For Jesus: it is UNTHINKABLE that we would identify with him and NOT be in training. As his popularity is skyrocketing, Jesus tells his disciples that the student is not above the teacher, but everyone who is fully trained will be LIKE their teacher.
What he doesn't say: + Everyone who is fully trained will be ready to be let into heaven.
The far horizon for Jesus is not for people to GATHER around him, but for people to be LIKE him and invite others into that life. Doesn't that sound heavenly?
