How I've structured my systems and operations in a way that doesn't take up loads of time
How I plan and manage "all the things" so they actually get done at the right time
And how I allow more space and freedom in my business, so I can spend more time with my girls!

There are so many people out there these days trying to grab your attention on how to reach 6 figures, market your biz and make more sales and although certain approaches and strategies that you learn will no doubt help, what makes the biggest difference and allows you to sustain success is mastering what you're great at and the way you run your business aligned to your values and vision.
When I work with my clients we explore what they need in their sales process and how they embody their values within it. We look at what is and isn't working for them and importantly what they need to master.
In this episode I break this down and share how you can master your own sales approach too.

Sales in social enterprise is my thing, so when I find someone else equally as passionate about sales who also works in and gets social enterprise, I get very excited.
Nova Arkney is one of those people. She reached out to me just a few weeks ago and now you have the pleasure of listening to me speak to her about all the things we've been discussing recently, when it comes to sales and social enterprise.
Through her 10 year career, Nova worked in many different sales roles, including retail, charity and SaaS sales before she decided it was time to share what she knew with young people to help them to get into sales careers too. Having come from a working class background herself, she understands the power of the unique opportunities that exist in sales careers and the frustration of trying to do it alone. Social mobility has long been a focus for her and the ability to combine it and be able to share a career she loved is what drives her and AimHire every day!
In this episode we talked about: * The lack of diversity in the sales industry and why Nova chose to do something about it * How AimHire supports social mobility through it's expert sales training and recruitment service * Why good sales is all about integrity, honesty and standing by your values * The surprising fact about what "great" conversion rates look like in traditional sales * The myths about sales you need to let go of * The huge potential for the social enterprise sector if we took sales (and business development) talent seriously and addressed our biases about what it involves

Last year I decided I wanted to train as a coach and develop my coaching practice, so I could work more deeply with my clients and help them get even better results. I chose to train with Optimus Coach Academy, founded by Ruth Kudzi and haven't looked back since.
The 6 month training for my ACTP Professional Coach Diploma was phenomenal and I'm currently working towards completing my hours as an Associate Certified Coach with the International Coaching Federation.
In this week episode I invited Ruth to not only talk about the coach training but also the social impact she is able to create through her successful businesses, why this is important to her and the power coaching can have to change the world.
Ruth Kudzi is the CEO of Ruth Kudzi Coaching Ltd and the Optimus Coach Academy. She is an award-winning MCC coach (ICF), coach trainer, best-selling author, and podcaster. Ruth set up Optimus Coach Academy in 2019 and has trained over 1000 coaches on the ACTP Professional Coach Diploma and CPD events they have held. Optimus is recognised as one of the most highly regarded coach training schools in the UK and is rated excellent by trustpilot.
Ruth combines over 27 years of study and experience in Psychology & Neuroscience with practical business building skills and comprehensive coaching experience having coached in her senior leadership role, for organisations and had her own practice working across leadership, career, mindset and business coaching: she has worked alongside FTSE 100 and Fortune 500 companies, NHS trusts, charities, the public sector as well as supporting SMEs and small business owners.

If there’s one thing I know to be true, we all doubt ourselves.
Some more than others, some more so at particular times than others, but the doubt is there at different times and in different amounts.
Just because I’ve had success in my business, and you love listening to me twoddle on, on this podcast, just because I’m a coach doesn’t mean I don’t doubt myself, my business, and everything I do in it at times. And sometimes ALL THE TIME!
Doubt, like the annoying inner voice in my head, is something I’ve just learnt to live with.
Learnt to accept, and learn from.
Why am I dwelling on doubt?
Because I want you to know that the doubt you’re feeling about whether you’re doing the right thing, whether you’re business will make more money this year; whether you’ll fill your services and programmes is all completely normal; whether anyone cares what you do; and actually even needs your services. This doubt in no way reflects whether or not you’ll have any success.
What will define your results and level of success is how you choose to be regardless of this doubt. What you choose to go for. What you courageously step into.
It will be about…
Whether you choose to show up, even if you wonder whether it will make any difference.
Whether you dare to share the thing you’re nervous to talk about, in case someone judges you or worse mis-understands you.
Whether you dare to voice the part of you that’s often unspoken or unheard.
Whether you step in to being the woman you imagine you could be, and create what you desire.
Whether you deeply believe in the power that you hold to create your own reality.
This is how you overcome doubt, not by getting rid of it (trying to figure out why its there and how to erase it) but by moving through it, beyond it, to living in the “possible”. Living in what could happen even with this feeling of doubt? Because the opposite of doubt, I think, is hope, opportunity, possibility. Things we don’t know for sure but can lean into, try out, embrace….
Whether you believe it or not, I know that if you’re listening to this podcast you already have everything you need within you to create what you desire from your business. I know you have this huge vision you’re excited to create. I know you hold it in your heart, sometimes scared to let it out for fear of how others will understand or interpret it, how you’ll be looked upon for daring to dream so big.
But that vision is yours for the taking, yours for the creating. Yours and no-one elses. It’s within you and is ready to be created.
So if you’ve been feeling doubtful of what is possible this year. Know this you have everything in your power.
That first client. That next big milestone. That huge impact goal. Whatever it is you’ve got this and 2022 is going to be your best year yet!

I love how Ashlee breaks down client personas and how to create your value-based brand messaging in a way that aligns with your purpose. “Your brand messaging strategy should absolutely grow and evolve with you as the founder— with your audience as you learn more about them and with your skill sets as you uplevel them. ”

Did you know I started an education program for 11 to 14-year-olds? Eight years ago, my best friend and I started Solutions for the Planet, an education program focused on the sustainability crisis and empowering children to create change. At the start of running Solutions for the Planet, we soon realized that in order to attract, nurture and secure our dream partners and clients, we needed to change the way we communicated. Instead of focusing on what we wanted and needed as an organisation, we shifted to focus on our audience’s wants and needs. The thing is, your story is so much more than a chance to share your purpose or your background. It’s about connecting your journey and your purpose to your audience. Your target audience wants to go on a journey with you. The challenge is connecting your impact to their hopes, wants, and needs. Since becoming a coach for Social Entrepreneurs, I’ve started to realize many small business owners with a social and environmental mission are focusing on the wrong thing. They’re spending all this time sharing what they do when they need to be communicating why they do it.
So how can you map the difference you can create for your clients? How can you communicate your social impact story in a more powerful way? In this episode, I walk through how to create your story. Listen to learn the four steps to building your social impact story and how to spread your message with confidence. Mentioned in the episode: Solutions for the Planet

