A beautiful day Church Family!

Join us today with the first installment of our John Week sermon series, with the sermon entitled: I Saw the Sign.

Signs are important for it tells us the meaning and importance of something else. John made use of signs to point all readers to Jesus as the Son of God.

It is our prayer that as we dive deeper in the Book of John, we would fully believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing in Him, we will have life in His name (John 20:31).

2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”

In today’s message, entitled Extreme Makeover, we get to look deeper into God’s word in Colossians 3: 1-17. Here the author, Paul, urges believers to embrace a transformed lifestyle.

Join us today as we learn to REFOCUS: picking being Christlike over being Christlack; to REMOVE: deciding if you are killing sin or is sin killing you; and lastly, to REMEMBER: choosing between being a follower over just a fan.

Our relationship with Christ leads to a new life. Let us embrace it!

Try holding your breath…
How long can you hold it?
Praying is like breathing. Just as breathing is essential to our physical well-being, so is prayer to our soul. Prayer is such a fundamental part of the Christian life.
Martin Luther said, "To be a Christian without prayer is no more possible than to be alive without breathing."
Perhaps today, we need to experience breathing again. Prayer is a remarkable privilege and blessing for a Christian, a means by which we experience and know the fellowship we have with the Father through our union with Christ.
As we can’t survive long without breathing, we can’t also last long without prayer.
Let us all learn together how to BREATHE.
Jeremiah 29:11 says “then you will call on me and come to me, and I will listen to you.”

"We are in the last Sunday of the month of May and are on our fourth week learning about some of the basics of Christian living. This Sunday we get to learn about rest – and not just an ordinary rest but the rest that the Bible calls, Sabbath.

Our world today is so fast-paced and all around us tells us to move even faster. So how do we “slow down” when even sleeping isn’t seen as rest but an escape from this world. One way we can “slow down” is to observe our sabbath.

As we listen to today’s message based on one of the 10 Commandments – “Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy.”, may we learn to purposefully and intentionally take time out from this world to connect to God and experience true rest.

God has given us Sabbath – for a chance to rest, an opportunity to trust and an invitation to experience His faithfulness. Let us learn to observe Sabbath.

“All of us must stand guard at the door of our souls and spirits with the correct armor donned in preparation for battle. Soldiers do not wait until threats are detected in the distance, shots are fired, or enemies are breaking down their doors to prepare for battle. No, soldiers are ready in advance! They are suited up for war- prepared from first light with others standing watch throughout the night! It is to be the same for those of us fighting in this battle for our eternal lives! Why do we so often insist on going out to face the enemy unprepared and ill equipped? Surely, we do not enjoy defeat- we do not wish to be knocked in the ditch of life, to backslide and fall away from our first love- our Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ."

So put on the Full Armor of God - be a Warrior of God and be ready to pray; Just as what Paul said in Ephesians 6:18, "And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people."

..Praise..Repent..Act..Yield..

We started last week with one of the basics – being rooted in Christ. This Sunday, we continue our series with learning some basic key words as we go along our journey as followers of Christ.

As school teachers drill young students on basics like addition, subtraction and the alphabet, we should also learn of Christian living basics in order to establish firm spiritual building blocks to support our future growth.

The Apostle Paul’s letter to the Ephesians in our scripture for today emphasizes that salvation is only by grace through faith in Christ Jesus. As we listen to today’s service, may we be able to learn the key words that would help us better understand and appreciate this free gift that God is offering to us.

Happy listening and to all our beloved mothers - Happy Mothers’ Day!

Happy 6th Anniversary church! Thank You Lord!

Today, we celebrate not only a new series for the month of May but we celebrate 6 years of fun, fellowship and favor because of the Lord’s goodness and faithfulness.

Being disciples of Jesus Christ that makes disciples starts with us connecting to God. It depends where our roots are planted. Today’s sermon entitled – FIRST ROOTS – highlights the importance of abiding in Christ, connecting to Him and being always rooted in Him.

1 JOHN 2:6 says “The one who says he abides in Him ought to himself walk in the same manner as He walked.” May we always remember that apart from Him, we do not have life. Abiding is seen in the lives we live as we are connected to the true vine.

Let’s go BACK TO THE BASIX --- start with being rooted in Christ!

“Faith is not believing that God can, but God will.” Abraham Lincoln

The African impala can jump to a height of over 10 feet and cover a distance of greater than 30 feet. Yet these magnificent creatures can be kept in an enclosure in any zoo with a 3-foot wall. The animals will not jump if they cannot see where their feet will fall. Faith is the ability to trust what we cannot see, and with faith we are set free from the weak enclosures of life.

Today, we'll end our two months-long series with a message entitled, Over-the-top Faith! Extreme, outrageous faith! But not only on the part of Abraham, but also on Isaac. Join us as we culminate this month remembering how these father and son demonstrated an over-the-top kind of faith.

Jeremiah 17:7-8

7 “But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. 8 They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.”

And when Daniel was lifted out of the den, no wound was found on him, because he had trusted in His God. Daniel 6:23

Daniel in the lions’ den – one of most known stories of the Bible – has been a source of inspiration for many devotionals and preachings about faith during challenging times.

Daniel was given the punishment of being put in the lions’ den for not following the law of praying only to the King for 30 days. Daniel knew that it was safest when he puts God above everything about him. Because of these, God had spared Daniel’s life by shutting the mouths of the lions in the den.

Today’s sermon entitled, Faith in Your Lions’ Den, shows us how Daniel demonstrated his faith during this tough time of his life. He showed faith in his works, his devotion, during challenges and in his testimony.

Just as King Darius acknowledged that God is really the living God through Daniel’s life of faith, may others also see our lives showcasing the same true living God, as we live for Him – in faith.

Hebrews 11:30 “By faith the walls of Jericho fell, after the army had marched around them for seven days.” It wasn’t by canons, siege machines; and it wasn’t getting over the wall by a ladder. It was by faith – faith in God. We see this happening in the book of Joshua.

This Sunday service’s sermon title is Faith versus walls.

What are the walls in your life that you want to see fall down? Is it a difficult or broken relationships, a stubborn sin, doubt, depression, feelings of insecurity and insignificance? Is it your past? Unforgiveness? You have prayed, walked and waited, and yet the walls before you still stand tall and strong, making you feel small and forgotten. These are the walls that need to fall today. These are walls that need to come down today. How? By faith, faith in our God Almighty!

Just like Joshua and the Israelites facing the walls of Jericho, the Lord is saying, your battle has already been won.

With instructions for conquest that are very unusual and weird, Joshua and the Israelites continued to move forward by staying in the course that God gave to them.

But without God’s power, the Walls of Jericho never would have fallen. Today, as we listen to God’s word, may we realize our desperate need for God in our lives.

It’s April church fam!

A new month with new messages from the Lord as we continue our series Faith in Action.

As we read through Hebrews 11: 29-40, we learn of the causes and effects of a faith in action. We will see in these verses the men and women whose faith was noteworthy to be included in Hall of Faith in the Bible.

These people remained faithful in the Lord and had accomplished great things for Him.

May we all learn from their stories of faith and also remain faithful.

When impossible situations hit you, how do you respond?

We are in last Sunday of March with the series Faith in Action. Our character today, Peter, was imprisoned and was heavily guarded. While he was in prison, the church prayed earnestly for him. In the eve of his trial, God answers their prayers by sending an angel to rescue him. He went to the home of Mary and they didn't believe the news of a servant girl saying that Peter is standing at the door and even exclaimed "You are out of your mind!"

There are so many "ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND" stories on the bible. And these stories have one message: "Do not attempt to do God's work in man's way! TRUST IN HIM! Even if it is unreasonable and impossible. Is there anything too hard for the Lord? Do you want to experience God? By faith, let us continue to stay prayed up and have expectant hearts.

“Blessings will be returned to those who are generous and hospitable.”

Today, let’s take a look at Ecclesiastes 11:1-2 through story telling by our guest speaker, Ptr. Enrique Ortega.

May we learn today more wisdom on how we handle the blessings that the Lord gives us daily. Let us make use of these learnings to bring honor and glory to the source of all of these.

"The real issue in life is not how many blessings we have, but what we do with our blessings. Some people have many blessings and hoard them. Some have few and give everything away." - Fred "Mister" Rogers.

"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."

― 2 Corinthians 12:9

As we journey through our series for March entitled "Faith in Action", we get to look at an unlikely character mentioned in Hebrews 11 or the famous Faith Chapter. Coming from a clan who was considered the weakest and being the least in his family, God called a man named Gideon , who despite being a witness to God's working power, repeatedly requested God for signs.

From a 32k army to just 300 against 135k, God assured Gideon that the victory was certain. God placed Gideon in a position where Gideon could only trust in God because there was no one else to trust.

Today, our prayer is that we allow His life to shine in our lives and transform us from being a zero to a hero. May God continually work in our lives as our faith in Him help us defeat doubs, battle pride and overcome fear. Let us all be challenged to trust Him in obscurity, be humble in victory and be obedient in uncertainty knowing that all things are possible with God.

What qualities make up hero? May today's sermon entitled The Unlikely hero give you the right answer from the Lord.

"Excellence is doing ordinary things extraordinarily well."
― John Gardner
Last Sunday of February Church! We are at the end of our series, "D.N.A : who we are and what we do".
This past month we've been discussing and learned about the CORE VALUES of our Church, ONE BEAT CHRISTIAN MINISTRIES with the acronym C.A.R.E. C for Compassion for the least, the last and the lost, A for Authenticity in our growth and relationship with Jesus and to others, R for Reverence in awe of our Almighty God. And today we'll learn more about the letter E, Excellence in serving Jesus and His ministry. Let it be our prayer that we not only memorize our values of C.A.R.E but most importantly, we also get to live it out all for the glory of God.
Going above and beyond what is expected, to make a bigger effort than what is required of somebody, and to exert special energy to accomplish something- that will be our theme for todays Sermon. In short, we will Go the Extra Mile today as we wrap up our February Series about our core values.

"I want God, not my idea of God."

― C.S. Lewis

Today we'll continue our series for February "D.N.A : who we are and what we do" with our third core value, Reverence - in awe of our Almighty God, and it is our prayer that by the end of the month we'll all get to say that we are all D.N.A's which means "Disciple Na Ako".

From Compassion to Authenticity and now Reverence, let us all bring out what our hearts contain, what it's desires and express it towards God. But before that, let us all ask ourselves if we have that Reverence of awe towards our Almighty God like how David conveyed it in Psalm 63: 1-11.

May we reflect and manifest that feeling as we watch and listen to our Service today with the title: Heart Confessions.

For the whole month of February, we'll be looking at our building blocks - Our D.N.A., as a Church - who we are and what we do.
Last week we got to talk about Compassion - Our compassion for the least, the last and the lost. This Sunday we'll be transitioning to Authenticity - in our growth and relationship with Jesus and to others.
When it comes to us, ourselves as Christians, is there any app like google lens that could tell us who or what we are? If we are followers of Jesus, or disciples of Jesus Christ or tell whether we are real Christians? How will we find out if we are real Christians without the app in real life? Today let's look deeper at God's word and look at how we can know or see REAL CHRISTIANS, join us with our Service today with the title : ACTreal.

Happy New Year! It is now the month of February and our trial period is done and has ended, it is now the official start of the year and it is now the time to work!

As we start this new month, we'll also begin a new Series entitled D.N.A. where in we'll be looking at the building blocks of our Church, O.B.C.M. - our vision, mission and core values - who we are and what we do as a Church.

Many of us might say that February is the month of love, and as a Church we will also be celebrating Love - our love for God and love for people. Let our prayer for February include us being able to experience and share love later on leading us to know and say the meaning of D.N.A. for us, which is, "Disciple Na Ako."

This Sunday, let's all talk about our first core value, Compassion - for the least, last and the lost and see how Grace adds up to it's equation. Join us as with our service today with the title: The Sound of Grace

Faith isn't a feeling. It's a choice to trust God even when the road ahead seems uncertain."

What a beautiful way to end our series for January and at the same time begin next months series by declaring that truly God is the same - that we serve the same God, the same God we get to read in the Bible is the same God we serve today.

Last entry for our Next Page series for January Church!

It's also our time to turn to the next page as we enter the new month of February and start anew with our series D.N.A. - who we are and what we do. Something to be excited about.

Have you already decided on what you're going to accomplish this year? Are you already anticipating something? Are you ready for your next page?

Today as we look at God's word, we'll fast forward to the Israelites looking at the promise land - 40 plus years after they left Egypt and as they were at the Border. They were standing and looking at the promise that the Lord has given them and ask them and ourselves the question, "Are we going to take that step forward and cross that borderline?"

"You were made by God and for God, and until you understand that, life will never make sense."

― Rick Warren

3rd Sunday of the month and just like our past 2 Sundays we continue to look for what is next for us. Just as the New Year always brings us a new slate and an opportunity for us to do things that we did not even imagine of doing the previous year, it is also an opportunity for us to turn the page on some things that we didn't like doing during the past year and start anew. Today let's ask ourselves, "What is next for me?"

As we continue and push thru to turning to the next page, a couple of Sundays ago we said that we have to move forward to see what is next and at times fear can grip us because of that uncertain risk in expecting what is on that next page, But there is this assurance that the Lord is already in our tomorrow and the exciting part, is that we know that God has already gone before us as we keep ourselves progressing thru the pages of our lives and as we begin to see PURPOSE.

Join us as we turn to the next page of our Series, our Service today with the title: "Made for More."

"If you can't fly, then run. If you can't run, then walk. If you can't walk, then crawl, but whatever you do, you have to keep moving."

― Martin Luther King Jr.

How was your first two weeks of 2024?

Let's continue our series "Next Page" where in we look towards the new year to do new things or some of the things we didn't accomplish during the past year and see the opportunity to finally start them personally - and in all the aspects of our lives.

So, what's next for you and your journey?

Have you asked yourself that question thus far?

Is there a feeling of fear when you think of turning to the next page? is there unfamiliarity? is it a place outside your comfort zone? Are you good in where you are now? What is your next page?

This Sunday, join us with our Service entitled "Forward Match" and let's get a look at how the Lord matches our FAITH and see the assurance that as you flip to your next page, God already wrote the story not only of that page but also the rest of your whole journey story. May our steps always match up to God's steps as we move forward.

“There is nothing more important to learn about Christian growth than this: Growing in grace means becoming like Christ.”

My 2024 mindset :
I don't need to overthink, for what comes next isn't in my control.
But I'll keep holding on to the one who did amazing things in the past, the one who is with me in the present, the one who holds my future - God alone.
2024 is never promised, but God promised me His presence. From this alone, I am contented and secured.
God, my 2024 is yours.
Happy New Year Church! New Year, new month, new series and a feeling of all things new!
For the month of January we'll be starting a new series entitled "New Page". "God loves us beyond comprehension, and we cannot diminish God's love for us"

― Saint Peter

You are too BLESSED to be stressed!

Often times we get so familiar with the eye catching, magnificent, dramatic sense of God's love that it becomes just plain and ordinary to us. We lose track of what it really means - that unusual, extra-ordinary, unconditional love.

