One of the main reasons for Jude writing his epistle was to expose false teaching in the first century Church. After an intense week for our church body we continue our fall teaching series "Battling For The Truth" student pastor Garris Hudson teaches from verses 12-13 and then he will apply that to the current church battles in our day. The title of the message is “Six Signs of a False Teacher"."
Pastor Larry continues his current teaching series Battling For The Truth, with a message title “Understanding the Sovereignty of God.” He gave us nine verses about Gods sovereignty and five facts about the incredible knowledge of God.
As usual, Pastor Larry does not shy away from giving Biblical answers to difficult questions. He will tackle a big one today, as he teaches on the Rebellion of Korah from Jude 11 and relates that to the political and moral battles of our day. He will answer the question: “Should Christians STAY OUT of Politics?” He will show us the relationship Jesus had with politics and politicians, and he will examine the political involvement of Old Testament Bible characters as well. He will deal with our responsibility before God as citizens of this country. It will be a powerful, thought provoking study with our Pastor that everyone in the Cross Pointe Family needs to hear!
Today Pastor Larry delivers a powerful message entitled "Family Feud: The Story of Cain and Abel." He tackled the tough question of understanding "The Way of Cain". Why was Cain rejected? Why was his offering refused? How does this show us a portrait of the theological battles of the modern church?
We are going through the Book of Jude verse by verse on Sunday mornings and it has been a great journey so far. Today, Pastor Larry is tackling verses 8-9 this Sunday as he answers two questions: Does God still speak through dreams today and can believers rebuke the Devil?

So, get ready to hear: “Battling for the Truth” as Jude commends each believer to be prepared to know the truth, live the truth, defend the truth, and share the truth about Jesus with a lost, empty world that desperately needs Him.
Our summer teaching series has been “The Great Prayers of the Bible”. It is a series that could go on for months, but, sadly, it will come to the end today. Pastor Larry has a perfect ending on as he tells the story of Simon Peter walking on the water and then saying the shortest prayer in the Bible - “Lord, Save Me!”
We are coming to the end of a great teaching series by Pastor Larry on “Great Prayers of the Bible”. One of the greatest prayers ever prayed is the prayer of Jesus for His Church in John 17. What a powerful chapter and message.

The typical American knows that some of the sweetest words on earth are, “Debt Free!” Perhaps the worst debt is unforgiveness. Pastor Larry is dealing with that very issue today as we continue our verse by verse, word by word study of the Lord’s Prayer.
We have more Americans without daily food in America today than anytime in the last century. Prices for food are at an all-time high. So, our study of the Lord’s Prayer today is very important to all of us. We need to understand what Jesus meant when He taught us to pray - “Give us this day our daily BREAD”.

God is truly speaking and that’s what we are talking about today - How to hear His voice. The phrase we are fixed upon is, “Thy Will be Done”. Today is Palm Sunday so we remember false worship from fake disciples as Jesus entered Jerusalem to begin His Passion Week. We focused on James 5, where we find this phrase mentioned for the only time in Scriptures - “The Judge Is Standing at the Door.” What does that mean? How do we apply that to our lives?