With a background in corporate agencies, Liz Boer has worked with big-name brands like Ford Motor Company, Stitch Fix, and Bad Politics—brands moving millions of dollars every single day to drive their business through marketing. When she started working in sales, she realized there was a significant gap in the market. Female-owned businesses were struggling to position their brands, automate their businesses, and grow at scale.
Above all else, Liz believes in personal and financial freedom. For Liz, automating is the magic bullet to growing and scaling your business so you can create the life you want to live.
Organic marketing, however effective, is a slow churn. You can’t guarantee your audience will see your content, whether you have 15 or 15,000 followers. On the other hand, paid ads allow you to nearly guarantee your audience’s eyes will land on the post.
If you’re looking to automate your marketing and create more traffic, this is the podcast episode for you.
Full disclosure: Liz is my new Facebook Ads Manager. I’m so happy to have her on my team and I can’t wait for you to hear what she has to say about Facebook advertising and putting a piece of your marketing on autopilot.
In this episode, we discuss: * Making informed decisions with Instagram and Facebook data * Why organic isn’t the only way to drive traction * Where social entrepreneurs should start with FB Ads * Why measuring and understanding insights is crucial * The 3 components to focus on in your Ads
“It's automating our businesses, it's not having to work 80 hour work weeks to create this life and system that we are all really looking for. And Facebook ads becomes a way to automate our businesses”

The Eco Helper specialises in collaboratively supporting their clients by reducing to-do lists, helping them achieve balance, and most of all relieving the stress that comes with running a business.
When I started working with the Eco Helper, it became very apparent I needed help with organizing my business. Many of my systems and processes weren't written down or established; they were just all in my head. That's fine when you're working on your own, but when you start building out a team, you need to have those systems and processes written down. Hiring the Eco Helper helped me raise my game and become more strategic. That’s why I’m super excited to share this episode with you today. In this episode, we discuss: * Why Davey and Daphnah chose to create an eco-friendly business * When you should consider hiring a VA * Prioritizing education over selling on Instagram * What it’s like to work side-by-side with your partner * The power of collaborations and building your community
“We’re really trying to empower our clients and our community. Educating them about how they can make an impact on the planet and people doing different things in their business that are eco-friendly and ethical.”

Make Money Whilst Doing Good is for service-based social entrepreneurs ready to get started making consistent money through sales, with a rock-solid mindset and strategy. This course is not about making mega-bucks in a month, but it will shift the way you think about money and how you run your business, so you can set prices that work for you and generate the income you need to run a sustainable, viable business. Most importantly, it’ll help you get serious about what you're worth in a community that knows exactly why you're balancing doing good with making a profit. This is something that's been brewing in me for a while and wanted to share, but I’ve held back because of my own fear of how you will respond. I feel it's so important as women, as CEOs, as people leading for-purpose impactful social environmental businesses, that we need to change the conversation about how much it's okay to earn. Actually, this will help the whole sector change the way it thinks about paying. There is too much focus on paying the living wage (And I'm 100% behind that campaign. I think it's really, really important.) but it's not enough for the incredible skills, expertise, lived experience, knowledge and time people give to their work. This episode is for the empowered woman who knows she should be earning more in her business right now but is too afraid to set that goal of what she really wants. Whether it's 40k or whether it's another 5k on top of what you're already earning. I know deep down you want to be earning more not out of a place of greed, not out of place of just needing or wanting more, but out of a place of knowing that it’s going to help you, your family and all the things you want to be able to contribute to more. In this episode there are five different areas I talk about why I think this matters. As well as some practical reflections for you to think about how you can put this in place and how it fits within your current business. Have a listen and join me in this important and necessary conversation. Follow Kat Instagram: @katluckockcoaching

*This is a mini-training I did in my Facebook Group - The Impact Entrepreneurs Club. When I ask my clients, “What motivates you?”, they say it's knowing that they're making a difference. It's knowing that the work they're doing is creating that change, but they're actually delivering on the thing they set up their social enterprises or businesses to do. Pricing confidence is really about stepping into that place of knowing “When I make sales at this price point, what am I going to do with that extra income?” Recognizing that the pricing doesn't need to be a motive. The pricing isn't really what's important here. What's important is that you generate the income you want so you can actually create the change you want to see. If you don't feel right about your pricing, it's really hard to sell. When you don't feel confident about your pricing, either because you feel it's too low or it's too high, you can't really get behind it and bring the energy that you need to the sales Maybe you don't know if your pricing is right, you've had it in place for a while and you just don't know, you're not sure, you don't know how to check. Maybe you're just at the start of your journey and you really honestly just don't know even where to start with pricing, which is fine, it's a good place to be and you shouldn't worry about it. Pricing shouldn't be the stuff you get stuck on in your business. It should be the stuff that you're able to work out and decide on and move forward with, at whatever stage of business not just at the start. An important thing to remember is to review your pricing fairly regularly. Check if it's still working for you and your business and if it still reflects the value you're giving to clients and customers. If you know your pricing doesn't really reflect your true value, and you're feeling a nudge and a push to actually increase your prices. And you want to feel really confident about doing that, hopefully, this episode will help.

Working her way up to buyer level for many high street & designer brands, including Vivienne Westwood, Esther witnessed first-hand the pressure that fashion companies placed on their suppliers, the exploitation of factory workers & the environmental impacts of the industry. She saw the need for urgent change and realised she could not contribute to the broken system any longer. Rather than leaving the industry, she began working on a solution for a new and different business model in the fashion sector.
Fanfare Label was launched in October 2018 - an award-winning circular clothing brand changing the way people buy, wear & consume clothing. The exorbitant amount of waste generated in the fashion industry inspired Fanfare Label to represent the circular economy standard; the label is a representative of what fashion could & should look like.
As a non-traditional fashion brand or label, Fanfare has been featured in Vogue, BBC, Forbes, Glamour, Harper’s Bazaar, The Sunday Times & Drapers, just to name a few. Esther has also hosted several events including working with Oxfam, The Fashion Revolution & International Justice Mission to raise awareness on sustainability and human trafficking.
Fanfare, as a sustainable women's wear clothing brand, particularly focuses on the areas of circularity and the idea that we don't need newness all the time. They have a mixture of different recycled and repurposed collections, as well as sustainably designed garments using the latest innovative, sustainable materials in their collections and ensuring that they're biodegradable at end of life. In this episode we discuss: * The many issues with the traditional fashion industry that made Esther choose a different and more aligned path * Why Esther chose a circular model for her sustainable fashion brand * How this circular model enables Fanfare to generate an income while also giving back * The steps Esther has taken to build a brand and business in a way that feels right to her * What she’d like to see the fashion industry change when it comes to circularity * And top tips for consumers of fashion (ie. everyone) to consider before shopping
“Obviously, not every business is 100%, sustainable. But for us, it's really about just doing our best and considering everything and considering as much as we can as well. And that's about having a 360 view towards sustainability. So, looking at every different impact and seeing how we can positively influence that area.” - Esther Knight

When I talk about ‘corporates’ I'm really just using that as a catch-all for any organisation or business to business work that you deliver. It doesn't necessarily have to be a corporate. It could be to charities, to other social enterprises, to the public sector, or to any small, medium and large business that may benefit from your services and or want to contribute to the social impact that you want to contribute to creating. It all works in a very similar way. Because actually, you're pitching to that business’ organizational needs, rather than you would if you're selling to an individual client, to their individual personal needs. There are three ways you can do this. You can try all three in your business or just pick one. Basically, those are models for how to actually think and frame your work with corporates which are part of your business model. It's part of what you do, how you do it, the approach that you take will probably depend on what you're already doing, the kind of social impact you want to deliver or create. And also your specific approach and your expertise, knowledge and skills. I think the vast majority of service-based social enterprises and product-based social enterprises could be generating significant amounts of income from selling to other organizations, businesses and corporates. It's a real missed opportunity that I'm super passionate about helping you with. In this episode, I'm sharing three core approaches that social enterprises can take when working with corporates to help them generate the income they need and, most importantly, deliver on the core social impact or environmental impact that they want to create as a business. I know lots of you are service-based business owners and you really want to give back in some form. Regardless of whether or not you’re a social enterprise or you consider yourself a social impact business, there's a lot of you out there who are interested in having and creating some type of social impact, some way of doing more through your business and be able to report on that. This episode is exactly that. It's for you. Social impact has to be aligned to who you are, your brand, your business, the work you deliver, the people you want to support, and the beneficiaries you want to help. And that is different for all of us. Every single one of us brings a different story and perspective and worldview on the impact that's important that needs to be created and why we want to do that through our business. And that story matters. In this episode, I've picked five areas many service-based organizations and solopreneurs can actually build in or create more social impact through. Giulia firmly believes in the power of purpose-led brands and in the positive impact on society that businesses can have. KnowThyBrand was first born when Giulia decided to leave the corporate world after her second child was born, in search of something with more flexibility to continue to grow her career while being there for her kids. After a while, something felt amiss, which led to Giulia coming to the realisation that her favourite projects were those she did pro bono for people in need (start-ups, mumpreneurs, community-ran organisations). Looking for a way to give back while still making an income, Giulia knew she needed to transition into a social enterprise - KnowThyBrand Women. She is dedicated to helping women in businesses to build sustainable companies and career paths through strategic branding and effective communication solutions. Social entrepreneurship is when you listen to your heart, your intuition, and let yourself be guided by what feels like the right thing to do, rather than what may be the traditional narrative about how to do good business. It doesn’t have to feel scary or overwhelming. All too often we either put off measuring our impact and putting it into a report because it feels too heavy, cumbersome, time-consuming, and sometimes costly. Or we procrastinate because we don't know where to start. If you haven't created an impact report or brought together your data yet, don’t worry. You’re not alone, this is normal. There are very few social entrepreneurs, social enterprises that actually publicly share their impact data in a way that's really helpful and meaningful to their audience, customers or stakeholders. So this is exactly why you should! It's core to why we exist as social enterprises. I want you to release the expectation that it has to be this really ambitious, detailed, high-level report. You can show the incredible change that you've created in numerous creative ways that are so much simpler than that. In this episode, I share different ways you can present your data and the benefits it provides your business or social enterprise. For a long time the idea of calling myself a CEO felt ridiculous, but then I explored what having a CEO in my business might mean and what I'd need to do to embrace that.
The truth was stepping in to my power as the CEO was hugely transformational for my business, and the surprising thing was I didn't need to be or do anything that was unachievable. I could be me, be a CEO and evolve in both.
We often tag so many emotions and stories to roles, we don't feel ready for when in fact it's easy to embody them when we explore how it might serve us better to embrace those roles and step in to our power of who we already are....rather than telling ourselves "we're not".
So in this episode I share what being the CEO means, it's a lot simpler than you might think and you're probably ready for it now.

As I’m preparing for maternity leave in October and scaling back my own tasks, behind the scenes we’re actually busy scaling up the business and really staying intentional and focused on what we want to achieve over the next six to eight months. I've been having questions from a number of you- “How are you doing it? How are you preparing for maternity leave? Who do you have on your team?” Clients are also curious- “I want to build a team. What are the first few things I should outsource or get support with? So in this episode of the Creating Social Impact podcast, we're gonna look at all of these questions. I'm sharing directly from my experience and insights of how I am building my own growth team. Maybe you've thought at some point along your journey you'll be ready to consider selling to corporates (or other organisations and businesses) in order to increase your revenue. But what if I told you, you don't need to wait. That in most situations where I speak to social enterprise owners, they're already able and capable of selling incredible offers to corporates with what they already have (knowledge, skills and expertise) and / or what they're already delivering.
Even if you've just set up your social enterprise it's possible that you could start selling to corporates straight away.
I cover it all in this episode, how you know and what you need to have (or put) in place to get started.

It's why I use it as a tool with most of my clients. When they know their WHY or when we reconnect to their WHY we can often quickly find solutions to the things their struggling with.
In this episode I talk about how knowing your WHY can help you define your impact strategy, decide what and how to measure your social impact and how it can help you make more money in your business.
It's also a great tool for connecting with people outside your organisation who you want to bring on board.

If you doubt whether you'll reach your income goal, worry about whether your prices are too high, are constantly thinking about changing your prices or offer, wondering how to market to the "right people", worried about whether it's the "right" offer, and how you're going to persuade anyone to buy....then listen in.

As a service based business owner, working with other organisations, there's always a reason why you want to work with ethical businesses, social enterprises, campaigning organisations and charities.
It's probably got something to do with the fact that you want to be part of creating change in the world, and you see you can add value in this way with your knowledge and skills.
I celebrate this. I LOVE working with these types of organisations too.
But don't get stuck in a trap of thinking there is no wealth in these sectors, and that we can't create it and transform society in the process.
You are part of the solution but you need to step outside of your comfort zone and create some new beliefs about wealth, value and pricing. In fact, in my experience (15+ years working in the voluntary, community & charity sector as well as the social enterprise sector) we all need to shift our thinking when it comes to aligning price with value.
This is episode is all about this and why that's important, as well as some top tips on how to start making the shift.