If ever we see and feel it in ourselves that we've overlooked this great love, we should make the effort to go back and remember the first time we got to meet Him and experience His love. Try to look back and remember; And now as we celebrate Christmas, let's think about how to relate HIS LOVE for us to this season we are celebrating.

May you find or remember that LOVE you are longing for today.

"KnoW JESUS, KnoW PEACE"

― Unknown

Is there something missing in your life today?

Could it be PEACE?

PEACE : it could be tranquility, it could be defined as rest, but biblical peace is rooted on a Hebrew word with the term, "SHALOM" which is also rooted or connected to relationships. Shalom means peace with your family, with the people around you and as it progresses, your relationship with God. But shalom could also mean a promise kept or a covenant maintained. Shalom can be attributed to our words, our actions, our attitudes, but primarily peace is a gift from God. Peace is a gift of God that we need to accept this Christmas.

Let's hear God's message today as we look at the Nativity Scene and see how it signifies peace. Let us continue our series "Let there be LIGHT!" and today as we get to assess and self check, let's ask ourselves if we are missing peace or why do we miss to feel true peace that comes from Jesus Christ.

Let's continue our series "Let there be LIGHT!" and reflect on the coming of the light, the True Light, Jesus Christ. But before we start, let's ask ourselves this question, "What brings JOY in our life?" Let's answer that question together and see the true definition of what JOY is.

Join us today with our Service with the Title: "Rediscover Joy".

"Our world today so desperately hungers for hope, yet uncounted people have almost given up. There is despair and hopelessness on every hand. Let us be faithful in proclaiming the hope that is in Jesus."

― Billy Graham

Christmas is just around the corner Church Family! As we start off this month of giving, receiving and of gratitude, let's begin a new series : Let there be Light!

There is Hope! Let's say that again, There is Hope! Today let's reflect on that statement, and evaluate ourselves while asking ourselves a question most of us often wonder about, "Is there hope? And as we try to figure it out may our answer lead us to the one who gives off LIGHT, Jesus.

“Happy moments, PRAISE GOD

Difficult moments, SEEK GOD

Quiet moments, WORSHIP GOD

Painful moments, TRUST GOD

Every moment, THANK GOD”

― Rick Warren

It is finally the last Sunday of the month of November, and as we close out this month's series entitled 4ver Thankful, have we learned any lesson about gratitude, thankfulness and gratefulness? How can you apply it in your life today?

As we end this month, may we leave you with this simple sermon today about how letting our FAITH grow into something that would lead us to OBEDIENCE and go towards God's purpose for us in every thing in every day and later on as we look back on how God led us, guided us and never left us make us feel that glow of GRATITUDE and remember God's goodness, faithfulness, grace, mercy and love.

"Living in a state of gratitude is the gateway to grace."

— Arianna Huffington

Why should we be thankful? What reasons come to mind when you are asked of why are you grateful? Why do we have to express our gratitude?

Hi OBCM Family, it's the third installment of our #4everThankful series! Come join us as we hear todays message of THANKFULNESS and come together celebrating God's faithfulness, mercy and grace.

Let us learn the value of THANKFULNESS, as to what 1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18 says, "Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus."

"Gratitude turns what we have into enough." Melody Beattie

We are on our 2nd Sunday in our series "4ever Thankful" .

BlessED is the title of Part 2 of our 4 part series this November. As we go about studying Psalm 73, a psalm written by Asaph, we see how easy it is to not be thankful for the "lesser" things. Like Asaph, we tend to complain, and complain , and complain even more. We most often times overthink rather than OVERTHANK.

Today, may we FIRMLY SEE, FULLY SURRENDER and be FOREVER SATISFIED knowing that we are greatly blessed, highly favored, and deeply loved by our Father in heaven.

Let us ponder upon the message today, and be 4ever thankful for everything.

"Sometimes when things are falling apart, they may actually be falling into place."

— J. Lynn

A new month, a new series and a lot of blessings and good thoughts to be thankful for.

This November, let's celebrate each Sunday with our new series "4ever Thankful."

Let's look at God's Word each Sunday and let's cultivate that attitude of gratitude to have hearts of thanksgiving, a life that points all the glory, praise and thanks to God alone.

Part 1 of our 4 part series is entitled "Ups and Downs", Why? Because it is easy to be thankful to God for the Ups- moments of success, good and happy times and the like - when everything is going according to plan, But what about the Down times, the moments we feel struggle, of pain and of challenge, how can we say and show that we are thankful? How can we thank God for them?

Come join us today, as we get reminded about these words and what they mean from Paul's realization, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness". And in our own realizations may we find God.

As we close out this month and end our series for the second time whose Defining Moment story have you related to so far? Have you experienced any Defining Moment since we started out our series?

What makes a Defining Moment a defining moment is the moment God is seen in ones life or story, it is not merely about us in the story but also what God is doing in our lives.

Today let us look at the life of Moses who just had an ordinary moment but made that ordinary moment turn into something special because of seeing God.

Today let us look at the famous story of David and Goliath in 1 Samuel 17:34-50 and let us discover what is "IN PLAIN SIGHT" but is always overlooked or not seen in the story.
Who do you think the Hero of the story is? God delights in working through us. Just like how the He gave the giant into David's hands, He is in charge. It is all GOD and David made every effort to make sure that we don't see him or his army as the heroes, instead, the real Hero is the Lord. There is nothing impossible for Him, David's victory showcased God's goodness and faithfulness.

"If you ever see Jesus, you will never be the same again."
— T.L. Osborn
When was the last time you took a risk for God?
When was the last time you went to meet the Lord?
When was the last time you came out to SEE GOD?
Such questions are asked to us Christians to somehow examine and even test ourselves to see if we make the most common of efforts to know God, to experience Him and to come to Him. But, here is one question we ask ourselves during those moments we find ourselves in the dark, feeling troubled and looking lost, most especially during the times we forget to connect to the source- our SOURCE.
How do you SEE JESUS?
Come join us today as we look at the life of Peter, whose Defining Moment came when he walked on water with Jesus. Join us today "as we perceive with our eyes" what is vital to our spiritual life with our Service today entitled: Vitamin See.

Happy September!
Despite the constant rains, it's the start of the season we'll be hearing Christmas Carols and feel that Joyful Yuletide Spirit. For this month we'll be having another installment and extension of our Defining Moment Series with another set of people who's life were highlighted by Defining Moments.
For our first installment this Sunday, let's look at the life of Job and what caused a sudden change in his life and what . Looking at his resume, He was described as righteous and godly, blameless and upright, a man who feared God and shunned evil, but what unexpected twists led him to his defining moment?

"God does not ask us to bring in our livestock and burn it on the altar; he asks us to give ourselves, to put ourselves alive on the altar. To be a Christian means to live a life of sacrifice, a life of presentation, making a gift of ourselves to God. Some people think that all it takes to be a Christian is to scribble a cheque or to give a few hours of service here and there on special projects for the church. But that’s not what believers are called to. My life is to be set apart and consecrated to God. That is what is acceptable to him; that is what delights him; that is what pleases him; that is the appropriate response to him and for him." – R. C. Sproul, The Gospel of God: An Exposition of Romans

Joshua led the way two million people into the promised land. As he was about to die, he challenged them in their faith. He offered them a choice- to recommit to the Lord and serve Him or serve other gods. Joshua led the way by making a bold declaration - "As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord."

Will we be the like Joshua and take on the "As For Me Challenge"?

It's so good to be alive today despite of the everyday rain that we are experiencing for the past few weeks. It is also so good to be alive today because we'll be starting a new series for August with the title, "Defining Moments", where in aside from us hearing the Word of God we'll also get to hear testimonies from different people about the Defining Moments of their lives.

Miracles still happen, don't they? The problem there is that we only want the spectacular ones and forget that everyday is a miracle in its own self and just call them ordinary.

We're in the last segment of our July Month Series "Back to the Basics", if you get back to the basics as Christians you start giving your attention to the simplest and most important matters that you may found out that you were ignoring before. Week 1 we talked about Salvation, next we discussed Prayer in Week 2, Week 3 we immersed in Bible Reading, Last week was about being part of the Church for Week 4. All of those were basic and often times we ignore those simple things and focus our attention on the harder aspects.

This Back to the Basic Series allowed us to go back, go back to the fundamentals of our FAITH.

And Today, We'll end our month long series with a message entitled, Testify - Being a witness for Jesus Christ, Join us as we culminate this month remembering the foundation of our faith.

"When the Bible speaks, God speaks."

— Martin Luther

Think of your favorite food.

Then think about reading God's Word.

Here is a controversial question,

Would you love to it eat your favorite food more rather than read your Bible?

It is kind of ironic that we can call ourselves Christian and yet we do not find value in reading God's Word. Over the span of thousands of years, God gave us His precious Word, It is His revelations put into writing and it speaks about who He is. It has transformed countless lives just by getting read. The Bible is not just a book about doctrines but rather it is a book about God, it is not just a book of literature and more than just a map that tells us what to do, but basically points us first and foremost to Him. God's intention in giving us His Word is that it would be Food to our Soul.

"To be a Christian without prayer is no more possible than to be alive without breathing."

— Martin Luther

How long can you hold your breath?

How long can a person survive without oxygen?

Imagine a day where you are given a time frame to breathe, your every breath is scheduled, wouldn't that be hard? But thankfully, we don't have that case, we are given an unlimited supply of oxygen, countless moments to breathe in and breathe out.

They often equate prayer with the breathing. When it comes to our Spiritual Life, prayer is equivalent our every breath. It is a way to breathe in the Lord and breathe out the negatives. It is not just an exercise of bringing our wish lists to God, but it is mainly our divine check-in with our Creator. Prayer is essential to our lives as breathing is. Breathing and Praying should be something we do almost unconsciously.

So, how long can a person live without prayer?

Prayer is also a basic to the Christian faith. Come join us as we go back to the basics with our service today : Breathe

It is already July and we are already on the half-way mark of the year. And with this new month comes a new series, but it is not just any normal series but a series to look back on, a topic that all of us should base on and a subject to prepare us for our future. Let's welcome our Series for the Month of July : "Back to the Basics".

There is this statement that says, " Knowing who we are determines how we live." Such a basic statement isn't it? And today, as we talk about or start talking about these basic things, Let's start talking and learning about FAITH. Faith tells us or gives us a clearer connection with God and having that clearer connection with God also gives us a clearer connection with other people.

"I remain confident of this:
I will see the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living.
Wait for the Lord;
be strong and take heart
and wait for the Lord."
― Psalm 37:13-14 (NIV)

It is the last segment of our June series entitled: GRADwaiting, where in we discuss about waiting on God's perfect timing, where in we're trying to practice patience in all aspects of our life, where in we are allowing God to work while we wait and realizing that at the end of the day that we are not God. We hope that as we conclude our series, you or we ourselves get to experience God moving in our life in those spaces, in those gaps, in those opportunities that He allows us to wait and trust in His good and perfect timing.

Waiting is not just something we have to do while we wait to get what we want but rather, waiting is the process of becoming what God wants us to be. Remember not to put the time of waiting to waste but use it to develop that Christ-like character that God desires us to have.

“Be still, and know that I am God.

I will be exalted among the nations,

I will be exalted in the earth!”

― Psalm 46:10

Life is somewhat about minding the gaps- the gaps that we have in our faith and the way we exercise it and experience it, the gap between the promises we have in life and waiting for their fulfillment, and one of life's greatest gaps is the gap between knowing and doing. Something that we would like to stress every Sunday is that it is not enough that we know it, but also ask ourselves of what happens next? That is one thing that is important in life, how we apply it in our lives.

"Wait on God", have you heard that phrase before? For how many times? Has it become a cliché- an expression that was once innovative but now has lost

it's novelty because of it's over use? But what do we do when God's expectations do not align with our own expectations in life?

Join us today as we Mind the Gaps, let's look at the gaps in the Bible before breakthrough happens. Let us examine the those minor gaps that happen before something great occur. Let us see how God fills in those gaps and turn them as part of the beautiful, meaningful and hopeful story.

P.S. Happy Father's Day to all our Dads/Tatays/Papas and all who stand as our Fathers...

"The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance."

― 2 Peter 3:9

What do you do while you wait?

Waiting is not just something we have to do while we wait to get that thing we are praying for, Waiting is the process of us becoming what God wants us to be. What we are waiting for is important, but who we are while we wait or who we become while we wait is important to the Lord. What happens to you while you wait, What are your thoughts while you wait, What goes on through you while you wait? Are you trusting God, Are you changing, Are you becoming more an more like Jesus?

Waiting on God doesn't mean that we become motionless, it does not mean that we don't have to do anything, it doesn't mean that we stand and look at the heavens and just wait on God.

"But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day."

― 2 Peter 3:8

No one likes to wait.

Nobody likes the feeling of waiting. From grocery lines, parking spaces, appointments, the right time, the perfect moment, let's all be honest, we don't like waiting. But one thing worth waiting for is the coming of Christ.

Waiting is not something we do just to get what we want, but waiting is part of God's design. Part of God's design is His delays. And for the whole month of June this is what we will be talking about- our waiting rooms, our waiting process, our waiting time.

For our first installment, Let us hear and learn God's message about the saying : "How God answers prayers in one of three ways. God says “Yes,” and you receive what you ask for. God says “No,” and you have to accept it and move on. Or God says “Not Yet,” and you learn to be patient and wait."

It's the last Sunday of May and that means the end of our two month longs series, "At the Table". So who have you shared a meal with thus far? What have you learned about how Jesus shared a table with the different people from the past stories and preachings that we had? And lastly, have you seen the value of sharing a meal, a conversation, or even a little time with the people around you?

Since it's the last installment of our Series, Come join us as we hear and learn about the experience of the story of Jesus Feeding of the Five Thousand. Let's culminate the encounters that we had and savor the exploits that we had, are having and will have as we share our table with Jesus and the individuals we have around us.

Remember, our Series might have come to a close, but that doesn't mean that we stop from sharing our At the Table Experience.

"Refuse to be content with just the knowledge of God. But insist on experiencing His presence."

― Kerri Weems

We all walk a journey of our own. We all have this certain goal we want to reach. Yes, there might be some up's, downs and curves along the way; We might even feel alone and pass by people who seem to be strangers along the path. Some of us might lose sight of the way and even wander off from where they are headed and find new destinations to go to, but no matter what we'll all arrive to where we'll supposed to be.

But you know what? There's someone always with us. Someone who was right there at the beginning, still there in the middle and who's going to be there at the end. Get to know who He is and feel His presence. Don't let the pressures of the journey make you hard up in realizing that you have Him and don't let the excitement of reaching the destination make you forget Him - Experience it all with Him. Spend time with Him, thru the pauses, rushes and whatever part of the voyage. Embrace the journey-Embrace God.

Join us as we have share this story, this journey and this table with our Service with the title: A Walk to Remember.

"Selfie" - 2013 word of the year of Oxford English Dictionary defined as : ''a photograph that one has taken of oneself, typically with a smartphone or webcam and uploaded to a social media website."

Today's passage is taken from Luke 14:1-14 wherein we get to read about Jesus confronting a reality that not only was happening before but is still happening up to today- hypocrisy, a sense of entitlement, and selfishness.

Today, we get to check our SELFie - ask ourselves, is Jesus confronting me on a sin I need to give up?

Come and join us as we learn and talk about this in our continuing installment for our Series : At the Table, in our service today with the title : SELFie.

"Our identity is not in our joy, and our identity is not in our suffering. Our identity is in Christ, whether we have joy or are suffering."

― Mark Driscoll

Who are you?

How do you see yourself?

How do others know you?

Identity means the "the fact of being who or what a person or thing is." While our world encourages you to look within yourself for your identity, your natural tendency is to search for your identity in external things. We might also get swayed the people around us and follow thru with how they define us, be caught up with trends and fads that we think make us who we are. But as Christians, How should we see and define ourselves? Where can we find our identity?

Our identity is found in Christ.

Come and join us as we learn and talk about it with our last installment for our April Series : At the Table, our service today with the title : Identity Theft CHRISTsees.

"The goal is not for God to use YOU,

...the goal was YOU."

-Albert Tate

Have you ever been in a situation where in you forgot what you had to do in the first place because of something else that came to your mind that seemed to have been more important?

Let's talk and learn about two contrasting characters from Luke 10: 38-42- Martha and Mary. Two people whom Jesus loves, two people who also loved Jesus, Two people who wanted to give their best for Jesus; However, besides those obvious things there was one major difference between the both of them, and that was their PRIORITY.

Join us with our 4th installment for our At the Table April series, our service today with the title: PRIyouORITY.

“God uses broken things. It takes broken soil to produce a crop, broken clouds to give rain, broken grain to give bread, broken bread to give strength. It is the broken alabaster box that gives forth perfume. It is Peter, weeping bitterly, who returns to greater power than ever.”
― Vance Havner
What is your Alabaster box or better yet, what is in your alabaster box? We might place our hopes, dreams, aspirations and everything else that is of value to us in that box hoping that we can break and share that box with someone. Later we find out that it was not worth it, we broke our jars and that someone just treated it as waste. And even though we give it our best to fix that box, it is already in pieces and cannot be put back to its original form anymore. We gather the pieces, and put it back the best way we remember it to be, we clutch on to it even more because we know what happens when it breaks. It breaks us, it makes us feel incomplete each time that it breaks.
Come and present it to someone who'll accept it wholly.
Come offer it to someone who'll also make you whole.
Come place it at the feet of Jesus.
Come break it at the head of Jesus.
To others it may be a complete waste, but to God it is beautiful - a Beautiful Waste.

"A great is restless until it rests in YOU."
– Saint Augustine
When was the last time you had a heart to heart talk with someone?
A heart to heart talk is a talk or discussion in which two people talk honestly in a serious way about their feelings. When in that heart to heart talk, you become that vulnerable person where in you allow your emotions and feelings be exposed and you become more aware of what is happening. You analyze things better, your approach to things becomes more practical and you begin to ask yourself about when was the last time I had such a kind of conversation with another person.
Those heart to heart talks are important. And you know what, heart to heart talks are also important to Jesus.
Join us today as we learn the importance of Heart to Heart Talks with our service today with the same name, Heart2Heart Talk.
Note: Apologies on the last part of our service during Karissa's Shirt Announcement and Pastor Mike's closing prayer, Audio Recording got cut when the laptop was lifted to show the shirt designs.

"There are three stages in the work of God: Impossible, Difficult and Done."

– John C. Maxwell

Happy First Sunday of April!

A new month means a new series, and a new series means new messages, learnings and revelations from the Lord. Join us with the excitement as we also wait for our 5th Anniversary this coming May with our Series for April with the title: "At the Table : A place to Go, Grow and Glow."

Are you needing a miracle today? Are you nearing a dead end? Maybe you've lost all hope. Let this encourage you, when all human efforts fail, when all human efforts end, God begins. When you're strength ends today, God's grace begins. When you see a dead end, God reminds you it is just the beginning. Today have hope, God is up to something.

Jesus invites us today to have faith, have faith that the best is yet to come.

Join us with the first installment of our April Services, our service today with the Title : The Beginning of Something.

"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will."
-Romans 12:2 (NIV)

Today we end our March Series - "Nameless and Faceless: It's all about His name!" and it is our prayer that as we journeyed together through this month you got to find out the people who did not have a name and most of them didn't even have a face we could associate with a name but whose stories were significant because they helped spread and expand the kingdom of our Lord and who proved that it is all about His name - Jesus.
Who of us here realized that your world turned upside down when you received the Gospel? When you took the message of the Gospel you realized that it was hard to be a Christian- there are a lot of do's and don'ts, that you needed to go to Church, to learn how to tithe and to learn how to pray. It will make you feel uncomfortable, but you know that when you receive the Gospel everything will turn out to be different. It will turn your life upside down, but when you realize that in doing so, you hand your life over to Jesus you lose nothing but gain everything.
You turn your life upside down in order for you to live life right-side up.
Let's culminate this month with our message today entitled, "Upside down."

"Life is a matter of choices, and every choice you make makes you.”
– John C. Maxwell

We all have a choice.

Say that again, We all have a choice. From the second we wake up and up until the moment we close our eyes at night is filled with different choices that we should make, should have made and have made. Who we are today is because of the thousand and thousands of choices that you do every time. And today as we look at God's Word for us, our prayer is that as we reflect on our Scripture today, we find out ways to exercise our faith in making choices and decisions.

Today as we continue our series where in we get to look at the Bible and find those Nameless and Faceless characters who left a significant impact with what they did in serving and raising up God's name in order for us to learn, remember and apply in our lives, how they , join us with our installation this week, our service entitled : "The unLIKEly Choice."

“Real true faith is man’s weakness leaning on God’s strength.”

"God loves you as though you are the only person in the world, and He loves everyone the way He loves you."

— David Jeremiah

It's been a month since we started discussing the Dimensions of God's love, from the Depth of it, to it's Height and it's Length. This Sunday, our last Sunday for the month of February, and our last installment to our month series, let's measure His love by it's Width. We do this not to place parameters or limits to His love but for us to see and experience what it means  to have the LOVE of GOD.

1-4-3, is an all familiar code that denotes the line, " I Love You", and for us today, It is God's way of telling us that He loves Us. And the whole Bible can be summed up by our memory verse today found in John 3:16. We know all to well that verse, but today let's look at it from a different perspective.

Join us today as we experience God's love fully, understand it wholly and reciprocate it joyfully with our Service today with the title: 1-4-3

"Stories work, if they have a beginning, middle and end."

— Wendell Pierce

There are certain things in life that we know are facts. Like the fact that water has the chemical formula/symbol of H2O, that is a fact. But, does knowing that fact quench our thirst when we remember it while we are thirsty? It doesn't does it? What really quenches that feeling of thirst is real water, drinking it-experiencing it. And that is exactly what we are talking about and going thru the past weeks of February, We talk about God's love, that its everlasting, unconditional and unending. But all those knowledge counts for nothing if we don't experience it, if we don't experience God's love.

So this third Sunday, join us as we talk about the length of God's love. It's start, middle and end with our Service today with the title : My Love Story. And our prayer today is that as we hear and learn of that love, it covers us a hundred times over and lets us feel and experience it's warmth, comfort and wholeness this cold Sunday that we are having.

Remember, Anyone and everyone can LOVE, but only God can love you FOREVER.

"Love the people not only as you wish to be loved, but love people as much as God has loved you."

— Anonymous

How would we measure God's love?

Last week we were asked that question as we looked at the Depth of His love, and this Sunday, we will be asked again the same question as we look at the Height of His love.

How high is the level of God's love? Is it measured by the floors or levels that it has? And what does it take for us, ordinary people, to reach that extent of LOVE?

Join us this Sunday, As we all agree once again that the best standard of love would be God's love as seen in the bible - the greatest love letter ever made, and that although we can't totally explain His love, He let's us experience it fully in every moment that we have.

