The fear of failure gripes us from time to time. We are given some kind of challenge but sometimes when it comes to the crunch we are overtaken by the grip of fear. For some it is flying or getting into a lift for others it can be shyness or stage fright. The fear of failure can grip us when we least expect it and yet at other times the fear is there as the countdown to the dentist ticks by. Some Believers cant wait to get stuck into the ministry that God has for them and others become stressed at the prospect of stepping out. Fear of failure can be strong because we see our own inadequacies mainly in human terms. With God nothing is impossible. God gave Moses so much reassurance in lots of areas. We know this story has a good ending, Red sea, Ten commandments and after 40 years in the wilderness because of disobedience the Israelites reached the promised land. We must draw good conclusions from this story and apply the idea that God is empowering us just like He empowered Moses. Don’t let the fear of failure drive you, trust God for success in all that you are called to do.

We all want to hear the words from God, ‘Well done good and faithful servant’.

There are times when, like Elijah that we feel alone, times when we could throw in the towel, but like the remnant we must rise up to the challenges that God has put before us, we must remain faithful and continue to put God first in our lives with worship, prayer, personal revelation. Shut out the enemy, shut out the devil, shut out worldly living and accept Christ even more fully and completely that you have ever before. Be the remnant.

Psalm 1. How tragic that people are perishing when Jesus offers abundant and eternal life! Contrast tree and chaff if you want to see the difference between the godly and the ungodly. The godly receive blessing but the ungodly receive judgment. The psalm starts with “blessed” and ends with “destruction.” The choice is ours. Jesus died on a cross for the sins of the world. All who look to Him and accept Him by faith receive eternal life. This is the message for us. This is the message for others. This message will bring healing to the nations.
Part 3 of a 4 part series on 'One smothering' taken from the book of Romans. As Christians we must look at the world through Christ’s eyes. Instead of judging others, which ultimately pulls them and us down, we should look to building up people through encouragement and looking out for their spiritual well being.
Part 2 of a 4 part series on 'One anothering' taken from the book of Romans. Christians should be able to empathize with others, both believers and unbelievers. Paul commanded, Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. Because believers are a body, when one part hurts, everyone feels the pain; when one is joyful, everyone can rejoice. Christians cannot be indifferent to the suffering or joy of their fellow believers. Living in harmony with one another is something that Believers must work at continually.
Part 1 of a 4 part series on "One smothering" taken from the book of Romans. Hosea 11:1–4. In this passage, “God reveals Himself as a Father who is tender, close to His children, and sensitive to their needs—teaching, encouraging, helping, and healing them. Growing up is not something that He leaves to chance. As Christians we also need to teach, help and encourage one another, not in our strength but in His.