Do you always need a coach or mentor? No I don't think so but I do think they can be super helpful in keeping you on track towards your goals.
In this episode I talk about what the difference is between a coach and mentor, who might be best to work with at different times in your business, as they help in different ways.
I also share my journey to moving from being a mentor to becoming a qualified coach.
Why sometimes we're called to take a break and stop doing all the things in our business.
In this episode I talk about why I've had a break from sharing episode this past month or so, and how I'm managing pregnancy whilst business building, and not letting go of my ambitious goals.

You know how important I feel about social enterprises creating a profit in their business which is why I invited Annette Ferguson Chartered Accountant & Certified Profit First Professional to join me on the podcast today.
Profit First is a fantastic cash management system, designed by Mike Michalowicz. Annette uses this as a certified professional to help small businesses apply it to their business, so they can generate a profit and pay themselves as well as everything else that has to be spent on in a business.
I wanted to share this method with you and explore with Annette how it can applied specifically to social enterprises, and the difference it could make.
All to often I see social enterprises (and other small businesses) pay for all their operating expenses before allocating revenue to profit, salaries, pension and tax. The Profit First model flips the traditional "profit = revenue minus expenses" to "revenue - profit = expenses".
Learn more in this incredible episode and discover how you can start making a cash profit too.

This episode is a of a recorded session I ran with Nickala Torkington, as part of Flourish Together's week long series of sessions for International Women's Day this year (2021).
Nickala invited to me talk about this topic "putting the profit back in to non-profit" after a post I shared on facebook a few months back and subsequent conversations we had from it.
If you've been listening to my podcast for a while you will know how important I believe it is we re-evaluate and define what non-profit really means as social enterprises. And in this episode I explain it all, as well as discuss lots of other issues and questions that have arisen as a result of covid-19 over the past 12 months, for many social enterprises.
This is a different type of episode and brings insights not only from myself and Nickala but also some of the social entrepreneurs who attended the event and contributed their stories and experiences too.
About Nickala & FlourishNickala Torkington is co-Founder & Director of Flourish Together CIC. She has worked in the social enterprise support sector for over 15 years. I loved my conversation with Lisa Erhart this week where we discussed all this and more, as part of my series of episodes for International Women's Day (and month).
Lisa is a Grants Assessor, Funding Mentor and Investment Associate drawing on 20+ years experience to create online programs for female entrepreneurs getting ready to scale their impact businesses. Securing external funding to support growth can feel like a hunt for an allusive golden chalice but it doesn’t need to be that way. That’s why Lisa has created the Smart Women’s Guide to Business Funding. She joined me to share her insights and suggested ‘next best steps’ for women with high impact businesses (yes that's YOU!)
In this episode we discussed: * What is business funding, and what's available to small business owners and social enterprises? * What the difference between grants and impact investing is, and how to decide what might be right for you and where you're business is at right now. * Why it's so important women explore funding and investment options for their business * Why we're often put off as women to even explore options to help grow our businesses * Where you should start, even if you're brand new and very small * What you need to have in place to get started * Where the money is and how to identify funding and investment

This years theme for International Women's Day is Choose to Challenge.
I feel like my business (and current purpose) is to challenge the belief that: * as female social entrepreneurs were not able to generate unlimited wealth and income in our social enterprises * we're not confident in sales or making sales is somehow unethical * we can't charge what we truly desire, that reflects our true value or that stretch our own sense of self-worth * we are not worthy of whatever we desire.
So I'm handing over this whole month of episodes to incredible guest experts shedding more light on the issue of wealth, income and profit in the social impact and purpose driven business world.
As one of my guests shares... one way we can shift power and create more positive change is by having more money and wealth (both personally and in our businesses).

Jenny is one of my inspiring past clients. I remember being so excited to work with her both because of her vision and commitment to wanting to embed more social purpose in to her existing stationary business.
When Jenny reached out to me she had been running her business, HipHipHooray a wedding stationary business for 6 years, it was a very successful family-run business. The pandemic obviously brought it's challenges in 2020 as weddings were postponed and cancelled, orders started to dry up.
Jenny says it gave her time to pursue a niggling feeling that had been there for a while, to embed a social purpose at the heart of her business and turn it into a social enterprise.
So that's we got to work on late last summer.
In this episode Jenny shares her story of become an entrepreneur, and the steps she's taken to transform her business in to a social enterprise.
We discuss: * Why she decided a social enterprise was the right approach for her business * Her new social purpose and how she decided on working with women who face multiple disadvantage * What difference becoming a social enterprise has made to her business * The impact she's already created in just 6 months * Her plans and hopes for the business and she builds on her success of the past 6 months

Social and environmental is core to our social enterprises, so it makes sense that we measure and communicate this in a way that both demonstrates what we do, how we are delivering on our mission and aims, and shows how we plan to develop and deepen or grow our impact.
The most common way social enterprises do this is by writing an impact report, after doing the data collection and analysis (over a particular period of time).
In this episode I explore the importance of presenting your data and impact in a way that makes sense for your target audiences, and recognising that text-heavy reports are not always the best way to do this.
But what are the alternatives?
I share 6 creative ways to present your data and impact, including examples from some social enterprises on how they do this.
You can find out more about what I share in one of my blogs with the same title here.

If you ever feel lacking, not good enough, not worthy of your goals or reliant on achieving your goals to feel worthy then this episode is for you.
Amanda Mulder is a curious creator, passionate about connecting people to people, to nature and to their natural state of being. In her ‘previous’ life as a brand manager she searched for her worth outside of herself, believing it would be the next weight loss diet, house, course, job title, partner, travel destination that would fulfil her heart.
However over the past 5 years she's met, trained and worked with various inspirational coaches, healers and social entrepreneurs who questioned these beliefs and helped her connect and understand what self-worth is, and how if we connect to it is always with us - it's intrinsic.
In this episode we unpack: * The difference between self-worth and self-esteem * How to connect to your own sense of self-worth and feel worthy, valid and valuable as you are right now * The importance of self-care * We can open up a dialogue with all our parts and explore what wants to be heard so we can release and feel more alive and free from whatever is holding you back * Practical tips to building your sense of self-worth

Say what?
I find there's a lot of confusion about what a social enterprise is, and isn't, and what you "have" to do as one.
So in this episode I tackling the myths and mis-understandings of what it means to be a social enterprise.
In this episode I explore: * The definition is actually quite broad and allows for all types of businesses to be a social enterprise * What being a social enterprise actually requires * I explain why you don't have to give away your profits (as it isn't the only thing that defines a social enterprise) * I explore different options for paying yourself as the CEO, founder or an employee, so your income isn't dependant on profits * Why being a community interest company (CIC) isn't the only way to be recognised as a social enterprise

