From the depths of Crown Heights come The Popcorn Pals; a movie loving duo that just can't seem to stay on topic, but whose antics will surely stay in your hearts. Whether a new release, a Hollywood classic, or something in between, The Pals promise a sometimes informative, ofttimes ludicrous, and consistently twisted view of cinema and the world. So tune in, turn on, and stay outta their goddamned seats!
CAN'T STOP THE MUSIC (1980) Disco was long dead when super producer Allan Carr thought a full length feature starring Village People would be a good idea. It wasn't. Making matters worse, Carr turned the directorial reigns to Nancy "Rhoda's Mom" Walker, who'd never directed before, and never would again. And Caitlyn Jenner is in it, and he tries to act. For Episode 58 of the piranha-filled kiddie pool we call a podcast, The Popcorn Pals catch the 1980 travesty that is CAN'T STOP THE MUSIC on the big screen, in 35mm no less. Beyond a mere Sterling Stinker, this is one of the most gloriously awful movies ever made!

RAW (2016) Julia Ducournau's debut feature, the controversial 2016 French import, RAW, is this season's finest date movie, provided you eat your date. But seriously, please join The Popcorn Pals for Episode 57 of the burning stable we call a podcast, as we sink our teeth into this tasty, unique treat.

LADY BATTLE COP (1990) The Popcorn Pals return to Alamo's Video Vortex for Episode 56 of the podcast. The trailer for the 1990, Japanese, "Robocop" ripoff, LADY BATTLE COP, is a wonder to behold. The movie? Not at all! In fact, we got us a Sterling Stinker on our hands! Our take? Listen to the episode, check out the trailer, and stay away from the full feature at all costs!

GET OUT (2017) For all you little punks out there in podcast land that've been writing in saying that The Popcorn Pals only talk about old movies and nobody wants to hear that so talk about new movies, and we said okay, to a point. We'll do our best to review new movies more this year, heck, this is our fourth in under three months, but we will never stop reviewing older fare, no matter how old. Or unknown. Or stinky. Anyhoozles, releases don't get much more recent than 2017 (unless, of course, you're reading this in the future, which is where we all shall live), the year an acclaimed chiller that Jordan Peele wrote and directed came out. It was called GET OUT, and The Popcorn Pals reviewed it in Episode 55. And we stopped writing in the past tense long enough to say:
