for you, let them go. Don’t waste your time (or theirs) trying to convince them that you can help them. You might think you want every sales call to end with a sale, but you don’t. Letting go of unaligned clients is a win, not a loss.
