David Silver is a Tax Partner in the RSM McLean, Virginia office with over 20 years of experience in corporate tax and accounting. David has twice won RSM's National Achievement Award for Client Relationships and won the Team award for his lead in recruiting efforts at Bucknell University. He graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Bucknell University and received his Master of Taxation from American University.
Kate Hoppe
Tax Manager
Kate Hoppe is a manager within the Credits, Incentives & Methods practice in RSM’s San Francisco office. She joined our firm back in 2016 after earning her degree at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Her areas of expertise include federal and state R&D tax incentives and IRS examination support. In her current role, Kate assists in growth of the Bay Area practice by identifying, implementing, and substantiating tax credits and deductions for clients in the technology, software, and industrial and consumer products industries.

Carlos Hernandez is an Audit Partner in the RSM Miami office and received a Bachelor of Science degree from MacMurray College. He is also the southeast leader of RSM's health care practice with over 22 years of public accounting and financial management experience focused in the health care industry.
Joel Shamon
National Audit Leader
Joel Shamon is the National Audit Leader for RSM US LLP and is based in Boston. He is responsible for the leadership and management for the audit line of business including strategy execution, growth and profitability of the practice, oversight of the development and implementation of audit policies and procedures, audit learning and development, and the development and maintenance of audit technology tools and applications. Joel graduated from the University of Massachusetts - Amherst with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Accounting emphasis.