It is a message that relates to our ungodly culture and the distractions it brings to living a pure and godly lifestyle.
Our winter teaching series begins today and will be a verse-by-verse study of the Book of James led by Pastor Larry. He will be sharing some of his personal notes from his deep studies of the text each week as we take this life-changing journey through James.
Today, Pastor Larry is finishing his series on the Feasts of Israel with a combination of two Feasts together – Yom Kippur (The Day of Atonement) and The Feast of Tabernacles. Both of these Feasts are portraits of prophetic events of the last days when Jesus comes back to earth to judge, rule, ad reign. It should be a “humdinger” (Larry language!) of a way to close out the old year and bring in the new!
We are studying the 7 Feasts of Israel with Pastor Larry on Sunday mornings. Today, we will study the first Fall feast, The Feast of Trumpets. This feast was a time of worship to blow the Jewish shofar to call for God to send the Messiah to earth. Pastor Larry is going to explain how this is a picture of the sound of the trumpet at the Rapture of the Church, which is the blessed hope of every believer.
We are going through an incredibly exciting and deep teaching series this fall on the Seven Feasts of Israel. Today was awesome as Pastor Larry takes us into a study of the Feast of First Fruits to see an incredible picture of Christ and an insightful view of our salvation as believers in Christ. Pastor Larry just completed an awesome series in the Book of Esther...what is next?? Today, we launch our new teaching series in “The 7 Feasts of Israel”. We begin with a study of the Passover and how the blood of the sacrificed Lamb saved Israel and delivered them to victory!
We have had a great teaching series in the Book of Esther by Pastor Larry that concludes today with a bang! We will focus on Esther chapter 9 and deal with a number of key issues:
Did Israel have the right to defend themselves when attacked and do they today?
Does Israel today contain people who are not real Jews?
How do we effectively share the Gospel with Muslims?
What does the Bible say about Capital Punishment?
How do you overcome generational curses?
Our adventure through Esther has been so exciting! Today we move on to chapter 7 and hear from Pastor Larry a sermon on the shocking, sudden death of Haman in a powerful message entitled, “PAYDAY SOMEDAY!”. What a reminder that there is day of judgment coming when God Himself will bring justice to evil doers and will honor those who obey Him.
We will have a very special service today as we continue our series in the Book of Esther into the sixth chapter. We have several guests at our church who serve in a national motorcycle ministry team known as the Faith Riders. They are in town to share the Gospel at Bikes, Blues and Bar-B-Q. Dr Benny Reynolds, President of the Florida Faith Riders and long- time pastor in Florida, shared in the service.
We have made it all the way to Chapter 5 of the Book of Esther in our teaching series, “For Such A Time As This!”. Today, Pastor Larry is teaching in Esther chapter 5 in a message on prayer and worship entitled, “Approaching The King!”. What a deep time in the Word and worship awaits us.
We welcome the end of summer today with Part 3 of our teaching series on Esther - “Introducing Haman, the Adolph Hitler of the Persian Empire!” (Esther 3). It is Family Worship Sunday and a day to remember our flag and pray for our country. And you will love getting the chance to share in the Jewish custom of booing at the name of Haman, the enemy of Israel.
Pastor Larry launched our new series on Esther (“For Such a Time as This”) last Sunday and the excitement has begun! Today, we move on to chapter 2 in a deep message entitled, “The Miss Persia Beauty Pageant” as we see Esther competing for the title of Queen of the largest empire in the world. Did she choose to enter this pageant...or was she forced? If she was forced, where was God when she was taken by the King? Why did He allow this? And where was God when you were hurting as well?
Today Pastor Larry is launching his new teaching series on “The Book of Esther – For Such a Time As This!”. He will cover chapter one this week and has a teaching message entitled, “When the Queen Said NO!”
We are getting close to the end of our series on I John. Today, Pastor Larry will
focus on the first 12 verses of chapter 5 as we study on the Security of the Believer in a
powerful message entitled, “How Can I Know For Sure That I Am Saved?”. Do you doubt
that you are going to Heaven? Do you not have that blessed assurance that comes from
knowing that you know Jesus?
Pastor Larry is fired up about today's message as we continue our series on I John. We are in chapter 4 and are dealing with this subject "WHAT THE WORLD IS HUNGRY FOR!”
Pastor Larry is continuing his series in I John today, as he takes us deeper into chapter 4 and a study in spiritual warfare and the biography of Satan entitled, “Greater Is He Who Is In Us”. This will be an awesome word from the Lord for the dark days in which we are living.

Many people today wonder, “Does God really love me? Does He still want me even when He sees my failure?”. Pastor Larry answered those questions today as he leads us in a study of I John 3:1-3.
Pastor Larry is taking us through the book of I John and today we land in I John 2:18-23 and deal with the question, “Are we Living in the Last Days?” What a powerful, timely message from the Lord. We also honored our fallen heroes with a flog presentation by one of our fine Army officers, Dave Pelkey. We celebrated a Cross Pointe team of softball champions and prayed over our mission team heading to Arizona to work on the reservation there.
We continue our teaching series through I John today as Pastor Larry teaches on a very important and timely message from I John 2:15-16, “The Love God Hates”. The issue before us is dealing with worldliness in the personal life of the believer.
Mother’s Day is today and we have an exciting day of worship planned as Pastor Larry keeps us in our series on I John and we focus on verses 1-9 of chapter 2, “What Every Mother Wants Her Children to Remember!”
So many believers in Christ have drifted away from Him. It is another sign that we are getting closer to the end times. But true believers always want to come back home and have renewed fellowship with the Lord. Pastor Larry dealt with that issue today as we continue in our study of I John.
