What is it that makes Gracepoint a point of grace for its members and the community at large? It is the mission of meeting people where they are and showing them Jesus as we go about our every day lives. It is making an impact through love and understanding. We do this, not the building or the kitchen, US, every one of us that attend Gracepoint or listen to us where you are. Be that point of grace in this new year and God will use your efforts to ripple across the world.
Faith for when your lot falls. It is not about the faith to get you through the good times, but the faith to follow God when he calls on you to believe the unbelievable. The birth of John the Baptist was one of these moments for his parents. It also proves that God is able to take your doubts and overcome them to make it work.
The Disciples asked Jesus to teach them to pray, as other Rabbi had done. His response is what ever child learns. Our Father, which is in Heaven. Is is a conversation, a supplication and a prediction all in one prayer. Simple yet loaded with love and guidance, Jesus shows through a prayer the power of the Father and the relationship that grows from giving all to the Lord.