May we be the reason that someone feels loved today, join us with our Service today with the title : "Downward not Upward".

Happy New Year Church! Our free trial month is already done and finished. To some of us who started this year in a bad sense with trials, challenges and tests, remember, you can't always have a good day, but you can face each day with a good God.

It's February and that means we'll be starting a new series for this love month and that series is entitled " The Dimensions of Love."

What do you use to measure LOVE?

How do you measure LOVE?

What STANDARD do you use to measure LOVE?

Join us today as we use the Bible as our basis of our STANDARD of LOVE and see how GOD's LOVE is and should be the standard in looking at the Dimensions of Love. Let's start off this month by measuring how deep God's love is with our Service with the title : HOW DEEP?

"Don't look for God in the sky; Search for His presence within your heart."

— Anonymous

Sometimes looking for God is like a game of Hide-and-Seek. We, at first, look for Him in the wrong places and spend time looking for the spot where He is hiding. But that is not how God operates, It is like a game of Marco Polo, where in we are the ones blindfolded and shouting "Marco!" and He is the one replying to our every shout with a "Polo!" The more we try looking for Him the more He finds us.

Come join us as we answer the question, "Do you know where to find God?" or better yet the question, "Are you looking for God?". Today let us look for Him in the right place, somewhere everyone else could see, and that place is in Us.

Today let us put God first, let us put Him second and God third. Let us put our Hope not unto the New Year but to the One who makes all things new. Let us look forward and Hope and Trust in Jesus Christ.

"Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase."

— Martin Luther King, Jr.

What could be the best start for a brand new year,  brand new month and even a brand new day than starting it by putting God first?

But one of the greatest challenges for Christians is to live a life distinctly as a follower of Jesus Christ. Living for God always starts by knowing Him and it is impossible to say that we are living a life for Him if we do not know Him, how much more when we say we put Him first, but we don't have a relationship with Him?

We only live once, so why don't we live life to the fullest by putting in the time and effort to know God, have a relationship with Him and living the life He gave us for Him. Come join us as we meditate on Gods message today for us, our service with the title #Hashtag : YOLO.

It is a new year, a new month and a new day and what is a better way to start it all than putting God first?

There is that certain special feeling when we come in first or do something for the first time - first place in school, trying a restaurant for the first time and, experiencing something for the first time. And when it comes to God, firsts are also important.

"PEACE : It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart."

-Anonymous

What makes Christmas- CHRISTMAS?

Join us as we open one of the best gifts ever, today we'll be offering to you the best Christmas gift you can receive which is, Christ. One thing to greatly remember during this special time of gifts, parties and festivity is that there will be no Christmas without Christ and there is no true PEACE unless you have His presence.

What is Peace? What is peace all about? We all long for peace and yet peace is lacking in this world. We are full of worry, anxiety, conflicts, stress, even the world we live in today is full of wars, troubles, and today that is where Jesus comes in because Jesus is not only our Hope this Christmas, but He is also our PEACE.

Celebrate with us, as we open one of the best gifts that God has given us this season, PEACE.

Indeed, it is far better to share the warmth, excitement and joy of the season with people you see and feel as family. Be with OBCM as we Celebrate Christmas and as a bonus treat Pastor Mike's Ordination Ceremony.

God gives us 86, 400 seconds everyday, not a second more or less of that. All of us are equally given those precious seconds.

Where do we differ?

By where we spend those 86,400 seconds that He gives us everyday.

Here's a question, how many of those seconds do you spend in in pausing and giving time to thank the Lord? To thank Him for the many blessings He grants us each day. For waking up each morning, each breath, for having food on the table, for having a family, for clothes, a place to call home, for so much more. If you've come across this post ( read up to this part or even have watched the video) pause and give a couple of seconds to Thank God.

Come join us with our service today about thanksgiving with a twist, ThanksLiving.

We take approximately 23,000 breaths every day, but when was the last time you

thanked God for one of them? The process of inhaling oxygen and exhaling carbon dioxide

is a complicated respiratory task that requires physiological precision. We tend to thank God

for the things that take our breath away. And that’s fine. But maybe we should thank him for

every other breath too!

For the whole month of November, we get to journey through the series- Give Thanks, where we cultivate that attitude of gratitude, that heart of thanksgiving, and that mindset that amidst the uncertainties that happen in life— we are BLESSED and can GIVE thanks to GOd.

TENkful is the title our 2nd installment for this Series where we get to dig deeper to the story of the 10 Lepers in our passage found in Luke 17:11-19. Let us discover together how we can be the ONE amongst the TEN who gives thanks to God OfTEN.

"It's not Happiness that makes us Grateful, rather it's Gratefulness that makes us happy."

-Anonymous

We often tend to overthink, we often tend to get worried and even stressed when we think too much or too long of something. You know what's better? Over Thank.

It's a new month and before we come to that finale for the year 2022, we have a new series, Give Thanks. And for the whole month of November we get to cultivate in our hearts that attitude of gratitude - a heart of thanksgiving, that mindset that amidst of the struggles and uncertainties that we experience in life we can be thankful. We can look to Him, God, everyday and say that we are blessed and we can give thanks to God.

For our first installment,  let's talk about OVERFLOW, to have a heart inside of us that overflows with thanksgiving to God.

Join us and realize that we overflow not because we are generous, but because the God we serve - our God- is generous towards us.

Realize this today, the Lord is greater than the storms, giants and problems we face today.

It is impossible to fully describe the love of God.  His Love is deep, wide and uncomprehendable, but also it places us into His family,we are sons and daughters selected by God, His Love points us to His designed future for us because we are set apart for good and lastly, His love produces faithfulness in us because despite of our sins, we are saved by His loving grace.

Despite the cold weather, the sad feeling of rain and the grayness of the sky today, come experiece God's love. Join us with our service with the title: "I want to know what God's Love is"

“A soul cannot seek close fellowship with God, or attain the abiding consciousness of waiting on Him all the day, without a very honest and entire surrender to all His will.”

— Andrew Murray

Today we start a new series for the month of October, a series with the title : Beloved. For the whole month we will be talking about this topic while studying the scripture of 1 John. A book, a letter which purpose is to bring us to have a relationship with God.

How is your walk with God?

Our walk should be based on how Jesus walked with God and others, we get proper knowledge and illustration when we study how He walked and how He responded to different things in this world. Walking in the light means seeing things the way He did and responding the way He does. Walking in the light means living under the controlling desire for God instead of the world, and sharing His value.

Come have that relationship today, and walk life with God.

Join us today with our First October Series with the title, Walking Fellowship.

“Returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that.”

― Martin Luther King Jr.

Why do I have to LOVE MY ENEMIES?

In life's basic equation, Enemy equals Hate, but where does love come in? It comes thru you because God said, "Love".

We all know that it's easy to like and even love someone if there are no complications involved, but what if it's someone we deem to be our enemy? Why do we have to love them?

The answer to that, We love them, because God said Love and He showed us how.

Come join us today despite the threat of "Typhoon Karding", may it be with us in our face to face service or in the comfort and warmth of your homes. As we end our September Series : Rated R: Relationships, let's learn one of the greatest challenges that hinders us from having  that intimate, intentional, and love filled relationship with our service today. It's Complicated.

"Forgiveness is the fragrance that the violet sheds on the heel that has crushed it."