After 7 weeks in lockdown, here in Wales, I thought it was about time I share some very uninteresting insights in to how I'm getting through this second major lockdown.
Yes we're going there.
It's something we're all dealing with in our own ways right now so it felt weird not to talk about it here on the podcast.
For those of you not in the UK, we've been restricted to our homes since the 19th December, only allowed to go out for shopping or daily exercise. Schools are closed and everyone who can work from home is to work from home.
It's tough. And we still don't know when the restrictions will be lifted.
So just to remind you you're not alone, we each find our own way of coping (or not) I just thought I'd talk about it a little here.
Volunteering is a large and important part of the non-profit sector, as well as social impact and social justice organisations. However, despite people genuinely coming to volunteer from a place of altruism or wanting to make a difference, entrenched bias', prejudices and power can mean volunteering creates more harm than good to individuals and communities.
All to often volunteerism can include acts of paternalism, misuse of power, unhealthy volunteer/client dynamics, and, at times, powerlessness to actually affect change. In this episode I talk to Breaune Dorelus, Founder and Chief Cause Consultant at Connecting the Cause, a consultancy dedicated to dismantling harmful volunteer practices implemented by non-profits and volunteers towards Black and brown communities.
We discuss: * What's great about volunteering and community service, but also what can cause harm * Examples of specific harmful practices that go on which Breauna seeks to address by working with volunteers and leaders * What volunteering responsibly looks and feels like * How organisations can lead volunteer programmes that are working in partnership with the community, rather than to them * Top tips for volunteers wanting to do the internal work so they can volunteer responsibly and with the best interests of the community in mind
"Over the years, I saw people who looked like me made to feel powerless and less-than by volunteers, creating a continuous chain of unhealthy, co-dependent relationships between non-profits and those they serve.
Once I realized this trend, I started to challenge the norm by making small, intentional changes at the organizations I held positions in – changes that promoted the dignity and respect of clients. I assessed the effectiveness of volunteer opportunities in terms of self-sufficiency versus co-dependency, and finally moved towards the abolition of unhealthy volunteer programme practices.
The impact it made was clear to see – not only on our clients but also on our volunteers. Volunteers felt a deeper sense of connection to the cause. They felt informed. And I felt, for the first time, that we were making a true partnership between our volunteers and the community.
The community felt autonomy over their life, were served the way they wanted to be served, and were able to meet their own desired goals."
Breauna believes in community inclusion in all aspects of the volunteer process, and has dedicated her work to ensuring that service is centred around helping and not harming. Starting her 10+ year stint in the non-profit sector as an AmeriCorps member, she has continuously held positions in leading volunteers, creating programming, and spearheading community initiatives.

As social entrepreneurs pursuing a social and/or environmental mission our values matter. Which is often why I find my clients struggle with the idea of selling or generating income from selling.
It's not that selling is bad but their perception of what selling is.
My Aligned Sales Approach is based on the principle that you can sell and generate income from sales in a way that feels aligned to you, your business values and brand.
Sales don't have to be aggressive, manipulative, flashy, persuasive, forced. They can be whatever you want them to be.
They can be about creating an incredible experience for your clients, aligned to your values.
That's what I share in this episode, the key parts to creating your own aligned sales strategy, so you can feel comfortable, confident and excited about attracting and engaging new customers and clients.

GirlDreamer is the manifestation of Kiran Kaur and their best friends' passion for supporting their community with their journey through life - personally and professionally.
They envisioned a space where young women of colour could feel understood and supported in their pursuits and overcome cultural and societal challenges. It's not something they could find so they created it.
They started with no budget, no networks, no business plan and no community and in four years, have built a platform of over 12,000 social media followers, supported thousands of young women of colour directly through various programmes and initiatives and earned some awards along the way including: * One of Creative England's top 50 most exciting, innovative and disruptive creative companies * Most Influential Leadership Development Enterprise UK * Kiran has just been awarded Best Digital CEO 2020
After working with me in my Sell to Corporate course, Kiran has now developed an offer helping other organisations to utilise the power of social media to build and engage their target communities and authentically lead an EDI (equity, diversity and inclusion) path within their organisation.
In this episode we discuss: * The challenges Kiran faced when she didn't pursue the path that was expected of her * Creating the space and support she was looking for but couldn't find, so those behind her didn't have to face the same barriers * The award-winning initiatives GirlDreamer has designed and led * How my Sell to Corporate course helped her identify her unique gifts that she could sell to generate additional income * How you can fill out your programmes and offers using social media

To end the year I wanted to share two inspiring stories of social entrepreneurs who have exceeded their revenue goals, despite real challenges to their social enterprises in 2020, due to covid-19.
There have been a lot of challenges for all kinds of businesses this year and I'm not in anyway trying to distract from this or say "you just need to try harder" by sharing these stories. My purpose is to share hope, and ensure you hear it's absolutely possible to reach and exceed what you think is possible even when the unexpected happens.
In this second interview, I speak to my best friend and colleague, Jen Baughan, co-Founder and CEO of Solutions for the Planet (the social enterprise we set up together in 2013).
I wanted to get Jen back on the podcast to share her journey of delivering her schools programme in 2020, despite all schools closing in March due to covid-19. I wanted to share how Jen and her team decided to pivot how they delivered their programme so that the students and schools involved in their programme could still benefit despite not being in school. Not only did they successfully deliver a schools programme, they also exceeded their annual income goal by £10k.
In this episode we discuss: * How Jen has developed Solutions for the Planet over the last 8 years * The "threat" they faced in March with the prospect of schools closing and why they decided to continue it * What they had to do to pivot their schools programme to move it online so students, teachers and mentors could still participate * The process & experience of this huge shift in the way they delivered their programme over a 3 week period * The results and highlights Jen and her team have seen, including being awarded a WISE 100 woman * Jen's top tips for other social entrepreneurs wanting to adapt and grow in challenging times

Facebook Groups are by far one of the best ways to build a community of ready-to-buy clients and customers. That's exactly what my client, Rhian Mills, Founder of Rested Mama, wanted to do when she joined my Aligned Sales Mastermind in November.
Rhian already had a big following on her Facebook page, but she'd heard that engagement was better in groups as that's what Facebook was pushing these days - communities.
So she created a plan for attracting existing and new audiences to her new Facebook Group, and within a month attracted over 450 new members.
I wanted to share her experience with you, as the process she used is perfect for anyone wanting to build or grow their own Facebook Group in a short period of time.
We discuss: * Why Rhian decided to start a group and her initial goal * What her specific strategy was for growing the group and how you can do this too * What worked really well with this strategy? * What doubts/challenges/fears she faced and overcame? * What she learnt from doing it? * How to give incredible value that gets people results without giving away all your best stuff for free * Summary of Rhian's top tips for others thinking about using this strategy

As social entrepreneurs we know one of the best ways to increase our sales is to make sure more people know about who we are and what we do. PR is a great tool for this. Whether it's getting your story on the radio, in newspapers, online publications or being invited to be a guest on a podcast, I'm often asked: How do I get my story in the media?
So I'm really pleased to have Elma Glasgow, a PR expert working with ethical and wellbeing brands, to join the podcast this week and sharing all her insights from her 25 year career.
Elma started her career in PR after her News Journalism degree, she's worked with global entertainment brands such as Warner Bros., 20th Century Fox, and Sony Music, as well as with independent film and record companies. Over the years she's also worked for an array of organisations, including Comic Relief and the British Red Cross, and delivered not-for-profit, business, political, and consumer campaigns.
After severe burnout in 2017 she created a business based on her own values, that would allow her to live a more balanced life. She now helps businesses and experts in the ethical space raise their profile, by giving them a voice and driving positive change by getting into the press.
In this jam-packed episode we cover all things PR: * What is PR, on what approaches could you choose * How to know if you're ready for PR * How Covid is impacting PR and how to use this as an opportunity * How to tell a compelling story * How to find your niche target media * The importance of being transparent when building relationships with editors and journalists * ....and so much more from Elma's extensive experience and journey in the world of PR and journalism

If you've been following me for a while you know how much importance I put on the need for social enterprises to communicate and share their stories of social impact. Case studies are great way to do this, which is why this week I've invited Jenna Sloan, journalist and case study expert to share her wisdom on how to craft the perfect case study.
In this episode Jenna shares not only how and where we can use case studies but also how to craft them in a way that connects to people emotionally, so they want to find out more, connect with and follow you as an organisation leading change.
Jenna was a staff feature writer on national newspapers (Daily Mirror and The Sun) for 10 years. She went freelance in 2015 writing for national newspapers and magazines, and now focuses on working with small charities and social enterprises to help source, write and publicise their case study stories. She is also university lecturer in journalism.
"My favourite part of my job has always been telling the stories of everyday people who have found themselves in extraordinary circumstances, and many of those stories come to light because charities or social enterprises have been there to support those people. Sharing these stories, which really resonate with audiences, is such an important way to demonstrate your impact and to help your audience remember and engage with your business." Jenna Sloan.

When I started my first social enterprise, Solutions for the Planet, with my best friend Jen Baughan, we wanted to create a business that had a sustainable trading income that wasn't reliant on grant funding or corporate sponsorship.
We had an amazing programme inspiring the next generation of thought-leaders, scientists, engineers and entrepreneurs which there was demand for from schools but we wanted corporates and their employees involved too.
We had to figure out what they wanted so we could position it in a way that was attractive to them. And that's exactly what we did. We developed an offer that we have consistently sold for £12k/year to different corporate partners, since 2014.
Since then I've realised (and developed) three models for generating income from corporates as a social entrepreneur, which all use my tried and tested model for selling to corporates. I share it all in this episode to help you think through how you could package what you do to corporates.
Don't worry it's a quick simple training, and if you have any questions you can send me a message on Facebook or Instagram and I'll happily get back to you.

Tess has spent over a decade building and leading inclusive and empowered teams. After working in many different roles across a whole range of businesses from larger charities to fast-growing Tech start-ups, Tess gave birth to her first child in 2016 and realised that work wasn't designed for people like her. After two years of fighting for inclusion in her workplace she eventually decided to leave and found Collaborative Future: a social enterprise that aims to create work in which everyone is empowered to thrive.
Collaborative Future run a collaborative and flexible work placement programme which brings unemployed young people, freelancers and small businesses together to work and learn. Alongside, this Collaborative Future also works with organisations to challenge the status quo within our workplaces and supports teams to build deeper connections that will enable them to succeed in a complex and ever-changing world.
What we discussed in this episode: * Why most workplaces don’t suit the modern world and who we are today * How Tessa’s personal experience of being a freelancer created her idea for her social enterprise Collaborative Future * How to build trust and collaboration among diverse groups of people * Why it's vital for people to bring more of themselves into their work and what you can do as a leader to model this * Why our work placement programme is so popular with young women and young people of colour * ...and so much more great stuff about how we can lead they way we want to work!

If you’ve been struggling to reach your monthly income goal for a while, or don’t even have one then this is the episode for you.
This is where I get started with all my clients (1:1 and group programmes). Without this first step you can’t move forward.
It’s how as a social entrepreneur starting out 7 years ago I built our income from £14k to over £100k in 18 months.
It’s how I secured £60k in grant funding for our social enterprise when we were still relatively unknown and had never secured this kind of funding before.
It’s how I’ve secured 8 high paying coaching clients (£4000 each) in an sector everyone says has no money for such things.
It’s how I launch my courses and programmes that sell from £29 - £1000.
It’s how I help my clients make sales that align to their goals.
It’s all here for you - in two simple steps, but you have to actually do them to see the results.
Before you listen to this episode I want you to know it is absolutely possible for you to generate the income you truly desire in your social enterprise. You can create the impact your desire and you can be paid well for the work you do.

This episode with Lyn was such a fantastic conversation where we covered so much about mindset, money blocks and why money really matters even as a social entrepreneur or purpose-driven business owner. Without the income you cannot deliver the change you want to see in the world.
We discussed so much in this episode some of the highlights are:

So far in 2020 I've had 5 high ticket clients, work with me 1:1 in my Lead with Impact 12 week coaching programme for social entrepreneurs.
They have all been dream clients and all social entrepreneurs running or setting up social enterprises (and CIC's in all cases).
I wanted to share where each of these clients came from for three reasons: 1. So many people say social enterprises and social entrepreneurs can't and won't invest in coaching or high ticket services, that they don't have the money to invest...it's just not true 2. Many people ask me where they can find high ticket clients 3. And others ask me "Do I have to do sales calls to sell to high ticket clients?" (Sneak peak, the answer is no).
So in this episode I share exactly how these clients came to find and work with me. And although your business and offer may be different I share what I've learnt from reviewing where these clients came from to help you think through how to attract your next high ticket client or customer.

