A Bay Area transplant from Orange County, California, Nick Garcia (aka Nick G) grew up in a household that facilitated musical expression. He began playing various instruments at a very young age discovering his knack for music early on. When introduced to house music at around age 13, he fell in love. Shortly after he acquired a set of turntables and never looked back. Since then he has been involved with various parties, throwing the "House Culture" undergrounds from '99 to '06, and was a key contributor to the "All Ours" parties in Orange County and LA. He has found his place in the studio as well, releasing tracks and remixes under the labels Vinyl Assassins Recordings, Soluble Recordings, Jump Recordings, and Ginkgo Music while handling the label boss duties of the label Funky Farm. His tracks have found their way onto various compilations including Wilson Santos' Electric Manipulation and Fabric 56: Derrick Carter. While Nick's main inspiration comes from West Coast and Chicago underground house, his brand of sound ranges anywhere from deep to jackin' and funky, along with influences of tribal and tech house. He has an energetic sound that's bouncy and groovy enough to rock a club but finds himself most at home in a dark and dirty warehouse.