-Mark Twain

F O R G I V E N E S S

: to cease to feel resentment against (an offender)

: to give up resentment of or claim to requital for

: to grant relief from payment of

Let's define Forgiveness in a more understandable manner. Forgiveness is a Choice - a choice each one of us has to make. When we exercise forgiveness it changes our role, from being the offended or the victim it changes us to become a minister. Forgiveness is giving up my right to hurt you for hurting me. One way or the other, one of us has been hurt and we ourselves has experienced being the one who caused hurt to another. But it takes a level of maturity, a level of forgiveness, to realize that the ones who hurt us need forgiveness and those for we have hurt to realize that we need forgiveness because we all have problems, we all are broken and we all need love - We all need Jesus.

Let's evaluate the life that we each live, are we really redeemed by the blood of Jesus? Are we really saved? Do we really call ourselves Christians? Or are we those so called Christians that put people in cages, hold the key and wait for revenge? Are we those who don't show love? Today we get to assess ourselves, reflect on God's word and begin to act to apply Gods word in our lives.

"The safest place to be is in the center of God's Will."

-Corrie Ten Boom

Today we get to conclude our series for the month of August entitled, Roots before Fruits. Our prayer for this month is that as we go thru each Sunday and Week of it, is that we personally get to assess ourselves-ask our selves, "Where am I planted, do my roots run deep?". And as we ask these questions, we get to abide, to persist and maintain our connection with Jesus and proceed to live for Him.

Deeper before Wider. Roots before Fruits.

This Sunday, let us ask the question, "What is the secret to a fruitful life?"

What is that we need to see and what do we need to realize in order for us to be able to say that we live a fruitful life?

Join us today with our service with the title not just quite the same as our question: The Secret to a fROOTful Life.

AUGUST

And August is rain month, and with the rains come thoughts of floods and wind swept things. But just like the Trees that hold on to the soil and to the land, with their strong, dug deep roots, fearing nothing. Let's grow deeper in connection with Christ, built up with the conviction that He is doing something in our lives and rested in the condition that just as He has brought us out of our sorrows and into our easy days, that He will do it again, and again. And just like those deeply rooted trees, our bond with Christ will cause us not to have a reason to fear the strong wind and rain.

  • Dietrich Bonhoeffer

How much does our lives cost?

How much does our neighbors life cost?

What is the value of following Jesus?

Is anything of value?

What is the cost of Discipleship?

Something that we need to remember based on Matthew 13: 44,

"The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field."

A man sees and sells everything else-everything he has in order to get that treasure. In other words, All those so called COSTS and so called LOSES- EVERYTHING is nothing compared to the MARK UP, to the gain, nothing compares to having Jesus Christ, the greatest treasure of all in our lives.

Do you feel SPECIAL?

As we continue our month long series UN|COMMON, and as we continue on to it's third Sunday, Do you feel that you are unique, one of a kind, do you believe that you are uncommon?

The challenge today is that we live in a society where we are flooded with different images on who are supposed to look like and how we are supposed to act. We live in a sociey where we find our worth, our significance based on how society sees us, and based on how we look on other people.

Today,  in order for us to be special, to be extra ordinary, in order for us to do the things that God has destined us to do, we have to know, we have to accept and we have to base our actions and our thoughts on who we are to the one who be belong to - God.

Kaya ko ba? Itutuloy ko ba?? Huwag nalang yata, dito nalang muna.. Mga salitang naglalaro sa isip, gumugulo, nakakalito.

Uy! Bago!

BAGO NA’TO!

dahil sa samahan na ito, We are growing 2gether, We are working 2gether and we are serving 2gether.. and 2gether we are One.

AlwaysFull

APAT.. Nasa pang-apat na tayo!

“The important people in our lives leave imprints. They may stay or go in the physical realm, but they are always there in your heart, because they helped form your heart.” —Rachel Cohn

God puts so many people in our lives, some are lost, some are saved, some are nice and some are not so nice.  Some you love and other you love to hate but God places each of them in your lives for a season and each of them has the ability to have an impact in your life or your life will have an impact on their lives.  They will leave an IMPRINT— good or bad.  Thank God for them either way.  Let us also live our lives in order to make a good and lasting IMPRINT on other people.

"I know God has amazing plans. I pray for direction to follow them, patience to wait on them, faith to believe on them and knowledge to know when they come."

Let's all read and reflect on Mark 10 : 46-52.

Think of what Bartimaeus saw when he received his sight! Think of the wonders of seeing for the first time a crowd of human beings just like himself, the walls and palm-tree groves of Jericho, the sky, so blue above him, and the hills of Moab in the distance. But that was not the first thing that he saw.

The first thing that he saw was the face of Jesus, the face of the one who had healed him. And for you and me, too, that will be the greatest of all sights. When we awake from the dream men call life, when we put off the image of the earthy and break the bonds of time and mortality, when the scales of time and sense have fallen from our eyes and the garment of corruption has been put off, when this mortality has been put on immortality and this corruption has put on incorruption, when we awaken in the everlasting morning, that will be the sight that will stir us and hold us.

Oh, there will be many wonderful sights there—the sea of glass mingled with fire; the great white throne; the river of the water of life; and the tree of life, that yielded her fruit every season; and those marvelous twelve gates, every gate a pearl; and those marvelous foundations of the walls, garnished with all manner of precious stones; and the faces of the patriarchs and the prophets, the apostles and the martyrs; and the faces of those we have loved long since and lost awhile. But most wonderful of all will be that face into which Bartimaeus looked that morning outside the gate of Jericho, after his eyes had been opened—the face of him who loved us and redeemed us, and washed us in his own precious blood.

(Quoted from the sermon of Dr. Larry Petton with the title: The First Thing Bartimaeus Saw)

Are you ready for your Unexpected Twist in your life : an unexpected turning point, a sudden turn of events, a surprise ending. Your unexpected twist can happen in a single sentence, What are you ready to say out loud today to the Lord? just like what Bartimaeus did during his time.

"Faith begins with a backward look at the cross, but it lives with a forward look at the promises."

-John Piper

The beginning of faith is realizing that GOD LOVES YOU.

But faith continues on and it leads us in knowing that it does not stop there, but it continues on to letting us BELIEVE that we have to LIVE for CHRIST.

Faith should let us feel that we should do something. It should push us everyday to live our lives for something - for Christ.

Faith gives  us hope. It gives us hope that Gods good and perfect plan lives within us.

Come join us today as we talk about where to place our hope in and where our Faith should lead us to, and have a talk of about having a better version of our  faith with our service with the title FAITH 2.0.

"God does not exist to make a big deal out of us. We exist to make a big deal out of him. It's not about you. It's not about me. It's all about him."

-Max Lucado

In your Christian Life thus far, has there ever been a time that you could remember that you have completely felt, lived and said these words, "There is none like you Lord"?

We at One Beat Christian Ministries, see our lives as just that, that there is none like God for the almost four years that He has blessed us with. It is already April, we are a month away from celebrating our 4th year Anniversary and what better way to commemorate those years by looking at the MILESTONES that we had along the way.

Truly, God's blessing and goodness was shown in the churches life and also to each one that has taken part in our joint journey. A humbling, tasteful and full journey- a reminder that IT'S ALL ABOUT GOD.

"Getting Wisdom is the wisest thing you can do."

-Proverbs 4:7

There was this Columbian Researcher who found out that the average person makes about 70 conscious decisions everyday - that's the minimum. We decide about what we wear, what we will eat, what to watch - small decisions in our life that we do everyday.

The average Filipino who lives to 70 years old would make, 1, 788, 500 decisions. That is a lot of decisions. And we total it down and would like to see the total of it all, we should only look at the mirror.

The decisions we make everyday makes US. It makes You and it makes Me.

It makes who We are today- who We are each day.

Join us today with our service with the title:  -Either-Or-, as we come to learn about wisdom from folly and culminate this month of learning what the Words of the Wise are..

"Create in me a clean heart, O God,

and renew a right spirit within me."

-Psalm 51:10 ESV

It's never too late to late to add wisdom that comes from God!

