Leadership is by far the greatest privelege any person can experience. Working together in a team with others on a achieving a goal. There is however the trap of self entitlement and self serving that all leaders fall into, when you stop listening and learning. When you become the keeper of all knowledge and therefore closed to input from others. This has lead to catastrophic results in many sectors where you can ill afford mistakes. Imagine not listening to a nursing staff member when checking a patient's chart and conducting a surgery when the patient required no treatment of that nature. Our ego get's the best of us because we rely on it for our innovation, however we must begin a process where we can disable the ego and not be tempted to jump into the sea of our emotions and commit ourselves to regrettable behavior.