I was so pleased to come across Penny Elliott over two years ago now when I was still in the early days of growing my coaching business. I was looking for a coach who could help me with online marketing and sales, challenge me and support me in my mindset work. As soon as I spoke to her I knew she was the right sales coach for me.
Which is why when I was thinking about who to invite to join me on the podcast for this second series of episodes she was right at the top of my list.
Now I'm so much more confident in sales and realised this is my niche in helping social entrepreneurs too, it's great to have the woman who inspired much of my thinking and development in this area.
Penny is a no BS kind of coach, which is exactly the kind of person I needed in my corner. She says it how it is and brings a wealth of sales experience to the mix. Not only that she created a system that enabled her to generate £100k in 100 days as a coach.
It was also super exciting to hear on this call that Penny has just started her own for-purpose business using technology to improve accessibility for people with disabilities.
Penny Elliot is the founder of pennyelliott.com helping female entrepreneurs get momentum in their businesses to have the life and business the deserve. The sharp shooting kiwi gives direct advice that motivates and inspires women to reach for a higher version of themselves. Published in over 30 publications worldwide, she also love to be outside pushing herself in triathalon and running, completing 18 Ironman's including the World Champs and over 40 marathons. All while being a wife and mum to her son and crazy bengal cat.
Social entrepreneurship isn’t just about doing good in the world. It’s about doing the right thing. It’s about changing the status quo. It’s about challenging deeply entrenched norms, power dynamics and misguided truths which serve a minority of people. Social entrepreneurship is new and emerging. It is not one type of business model.
And yet time and time again I hear social entrepreneurs falling in to narratives that would assume it's one type of model, one type of solution, one trajectory, one reality.
And all too often this narrative is around believing services have to be offered for free or below market rate; that people won't pay for the services provided and that it's not possible to create a viable trading income as social enterprise, let alone a profit.
Well as someone who has experienced differently what is possible as a social entrepreneur and has a different narrative I thought it was about time I shared it here on the podcast.
So in this episode I'm sharing part of day 2 of my three day training: Pricing for Profit, and sharing exactly what the true value of social entrepreneurship is, why we must recognise this as social entrepreneurs and how to start believing in the true value you bring as a social entrepreneur.

When I started as a social entrepreneur I used to think measuring your social impact was something that could be done later on, at the end of the year or programme we were delivering. But then I realised not having our social impact data meant we couldn't communicate the difference we made to our stakeholders and customers.
I also realised it's quite difficult to "go back" and evaluate, review and collect data in retrospect and much easier to build impact measurement in to your operations as you go.
Measuring your social impact should be part of your normal operations; it doesn't have to be overly complex and it isn't a nice to have - it is essential.
Your social impact is often closely linked to WHY you exist as a business, so if you're not able to demonstrate the change your creating people will wonder what you're doing and why you're doing it.
In this episode I share why measuring your impact matters and key things for you to think about no matter where in your journey you are.

Evelina Lundqvist and Malin Leth met 1.5 years ago digitally, and sharing the same purpose of reaching a zero-waste society, they came up with ideas on actions to take together. One of them was a podcast, and another idea was a toolkit for workshops.
In this episode, Evelina and Malin share how they use their Methodkit for Sustainable Organisations to help organisations measure their social and environmental impact.
Methodkit for Sustainable Organisations, is a deck of cards, each representing a different perspective that’s important to bring to the discussion of sustainability or social impact.
Evelina and Malin share how we all naturally come to problems and solutions with 3-4 key perspectives that are intrinsically important or of most interest to us, but we then miss out on so many other equally important perspectives that need to be considered for sustainable development.
What we discuss in this episode:

There's a huge opportunity for social enterprises to sell to corporates which is not being tapped into. Danielle Aberg is problem solver and thought innovator extraordinaire, with a sense of humour, and a passion for diversity & inclusion whilst helping individuals and businesses think outside the box.
She is the Founder of CSRCo. a social value consultancy that helps businesses add value within their workforce, supply chain and the wider community. Dani predominantly works with corporates, often designing and delivering programmes that deliver social value. With a background in youth and community development Dani has a knack for bringing together businesses with community in a way that is mutually beneficial and sustainable.
And that's why I invited her on to the podcast. I am super passionate about helping more social enterprises realise the opportunities for working with (and selling to) corporates (and not asking for sponsorship). Dani shares incredible insights in to how she believes this can be done.
What we covered in this episode: * From a background in youth and community work, Dani shares how she built her business after seeing a gap in the support corporates and SMEs needed to deliver the social value required for public sector contracts. * Why Dani feels its essential for businesses to build in corporates social responsibility and social value in to the core of their business and it not just being an add on * The CareerChangers - Women in to Construction project as an example of the types of work corporates are increasingly looking for social enterprises to support them with * The opportunities available for social enterprises to work with corporates * Dani’s top tips for securing work with corporates as a social enterprise * The three pillars of social value * How you can add value when working with corporate partners * How being authentic and the networker helps build your brand as the person to go to

Emily Kennedy is a social entrepreneur, Forbes 30 Under 30, Toyota Mother of Invention, one of Entrepreneur's Most Powerful Women, a keynote speaker, and podcaster, but the main reason I brought her on the podcast is because she’s working with some of the brightest minds to use AI to fight human trafficking.
It may surprise you to know that Emily does not have a background in AI or technology. In college, Emily focused her senior thesis on how to use big data to fight sex trafficking, which turned into a job, which then turned into her company and software, Traffic Jam, which has helped identify 6,800 victims in the last 2 years.
I’ve long had an interest in understanding how we could tackle human trafficking so it was fantastic to be connected with Emily and learn about what she’s doing.

It was an absolute pleasure to have Vicky Smith, Founder of Earth-Changers on the podcast this week, sharing her extensive knowledge and expertise on everything to do with the travel industry, including our contribution to it as businesses and consumers/travellers.
We don’t just talk about social impact in this episode, but environmental and economic impact - positive and negative - and the fact that’s it’s not always as simple and straightforward as we might like to think it is.
In this episode we covered:

Jen Gale is incredible at helping find practical inspiration for small easy steps to get started living a more sustainable lifestyle, and to consume more consciously.
Her social enterprise Sustainable(ish) is all about how we can all live a more sustainable(ish) life without having to shun the shops, and live off grid in a yurt in the woods (not that there is anything wrong with living off grid in a yurt in the woods if that is what floats your boat).
I love Jen's simple approach to how it's not all or nothing, every action we take makes a difference and often creates a ripple effect on others too. A blogger and podcaster turned sustainable living campaigner, author and speaker Jen shares both the challenges and reality of measuring her social enterprises' impact that's practical and meaningful.
In this episode Jen shares: * How Jen’s journey started from deciding to buy nothing new for a year [1:45] * Making the connection to what we were buying and throwing away [3:35] * The ripple effects of small actions we take [5:15] * The two most powerful things you can do to create a sustainable impact (and it’s not going Vegan) [10:00] * You don’t have to do all or nothing [15:15] * The Sustainable(ish) Living Guide and the 12 areas of your life to focus on [16:30] * How to demonstrate people have taken action as a result of your course/training [20:35] * The key lesson to measuring and demonstrating your social impact when your big focus is to tackle the climate crisis, reduce waste or reduce people's carbon footprint [27:00] * The things Jen’s learnt being a social entrepreneur she’d love you to know [33:00]

In this weeks episode I speak to Megan Kitt, Founder of Tuli a fairtrade jewellery business that creates employment in East Africa. We talk about the power of sustainable employment and economic independence in tackling poverty.
Megan has a really interesting back-story of how she came to become a social entrepreneur, starting out as a journalist and part-time model which both ultimately helped inspire and create the opportunity for her to create a jewellery business.
What I found really powerful talking to Megan was the fact that scaling impact isn’t always about the number of people you’re working with, supporting or employing – and that providing sustainable employment opportunities to individuals is key to tackling poverty long-term.

When your business goal is to help people in your community make inspired lifestyle changes to reduce their impact on the planet’s natural resources, it can feel daunting to know where to start with measuring your impact.
How do you know people are inspired by what you're doing? How do you know they're making changes as a result of interacting or purchasing from you?
These are all questions founders, Tash Gorst and Laura Swidzinska, of the refillery store Gather, were exploring when I met them back in January at my Retreat for Female Social Entrepreneurs. Questions that they're getting clearer on how they plan to answer with their impact measurement approach.
Just a year in to trading, when we recorded this podcast, Tash and Laura have created a profitable social enterprise and I wanted to share their story here for three reasons:
a) I think it's really interesting that they see their refillery store as just the starting point of their engagement with customers and exciting that they have a lot more going on "than just selling things" as part of their master plan for creating change.
b) They're happy to talk about their journey and what they've learnt along the way, which I think will be super helpful to other social entrepreneurs just starting out
c) and when it comes to impact measurement, they admit, they don't have it all figured out but they're taking action on what they can now and sharing hear how they're getting started.
And if you're interested in how to start thinking about measuring how you're reducing or limiting waste as a business or how your thinking about measuring customer behaviour changes as part of your social impact then this is going to be a great episode for you.
In this episode we discuss: * What a low waste refillery is and how Gather is more than just a store [1:11] * How Gather has embedded their values in the way they run their business [5:56] * How co-founders, Tash and Laura, met and set up Gather [7:18] * Top Tips based on what Tash and Laura have learned along the way [8:56] * "Not being ready" but just getting on and doing it anyway [11:04] * The changes Gather made during Covid-19 [12:57| * How Gather measure their impact and the difference they’ve made in less than one year [16:18] * Tash’s thoughts on what the future holds post pandemic [23:50] * How to find your nearest zero waste store, and how to connect with Gather [32:42] * Where the name “Gather” came from [33:37]
“Where you spend your money is a vote for the kind of planet that you want to be living in. It’s something that we, as a business, would like to get a bit more involved in - making people aware of campaigns ... like the Green New Deal. In terms of individually, thinking about the brands that you’re spending your money with ...are they aligned with your values, and making whatever small changes that you possibly can".
About Tash & LauraGather isn't the sort of store you open without a backstory.
For Tash, things kicked off after she had a child. Being a parent made her think about things a bit differently. A Plastic Ocean really woke her up to the damage single-use plastic packaging was doing. So she decided to take a stand for her son's sake.
As for Laura, she was brought up in a home where the heating only went on when icicles had formed on your nose. But it wasn’t until she stumbled across Earth.Food.Love in Totnes that her eyes opened to a whole world of simple, affordable, sustainable products.
Today, they both try to live more sustainable lives. "It was tough at first, but along the way we've discovered the joy (yes, really) of plastic-free kitchen scrubbies, eating by the seasons and rifling through second-hand stores."

I love helping clients measure the social and environmental impact they create in their social enterprises and in the next few episodes we’ll hear from different social entrepreneurs doing exactly that but I wanted to start this season with Heidi to explain the difference between social impact and social value, as well as when you should think about measuring social value in addition to your impact.
But there is so much more included in this episode.
Heidi Fisher MBE has a background in accountancy in the social enterprise sector, she transitioned to helping social entrepreneurs more holistically as a Social Impact Specialist and now helps social entrepreneurs measure their social impact and social value, whilst supporting them to set up and grow their social enterprises.
We have a lot in common and it was a joy to discuss our shared passions and interests in supporting the social enterprise sector. Heidi not only explains what social value measurement is but how it can help you as a social enterprise apply for grants and tenders, as well as the pitfalls to avoid.
“Social impact is about the difference or the change that you make to people, the economy or the environment. And then the next step in terms of social value is really thinking about how can we maximize the impact that we create for every pound that we spend. So it's about saying, if we create these impacts….what's their value essentially…”

Hey, I’m so excited to be kick-starting my new podcast series for you the woman who’s creating social and environmental change through entrepreneurship. Welcome.
For those of you who don’t know me yet, I’m Kat Luckock a social entrepreneur and business coach passionate about helping women create thriving, sustainable businesses that create incredible social and environmental impact. You can find out more about me here: www.shareimpact.org
I wanted to re-launch my podcast this year with a focus on more practical tips, tools and advice about how you can start, grow and scale your social enterprise.
In season one we’re getting started with all things impact measurement. This is one of my favourite topics to talk about and support social enterprises about because impact measurement is key to building trust in your brand and having transparency. Without evidence to demonstrate what you’re doing you can’t build long term engagement with your customers and stakeholders, it’s almost impossible to secure funding or win contracts and it having your impact data also enables you to develop your impact story helping you to attract attention and leverage support.
I’ll be interviewing 12 incredible female social entrepreneurs who will be sharing their stories and experience as well as telling us about why they do what they do, how their working towards their vision and how they measure their social or environmental impact. We’ve also got some “impact and research specialists” sharing their insights about different ways to think about impact and measurement.
It's all starting at the end of July 2020.
If you have specific questions you’d like to ask me or my guests then feel free to join us in my free private Facebook group The Impact Entrepreneurs Club and you’ll also get the opportunity to connect with hundreds of other social entrepreneurs from all around the world.
If this excites you and sounds like something you want to stick around for then make sure to hit subscribe so you don’t miss any episodes.
Have a great week and speak to you soon.