On our service today we'll get another set of instructions, but today we'll not only talk about wisdom but also how we can relate wisdom to our hearts.

Today, it's so good to know that God has changed our hearts, He has changed it to something new- He has changed it to something better. In the Bible, the heart doesn't just talk about it containing our feelings-about love, It talks about it with so much more. Your heart doesn't only entail your feelings, it's also connected with your thoughts, your will, your emotion - your whole being. It talks about who you are. with that how do we take care of it-of our hearts, how do we make our hearts pure, how do we keep it pure?

"The heart of man plans his way,

but the Lord establishes his steps."

-Proverbs 16:9 ESV

In the daily course of our lives, we have got to realize that we have to stop directing our individual lives and seek God's direction.

We all have those moments in our lives that we find our selves lost, asking where we should be or where we should go and even questioning our course of direction later being led to decide that maybe it's time today to seek God's direction and redirect our lives.

Today as we look upon God's Words and uncover these instructions that He has for us, Let's prepare our hearts, be hungry for His words and be constantly expectant of something from God.

Who would you first call, message or talk too? how would you spend those 3-minutes?

Happy Sunday Church! Keep safe, You are Blessed!

"Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God."

-Corrie Ten Boom

Can we follow Jesus example when he said "...not my will but yours be done."?

Today we will be learning together some steps in order for us to COMPLETELY TRUST GOD with His plan.

As David prayed " Search me God and know my heart, test me and know my anxious thoughts." Only the Lord knows everything. Let Him know your struggles, your anxieties and doubts. Let Him know what you feel about uncertainty, fear and that feeling of being lost. Come to Him, Let Him surround you with His love and calm you with His peace. Choose to Trust Him.

With this- together-Let us Praise God for His wonderful plans for each one of us.

Say it with us, "God has a plan for me", and He has a plan for YOU.

One of the hardest things in life is having something but not knowing what it's intended purpose in life is.

Our prayer today is that as we go thru life, thru little by little and step by step, we get to know God's plan in our life. And that plan starts when we say and believe it in ourselves that God has a plan in my life. And it manifests when we realize that we need a connection with God more and more in order for me to know that plan He has in my life.

God is with you.

"For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord."

-Luke 2:11

Tidings, is an old-fashioned word that simply means news and information. Bidding someone “good tidings” wishes them good, positive news and thoughts. So when it is said, "I bid you good tidings", it means that a person is wishing you good news. Christmas tidings mean that someone wishes you joyous thoughts about Christmas.

During this Christmas season that is coupled with the pandemic and you get greeted with good tidings, do you feel the good in it? Do you feel joy in hearing Christmas tidings? And as all of us wear masks, Christmas has also been somewhat masked. It's true reason is masked by thoughts of gifts, parties, fellowship and even family, what we fail to acknowledge and realize is that it is about CHRIST. We should see it the way we should really see it, that HE is the reason for the season.

Do you feel joy in the coming of Jesus Christ?

Be Thankful

Be thankful that you don’t already have everything you desire.

If you did, what would there be to look forward to?

Be thankful when you don’t know something,

for it gives you the opportunity to learn.

Be thankful for the difficult times.

During those times you grow.

Be thankful for your limitations,

because they give you opportunities for improvement.

Be thankful for each new challenge,

because it will build your strength and character.

Be thankful for your mistakes.

They will teach you valuable lessons.

Be thankful when you’re tired and weary,

because it means you’ve made a difference.

It’s easy to be thankful for the good things.

A life of rich fulfillment comes to those who

are also thankful for the setbacks.

Gratitude can turn a negative into a positive.

Find a way to be thankful for your troubles,

and they can become your blessings.

We've been discussing who Jesus is during the past weeks. From being the Bread of Life, the Light of the World, the Gate, the Good Shepherd, the Resurrection and the Life, the Truth, the Way and the Life, and today, as the True Vine.

So our prayer today is that as we end our Series entitled I am Jesus, we get to determine who Jesus is for us, to each one of us- that our realization of who he is becomes something personal to us.

And as we look at our personal connection with God, the real question here is : Are we abiding in Him?

Do you ABIDE with Christ?

"It takes some of us a lifetime to learn that Christ, our Good Shepherd, knows exactly what He is doing with us. He understands us perfectly."

  • W. Phillip Keller

Psalm 23

A psalm of David.

1 The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.

2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,

he leads me beside quiet waters,

3 he refreshes my soul.

He guides me along the right paths

for his name’s sake.

4 Even though I walk

through the darkest valley,[a]

I will fear no evil,

for you are with me;

your rod and your staff,

they comfort me.

5 You prepare a table before me

in the presence of my enemies.

You anoint my head with oil;

my cup overflows.

6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me

all the days of my life,

and I will dwell in the house of the Lord

forever.

What did Jesus mean when He said that He was the Good Shepherd?

As we go thru our service today, may we find out why our relationship with the Lord was compared to the relationship of a Shepherd and His Sheep. Our prayer today is that at the end of this message, we get not to only see Jesus as the Good Shepherd, but we get to experience Him on what it means to have that Sheep and Shepherd Relationship.

“Life is a matter of choices, and every choice you make makes you.”

—John C. Maxwell

Robert Schuler once asked, " What would you attempt to do if you knew you could not fail?, in relation to that, what if nothing is impossible?, what if you could choose anything over everything?

They say that Life is a series of decisions, from the time you choose to wake up, up until the decision you do on what time to close your eyes and sleep. In the course of your Life so far, What decisions made a difference? What choices changed you? and what unlikely possibility made you think otherwise?

Come join us today and let's answer those questions and learn some thing new too!

with our service with the title: Choosing the Unlikely, our last installment for our series The Invisibles.

"We are closer to God when we are asking questions than when we think we have the answers."

― Abraham Joshua Heschel

Before we start up this Question filled Sunday Service, ask yourself this two short but deep questions:

What is God asking you to do?

and

Where is God asking you to go?

Have you got the answers to each question?

YES? then well and good, still join us and listen.

NO? Come join in and pray that despite the questions you'll get a sense of what God wants you to do and where to go.

In this Life, we will get led to different questions that we would like to ask God. Some may seem hard that we are even hard-up to even ask, and some are just  Questions: Plain and Simple that it almost seems that the question already answers itself.

Are you READY? Are you SET? then let's GO!

Here's our second installment to our The Invisibles Series, with the title : Questions: Plain and Simple.

"I would rather walk with God in the dark than go alone in the light."

-Mary Gardiner Brainard

In everyday life, in each of its ups and downs, in each of it's pushes and pulls and each of it's requests and demands, there is this specific reason why we thrive; why we prosper and why we flourish, why we are able to overcome and why we are able to push thru life.

Do you know what the reason is that we THRIVE?

Come join us today as we look at the life of Joseph in Genesis 39:1-6 and find out the reason why he THRIVED through God's purpose, presence and favor.

Life is a matter of choices, and every choice you make, makes you.

-John Maxwell

Gold goes thru multiple refining stages to remove the impurities until the image of the one refining it can be seen in its shinning and shimmering surface.

Much like gold, We as Christians go thru a lot of refining moments and circumstances that remove the aspects of us that does not reflect, show, and magnify the one who made us. God brings us to refining moments to bring out the best in us and to not only see our true selves but also Him in ourselves.

This August let's discuss this refining moments till we become as pure, refined and polished, as GOLD.

One of the greatest challenge in today's Christian life is to life a life worthy of the calling of God. To not be tempted to blend in to the world and be carried by the flow of the opposition but to live life according to a Gold standard - God's standard.

Our first installment, COUNTER FLOW, let's discuss the story of Daniel in Daniel 6: 1-23 and see how he went against the flow and did a counter flow.
